Good morning PP and everybody else :hello:
We got loads done at work yesterday so I DON'T HAVE TO GO IN TODAY! HURRAH!!!! :j :j :j :j I really do need my Saturdays for a bit of R&R, and for getting everything done around the house. Also, boss was being a right b*tch yesterday and I'm very pleased I don't have to swap my "me time" for spending the day with her!!
It's also quite unusual for me to be up before 9am on a Saturday - I have been known to sleep until the afternoon- but I woke just before 8 needing to go to the toilet, and was quite "awake" IYKWIM, so am now in bed with my laptop prior to going down and getting breakfast, which will be a cup of Earl Grey (the Lidl brand) and a bowl of Oatso Simple. I just nipped downstairs to put the kettle on.
Had a not very moneysaving evening yesterday. Bought a bottle of wine in a bar to share with a colleague I'd just got to know. I would have just got us a glass each, but it was on "buy two large glasses, have the rest of the bottle free"So that cost me £10. I had a £6 underspend from the rest of the week, £2 unspoken for in my weekly cash withdrawal, and £2 I can probably siphon off my grocery money, so I should be able to get away without a top up.
Plus I did drop into Sainsburys on the way home and got a mixed salad, half a dozen free range eggs and a portion of Thai Sticky Rice - all for 60p
OK, must get up and get sorted. I'll have a surf while drinking my cuppa. Then off into Bexleyheath to shop around for new glasses and buy veggies at Asda. I've got some clothes for work which need dry cleaning as well, so I'll take them into the cheapo place locally that does 4 items for £6I can easily get together a batch of 8 items.
More later :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Morning everyone,
Well its the weekly stand in a cold muddy field morning this morning, watching a group of nine year olds run after a ball, think its called football!!!! Not sure where it is today tho, so will have to follow some of the other mums/dads and hope i dont get lost!!!! Have my trusty flask now, for a nice cuppa to help warm me up, and going to put on 2 pairs of socks in hope that will help keep my feet warm, they normally turn to ice within 10 minutes!!!!
Once we get back home, DD and DS are off with their dad for the day, although DS will stay at his house overnight and will be back tomorrow evening, DD refuses to sleep, but i should be gratefull that he is actually having her today, to often if she wont sleep, he refuses to have her (he is not a nice bloke, and then he wonders why she wont sleep at his house when she never sees him!!!!) anyway, it does mean i have an afternoon to myself, he only has them once a month (great dad eh!!!) so i never know what to do with myself!!!
Anyway, must go for a shower, and start layering my clothes on so i dont get cold later!!!
Take care everyone, hope you feel better soon PP and the OU is sorted out for you.
Hope everyone has lovely days off/and weekends away!!!!

Morning all
A very slow start to the day, despite being up since 7.45am - I'm still sat here in my dressing gown, although breakfast is done and WM and TD are both on!
Am about to jump in the bath, as I've got a very busy day ahead of me. Dh and I are both going out tonight - together without DD :T
My aunt has kindly offered to babysit - so I have to make sure the house is all clean and tidy - and at the mo it resembles a bomb site
Also I've got to pop into town and buy a birthday pressie and card - as the reason we're going out tonight is it's my bestfriend's surprise 40th birthday party
B: Croissants
L: SandwichesEating out :T
Might pop in later but will probably be too busy.
Take care everyone - byee!Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Morning All
This will have to be a quick post as DD is on the prowl and her new favourite thing is hitting the laptop keys. Hugs to PP and Ronanfanuk. Have a good day everyone.
I'm finishing the cleaning today and I've got some washing to do. It turns out that OH has got to work late on Valentines day so we will be having our meal tonight. He only told me this last night so I havent got the ingredients in, time for a rethink me thinks. The only other thing I've got on is to nip to my dads to drop off wicked step-mother birthday present, two faced I know but it keeps my dad happy. I think that my step-sis will be there with her new baby so that should make the trip more bareable.Sorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Hello everbody & hugs who need them,
Stinking hot day here again.Had to have the air con on this arv. I hate it when it's this humid. I've had a rather lazy day due to lots of nasty pains in the tummy.
