Does this apply to anyone or only those previously had CIFAS markers?
anyone, everyone, all.
These companies have info on each and every one of us. Regardless, they update with house insurance policies, life policies, council housing, dole & benefits, criminal records the lot! Nothing is missing from them apparently.
If a member of staff from say Hunter wanted to commit ID theft, they could and would be multi millionaires within a day!
Yes, major DPA issues but no-one has ever taken them or the laws on - until now that is! UK26 vs Experian (google it)2010 - year of the troll

Bottom line, I 'heard' a rumour that for a backhander, N Hunter will delete your records..... also have a contact name there to text, you then pay cash into PayPal and presto - your record has gone.
These companies are no better than a loan shark in that they dictate who lends to you and how much. Obviously not directly but with the data they share. All 7 companies share info in rounds so month by month they collaborate and update each others systems with CIFAS hidden files being the only exception as the lender requests they remain hidden (why> god only knows)....
Want a better example?

Right last post before a cig (my fingers hurt typing so much!)
Lets assume that you apply for credit using false details and the lender adds a cifas against your address (cifas are registered only to address not name), they can leave a footprint with cifas telling other lenders to contact them prior to making a decision and then the other lender would ring lender 1 and verbally speak to someone who would say this and that. Lender 2 would then add another cifas, in public view, but all the while it was created because lender 1 wasn't happy with the provided info and until you prove to them then it'll keep happening. The reason it works like this is a SAR avoidance system cos then lenders speak to each other verbally meaning there is no paper trail.....
Like I said several times - they are dodgier than the dodgiest people I know! Do not trust CRA's or the like, they are all greedy for profit companies with the exception of CIFAS who to be fair, seem to follow the rules once reminded of them.2010 - year of the troll

I'm fine thanks Innocent, how are you?
I'm going to watch Burnley beat Arsenal (fingers crossed) I'm not a Burnley fan, but one less good team in the F.A Cup the better for Man Utd!!0 -

I don't know if you have seen or heard this about certain companies in construction industry paying agencies to collect data about potential employees - from criminal records, employment history/references, and so forth.0
