Thanks CB, but there's not much on there for a price I couldn't get a brand new one with shop warranty now... Not having a car is a real pita too... Means we have to wait until someone is around to give us lifts...

yay just got a baby bath (which DH will probably moan about because it's second hand *sigh*) A chicco pushchair and a changing bag that matches the buggy :) The wheels are pretty worn but surely it's possible to get new ones for a Chicco? Freecycle rocks though :) Very nice lady although much braver than me with 4 small kids
Now I can start training Kira to walk by a buggy hopefully - one of my major musts before Roo actually arrives. I know we're buying an iCandy but I reacon it will come in handy both with training her and as an extra buggy to keep in Daddy's car maybe? hmmm :D

Thats a great idea training her now Tine, I had 2 dogs when Aimee was born... 1 was too afraid to walk next to the pram and would pull behind me... The older, bigger... Dumber dog used to just walk straight under the wheels constantly...

  • Hi everyone.....congratulations to all new mums and mums to be and hugs to those having a bad day.

Still not posting much as I only follow this thread at work at the moment. Will finish work this Friday so will hopefully have more time to keep up with you guys then.

MrsTine - Noticed you said you were buying the iCandy. We bought it at the weekend and I love it but just thought I'd let you know they told us in the shop that the prices were going up quite a lot on 1st of March (over £100.00 for the Apple combo) something to do with $ rate or something. This was after we had comitted to buy so don't think it was just sales talk.

Well we just had a 40 minute walk and it went OK ish... She can't get the hang of walking beside me when I have a buggy and apparently she's developed deafness when it comes to the heel command if there is a buggy involved... but other than that she's good :) Not scared of it and not dumb enough to walk under the wheels lol

Woohoo I fixed my BP moniter and it's a chilled out 130/79 :D

But cleaning the bathroom when my back was allready sore was not such a good idea... I went up for a bath and ended up scrubbing everything, tiles and floor and bath panels and skirting boards

    Still no scan appointment though.

Have you spoken to your mw/consultant recently? In the booklet I got out in the post it said that it was a 14wks scan but with the others I think it was at 10/12wks  The thing is at the central appoinments number the lady was really sympathetic and can understand the need to "see"* everything is ok... I wobbled when offered my appt at 16wks :o so I have 2 appts 1 for scan (12wks), 1 for consultant (16wks) - instead of 1 2hr appt for both. Everyone who had their booking in appt on the same day as me had their paperwork delayed by our doctors surgery though... by the time I queried it with the mw she was already well aware of the problem.

    * I am a bit worried because ms stopped a week or so ago... dd1 I was sick all the time until she arrived, ds ms stopped at 5/6months, dd2 ms stopped at 7/8months... a stupid thing to worry over I know...

I'm probably going to be gone for a few days or so - FIL has been ill in hospital - and was making some improvement, but we were just told this afternoon that he is terminal - his lungs are collapsing somewhat and I think they are just keeping him comfortable at this point until he passes. DH is having real difficulty with it, and I'm going to have to put all my focus on him, DS, and MIL for a bit.

Labour vibes to those that need them. Hope everyone does well this week - and I'll check back in as soon as I am able.