But I did spark up about 6pm and mow the lawn. I've also been trying really hard to make sense out of a crochet pattern I've got. Tomorrow DD and I are going to see a film. Walk the Line I think it's called. It's about Johnny Cash's life. Looks good. I hope to do some baking in the arv.
For tea tonight had some leftovers & DD has just gone in to get a sundae for a treat. Cherry Ripe one me thinks. I'm off for a week on Wednesday. Not the best of timings as if the house goes through when I get back, I'll just have 2 weeks to pack up. But it has been planned for ages, so not much I can do but enjoy it. Anyway. off to watch some telly. Enjoy your Saturday.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Haven't read the posts yet, so apologies if I'm not responding to something I ought to be responding to - and hugs to all those feeling rough or in need!
Today is, I suspect, going to be one of those days when DH expects more to happen than actually does.I have plans to get the WM on (net curtain in there at the moment), do the huge pile of dishes (I didn't do the dinner dishes because of the Olympics opening ceremony - as it turned out, I could have done, as the actual ceremony started an hour after the programme did! Grrrr!) and then get out into the garden to begin the task of reclaiming it from nature and dogs. I think I've got a patio out there somewhere .. under bags of vegetable peelings that never made it to the composter because of the mud. YEUK!! So, first job is to don the rubber gloves and get that lot put in the right place .. not looking forward to that, as worms give me the chronic collywobbles. I shall have to be very brave .. and jump around a lot, whilst going "yeuk!" and "bleah!" and "aarrgh!" and others which shall not be repeated.
I've got a few bits to list on Ebay, so maybe I'll do that as light relief from the worms. *chuckle*
DH, on the other hand, will probably be hoping for a trip to the local Games shop followed by a day spent on the X-Box. All this is fine, so long as he's not spending any money and doesn't involve me in any of it. *chuckle* Oh dear ... don't I sound a wet blanket.
I'm sure my son is part dolphin - he's been in the bath for hours, so I'd better go and pull the plug on him before he turns into a prune.
Meal plans today :
B : porridge with linseed and honey
L : something involving eggs
T : coconut & cherry cake with a cuppa
D : shepherd's pie followed by apple filo parcels & custard:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -
Hi everyone,
I've not done much yet today - but am going to the football later with my OH - a birthday present. Will have to resist the urge to spend crazy amounts of money on Bovril and a pie!
Washing up is done and think will make blueberry muffins this afternoon too.
B - Nothing
L - salmon and salad
T - soup

Morning everyone. I`m sure I`m one of many who read this thread every day but don`t post here that often. It makes the world a better place when we can empathise through the ups and downs of `virtual` strangers.
I`ve just done a sort-out of my paperwork and guarantees etc and now all important stuff is neatly filed in a concertina file and instruction books etc are in plastic box files stacked on a shelf. Receipts are in a glass beaker so I can see how many I am accumulating this month!! I must admit that I`ve hardly shopped at all since being conscious of using `things` up after reading the february use it up thread. I reckon that with the amount of stuff I have got that I`ll be the last one posting on there
Need to do a quick lunch as visiting later so all in steamer at once but the veg added after 10 minutes.
frozen white fish, basmati rice, broccolli and some aldi hollandaise sauce in a cup covered in clingfilm
Easy morning for me really as all children grown up. All washing done last night and drying nicely indoors. Nice day here but we`re not able to dry outside.
I think I have also tweaked rads to my satisfaction as all on when ch is on but all low. I am so surprised at how quickly my body has adapted to being cooler
Spring is almost in the air. Those feeling a bit `down` try to get some sun on your face even if it is only by sitting reading by a sunny window. Important to feed the pineal gland behind the eyes with sunlight to keep up the feelgood factor0
