Mrs T, you gotta go sick. Sounds like it was meant to be with your GP going sick, great that your seeing the one you saw last time.
Thanks hun! The worst part is that what I REALLY want is just for them to leave me alone and let me get on with my job and stop hassling me!
I did have a pregnant brain moment where suddenly something really obvious popped into my head that I should have remembered earlier... Last year in May when I was off getting married a lady doing basically same job as me left (voluntary redundancy) and she used to work from home apart from 2 days a month... SO... if it was ok for HER then why is it not ok for me???? So I don't even need to bring the fact my boss is in the office less than me - they can't just apply rules to one and not others naughty people! If their argument is that it's a H&S issue and they'd have to do a H&S assessment of my home working area then that should apply to the last person as well as say my boss too right? And if they didn't do them for them then why single me out? If they DID do them for them then why can't they do it for me?

I'm just upset that it's all a matter of geography - not satisfaction (or lack there of) with my work quality or quantity... *sigh*

Mrs T, it all makes for a pretty crap atmosphere though which is what I'm going back to after half-term.

Got my 20wk scan at 2pm. Excited but nervous too!

Nope - nothing else needed from me after CVS. I *have* been to see a consultant at hosp, but that's because of my prolapses :( Even then he didn't look or anything, just verbally checked I would have a VBAC (if I'd said no he would have tried to get me to have one anyway. Was more interested in talking to his student about prolapses and the ketones in my sample (couldn't explain them - tee hee!) Am signed off and back under comm mw - I haven't actually seen 'my' midwife yet. Booking in I saw a covering mw and then at 16 weeks I saw a relief mw - and that's it so far! Have got appt next week though (28 week appt and I'll be 27+ but it was then or 3 weeks later) when I'm fully expecting to be referred for my GTT :( - not that I've ever had a problem in previous pgs, but I have a large fam history of diabetes, inc gestational diabetes.

I also want to check on my itching - it's horrendous - I wake myself up scratching my palms and thumbs and it really disturbs my sleep. Only other place I itch is one shoulder - but again I tear at it in bed. I'd like her to rule out OC (obstetric choleostasis (sp)) as she'll be taking bloods anyway. I've itched before in pg but NEVER like this - and (TMI alert) has turned dark and smelly - when it's normally so pale (I drink loads - and that's not changed - if anything my fluid intake is better at the mo as I've switched to mainly herbals rather than PG tips - and I have about a litre of juice/ water mix a day and several mugs of warm milk (heartburn!)) I doubt she'll be interested though...

Ah well - am making cottage pie for tea, so best get on with it!

ness - no they can't tell the flavour at 14 weeks :) Sorry...
Think the earliest they'll normally try and "guess" the flavour is the 20 week scan :)

    hi ladies,

    hope all is well.

MW appt didn't got according to plan yesterday (i was meant to be discussing my birth plan). I had ticked a few too many boxes of the preclampsia symptoms so i got sent up to hosptial. A complete shock for me as i was looking forward to discussing the birth and then it wall went pear shaped.

Oh and to top it off, bubs has spun himself around so he is now back to back which explains my constant back ache.

Anyway, was up the hopsital for a few hours, bubs heartbeat monitored and that was okay, my BP went down and there was no protein in my next sampel so they sent me home.
