Am I not allowed to say a few words because I am an employee?
My basic points were that yes we have an unusual way of marketing our wine, but we have have 50,000 active clients in Australia stretching back 35 years. So admittedly we have only a small market share.
Having a personalised wine tasting in one's own home or office is not what most people want but for our clients it is what they want.
They enjoy the experience and like the wine.
My favourite part of the job is the people we visit. This week a lovely group of older ladies bought a case between them. They had a great time :-)
I presented our wine to 9 brand new clients this week and 6 of them chose to order. Most of them will continue to get wine from their vineyards, or bottle shop. Our wine simply compliments what they already do.
Cheers
I wouldn't have bothered, mate, chances are it's going to be deleted again, because the face doesn't fit......
It seems that it is a "negative criticism only" forum this....0 -

Sunny UK................:rolleyes:0 -
I'm brand new here having stumbled upon these boards via Google. However thanks to the knowledge shared here my offer of a free tasting and binoculars is now off to be recycled. Presumably into another form of unsolicited junk mail!0

Today, I received the survey offering the free binoculars which is going straight in the bin. I have been getting these letters every 6 months or so for about 5 years. About 4 years ago I searched the net for more information and came across a site that said that your phone numbers are passed on to a debt collection company also owned by the same people.
There is no details on the survey letter explaining what your information is used for or who it is passed on to.
If this is a genuine offer, why do they need to be so cloak and dagger about it all. If the product and service is so good, why not tell people about it from the beginning? It does not make any business sense not to......
It would be interesting to know if anyone who has returned the survey has had any strange calls from a debt recovery company or similar.

One of my bosses says he's a soft touch and always says ok when they offer to send a new brochure, but last time they called his wife answered, told them their wine was overpriced and not that nice anyway, and Sainsburys was doing a good deal on wine... he hasn't heard from them since
I would do it if it meant getting a few bottles of wine for free, I would have no qualms in then telling them that I didn't want any more from them (unless by some miracle it was actually good value, drinkable wine of course)

Matter of economics.
Large companies sell the defaulted debts to outside recovery companies for 30 to 50 pence in the pound.
We don't.
If you owe us money for an unpaid invoice or two. You would not get phone calls to call your debts in, you will receive 3/4 postal reminders, after which legal proceedings will be started.
I suspect, that sooner rather than later, the company will only accept payment upfront for our goods, and phase out COD and 30 days credit.

reply for jodibraithwaite the reason you did not recieve the wine is most probably because first orders have got to be paid in advance.0
