    Morning,

Had a horrible night.. been awake since 3:30am when had a nasty incident with my neighbour :( Was woke up to hammering on my window and door ...thinking it may be OH or OHs lil bro in trouble (i.e. locked out of theirs etc) i answer....to be confronted with this neighbour and a mate (both Youngish rough looking lads) Have never spoke to them before.. he asks do i have jump cables... considering they know i dont have a car...... hmm... i say no sorry and edge to shut the door... but he gets in the way then starts asking all sorts of questions about me and who i live with and do i have a boyfriend.. and edging his way closer.. then asks can he look round my house and other really creepy/scary questions.. all while eyeing me up like i was a piece of meat.. talking about coming in for coffee.. and telling his mate to go back to theirs while he "makes friends" with his neigbour over coffee... anyway i feel really awkward and uneasy.. so after literally pushing him out the way i ring my OH hoping hes awake... he offers to come round but i say no (as i know he has a temper and would kick off ) he then tells me to ring the police then... so i say i will.. but instead ring my mum (for reassurance and to ask her should i ring the police).. next thing theres a knock at the door and a shout through the letterbox.. it was OH... and his kid brother (who are both built like a s***house doors!) theyd come to make sure i was ok and to take me to theirs... so i throw a coat over my pjs and go with them... as we get to the end of the street theres the neighbour by his car... hood up and staring at me really intimidatingly.. had to grab OH and his Bro to stop them going for him... So we walked to maccies (we have a 22hr one) and they got food then we went back to OHs house where ive been till now - havent slept... and feel really uneasy about coming back here. Its really shook me.. wondering why he did what he did and now scared cos i stupidly admitted i lived alone!!!! :( Going up to my mums in a moment when ive finished my cuppa tea to have breakfast as i dont wanna be here... between this and the fact the other house over the road had their 3 front windows smashed with housebricks earlier in the week at 6pm when the kids where in the living room... im starting to think the sooner i move out this area the better!! :(:(

Sorry for rambling... just really shaken and cant help wondering what his motives where and what might happen now :(

Will spend today at my mums doing my washing... and maybe see OH this afternoon to go through his financial paperwork as he only told me this week hes got debt collection agencies after him :( And as hes useless at finances im gonna help him.

Not very OS today though i think...

Breakfast: full english at my mums!! (a treat)
    Lunch: Dunno
Tea: Possibly roast chicken, carrot + parsnip + swede, roast potatoes

    have nice day everyone.. xxx

Johanne - He assaulted you - call the police and report it. From my legal days - putting someone in fear of imminent attack and/or danger is assaulting someone - even 'funny phonecalls' can be classed as assault. He didnt have to touch you, enough to put the frighteners that he might is enough. Please, please please report it to the police as that piece of scum does not the have the right to go around behaving like that.

On a side note - this country is going to poop because of louts on the street and its about time it was all reported to the police and make them do something about it. Not doing anything is tantamount to condoning their actions. My boyfs mum is still pressuring the police to act as they did nothing when his brother was beaten up in the street by a drunken lout whilst he was walking the dog with his mum (bearing in mind that he barely leaves the house anyway as he has a slight disability). Can you imagine how horrific it is - statistics dont reflect the reality of crime in this country and the law abiding majority just puts up with it! (I'll get off my soapbox now...)

The BM is on, as is the WM and wonder of wonders, I found the bottom of the dirty washing basket, last night! Haven't seen that since last summer! See what a good influence you are on me. :rotfl:

This made me chuckle - my husband joked the last time i "found" the bottom of the washing basket that I had found his PE kit from primary school! Cheeky sod!

    hugs to Joanne.

Not doing much today,OH away with work so just me and kids. They are off to Sunday School soon. WM will be on and general tidy up while they are away. Ironing this afternoon :( Its pretty dull and dank here today, if it brightens up may go for a walk with kids.

  • Yikes, Johanne, that's awful. You poor thing! Big hugs go out to you.

Hopefully, having seen that you can - at very short notice - be accompanied by two very big and "in yer face" blokes, it will put yon muppet of a neighbour off coming to visit again.

Yep, I reckon I'd be looking for somewhere else to live right about now, too!

We had problems with our neighbours in our previous house. We were sitting quietly watching t.v. one night when all hell breaks loose next door - a girl screaming, crashes, male shouts, more crashes, thumps and bangs .. then running footsteps out the front door and his girlfriend is out in the road screaming for help. Turns out some fella has hopped in through an open back window and knifed the guy. EEK! Our DS was only 9months old at the time, so there was no way on this earth I was opening the front door. I just got straight on to the Police and told them there was a young female screaming in the road that her BF had just been stabbed. That got 'em motivated and they were round in a twinkling. Took us days to get over it, though - and we never EVER opened the front door after dark unless we'd been telephoned to expect somebody calling. So glad when we got out of there!

Hope the rest of your day improves radically! :)
:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:

    Hi all

Johanne - what a terrifying experience. I had something similar when I lived alone and was totally freaked out by it....can OH come and stay with you for a bit?

I am actually being very OS today! Beds stripped, WM on, BM had loaf ready at 8am, SC is on with Cottage Pie mix from recipe on recent thread. Just taken 3yo DS's train track apart to vacuum thru but will have to rebuild it after (v big and v complicated) ! Very grey and rainy day here so don't know what the rest of the day holds really...see how DS feels ( he has a cold ).

Posh Paws - did I read somewhere about you and "Mummy bread"? What's that all about?

    have a good day all,

Johanne: have you got a safety chain on your door? If not, I suggest that you get yourself down to B&Q pronto and get one. They're really easy to fit (better still, get the OH to fit it....) and will stop anyone getting through your front door unless you want them to come in. I'd also talk to the police - if not for your sake, then think about the other single women living in the street. Someone else might not be as lucky as you. Finally, I think I'd be tempted to get a personal attack alarm and carry it in my coat pocket when coming home in the evenings. Some police forces give them out for free to women who have been intimidated, as do some victim support units. It's worth asking - they may even come and do a free security survey of your flat (I know the local neighbourhood police officer where I used to live would do a free security survey to tell people what else they needed to do to secure their homes).

    Hi All

Hugs to everyone who needs them

    Didn't have a great night.

Got into work to find all the recycling I'd bagged up to take away today had been thrown away and all the paper scattered all over the car park. So I spent half an hour in the rain clearing it up, as it's obvious it was ours. Left a note for the cleaner not to touch my recycling. It was obvious what it was as it was in boxes lable RECYCLING:mad:
