  • Hi everyone,

I get my 12 week scan today I am very excited to see the little bubs!! I wish they could tell me what flavour it is I am DYING to know!!! I am consultant lead so will be seeing him or one of his minions so should find out if the bleeding is anything I need to worry about or if I do indeed have a water infection (been drinking cranberry and raspberry juice like its going out of fashion jsut in case!)

RE the childcare thing - when my little one was 8 months I returned to work 3 days a week and for those he goes to one set grandparents on wednesdays, one set on fridays and nursery on thursdays. He thrives off going out and it's so funny as he before he was even one on the days I had him if we wern't going anywhere he would get his shoes and go and sit on the doormat by the front door pointing to it saying 'out'!! I went back 4 days so he now does 2 days at nursery and I have him on a tuesday. I do miss him terribly but he loves going out so on tuesdays when i have him we go to a surestart stay and play and he just thrives off being with other kids. All children are not the same though so what was suitable for us might not be suitable for others. I intend to do the 3 days a week thing again after the baby is born (if the grandparents can cope with 2 that is!) but not decided whether to leave DS in childcare 2 days yet. Guess we will see what happens. Best laid plans and all that! Never know what is round the corner.
  • Morning,

ElleGee, thanks for asking, yeah am ok!

Just so so busy! Trying desperately to finish the house off. Can only get so far as the loft extension is going very slow. I feel I am not doing enough to prepare for the babies coming. My lycos email account which I used to for space and saved all my emails that I wanted to keep all through my life on the internet (and therefore loads of emails) is being closed down by Lycos as they have stopped doing it so trying deperately to forward hundreds of emails to my hotmail account. Making plans for 30th birthday (less than 30 days to go!) and trying to work around some stubborn people (family!).

Pregnancy wise, am ok. No, in fact, change that - in comparison to some people, I feel great. Just the same old tiredness, heartburn and leaky boobs but add to that the restricted mobility! Twins are moving loads!

Proud mother of twin boys - double the trouble and twice the pleasure! :T
  • Bah, I've had a rotten night... Feel like I didn't drop off at all.. And was definitely still awake when Aimee woke up at 3:30 because she'd been lying on her arm and sent her hand to sleep... Dishwasher man turned up at 7:50! Had to make the sandwiches because hubby couldn't while there was someone else in the kitchen... (asked the dishwasher man about the washing machine and he said it sounds like the motor's gone... So expensive... Goodbye bedroom carpet...:()

And today is a busy day too... Aquanatal this afternoon... Followed by Aimee's swimming lesson... And then I have to come home, throw some tea down her neck and as soon as Hubby walks in from work go and babysit for my friends two children... No early night for me... :(
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh so tired.

The people next door are noisy and horrid. They have two or three kids and a dog. They leave the dog alone all day in the flat and he barks and barks and doesn't stop. The kids (oldest is about 13) aren't allowed house keys but can get into the building somehow, and they spend two hours every afternoon playing in the stairway, running up and down and yelling. They also do this for ten minutes every morning, starting at 7:30. We've asked them multiple times to be reasonable human beings but they just will not do it.

If we complain before our beastie's born, our landlords will attempt to evict us because the neighbours have children and we don't, and German laws protect families with children. As soon as we have a newborn, however, the law switches to be on our side and we will get rid of them.

We also want their apartment, because it is bigger. But that is just a bonus to being able to sleep at night and not be disturbed all day.

on a personal note I think under 4's are best at home/with family provided they are with someone who cares about their education and takes them to groups and out an about etc. I will only send Chris to pre-school/nursery for his free hours when he gets them and not before. i think he's best here with me, I spend time throughout the day talking to him, showing him things and teaching him without him even realising it
I'm not saying anyone is wrong for using a nursery just I don't like them myself
See I'm different, well aside from the fact I wanted to work, and worked 4/5 days a week anyway, I figured when he got to about 2 he'd probably be better off in nursery, makes me sound like a right bad Mum, but when I had DS I was just a stupid bint really, wanted a baby just because, didnt care how I got one, and although I was in a relationship I fell pregnant far too quickly and it all went wrong, ended up with PND and struggled really for 3.5 years :o
I think DS thrived in Nursery, unfortunately Mum was in no position to look after him as she was working full time then had 2 ops on each hand so could barely loook after herself!
I wont be going back to work 4/5 days a week with this one, but 2 is enough I think, and he will be going into nursery unless OH's Mum and My mum decide to help out, but My mum is a full time carer to Nan so makes life a bit difficult! :D
