Often a person gets lots of responses and can't (or won't) respond to them all individually. My group asks that people post a "Taken" message to the group so that all the hopefuls know that it has gone.
You can check back through the messages on your local group to see if that's what they did.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Morning all :hello:
and Happy Birthday JackieO and scottishspendaholic!!!!
scottishspendaholic - ssshhhhh!!! you'll make JackieO feel old :rotfl:
Actually there are people on here who make me feel old (at 27) - so many of you seem to be younger than me and with multiple children!!!
Well done everybody who had an unusually good night's sleep! Especially Jo and PP!!! I overslept this morning  - possibly something to do with the fact that I didn't get to sleep until nearly 3am  - I woke up at 7:56 and knew I needed to leave the house at 8:05 if I wanted any chance of being on time for work! Was quite impressed that in nine minutes I managed to get out of bed, dress myself in a clean, co-ordinated and accessorised outfit, brush my hair, get lunch out of the fridge, empty my bedroom bin and clear some dodgy odds and ends out of the fridge (it's bin day today where I live). Yuck, I do hate going out in the morning without a shower, though. And I could have done with washing my hair this morning too.
This afternoon I'm having my eyes tested - I'm currently on a direct debit scheme for contact lenses, which gets me free eye tests with that optician, but as soon as I've had my free eye test I'll be cancelling the contact lens scheme (rarely wear them) and going elsewhere to buy my glasses if I need them! My optician is quite an expensive one because they have branches in prestigious locations and luxury facilities. I think even if I go to Specsavers instead of online, I'll be able to undercut the cost of my current pair by between 25% and 50% depending on what frames and lenses are most suitable (and get a BOGOF second pair!).
Current pair of glasses have done pretty well - they cost me over £300  (yeah, pre-MSE - how did you guess?) but they've lasted four years and survived all sorts, including being bent back into shape after a nasty accident when I got thrown halfway up the aisle of a bus from the centre back seat when the driver slammed the brakes on suddenly. And I regularly fall asleep in them too
After that I have a singing lesson, which should mean that I'm arriving back at my home station around 9:30-10:00pm which can be bonanza time for reduced bargains at mini-Sainsburys (near the station)!
Anyway, lots to do - catch you later

Happy Birthday to JackieO, Scottishspendaholic and weenie. There have been quite a few birthdays this month. Hope you don't need to be an aquarian to be an OSer.
I'm feeling a bit crappy today. I think i've been overdoing it over the last couple of days, as my fatigue is much worse again today. It could be something to do with DH waking me up at 6:45, and then him staying in bed till 7:30 while his alarm went off. I wanted to try and get up early. I'm going to have to go back to the drs for some more tests i think...
I managed to move the bookcase upstairs yesterday, but i've still got a lot of the books downstairs. My plan is to take an armful up each time i go upstairs today. Hopefully it will look better by this afternoon :T
BM has been on once today, but DH demolished most of it, so i'll have to put it on again later. I need to do a couple of loads of washing, then i think i want to do some of the new rug that i've started.
Breakfast was HM bread and jam, lunch ??? i might do porridge for ease and full factor, and tea will be fish pie.
kitchen is quite tidy as i did the sides last night, and i've hoovered downstairs this morning.
Have a nice day everyone.

Big hugs to those who need them :grouphug:
MATH - what's your secret to weightloss while OS? I've put on nearly a stone over the past 12 months:eek:
Bargin Rzl - you're not old...I'm only just 27 with 1 child
Having a sort of day off today. I'm having the morning off to compute but it may turn into an afternoon off as well :shhh: Yesterday I managed to clean the entire house (properly!) from top to bottom. There was only 2 jobs (excluding outside) that I didn't do and that was due to a lack of cleaning cloths  They can be done tomorrow though so I'm not worried.
So far today WM emptied and cleaning cloths out on the washing line blowing as it a really windy day, DD done and off to school and some money paid off the credit card.
Still to do :- Dishes to be washed - after dinner as there are only the breakfast dishes to do ATM :j
- Dry dishes to be put away
- Make tonights dinner - cauliflower cheese  (will be re-reading the thread about that in a minute)
Oh well, better go and make myself another hot drink as my fingers are starting to get cold again. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

My secret is to cook lots and eat little;) Seriously 14 months ago my daytime eating habits were shocking. I survived all day on a diet of strong coffee and 30 cigarettes only to binge of chocolate and crisps all evening once I had eaten dinner. It's been this way pretty much since I was sixteen and I'm 21 now:rolleyes: I have always been slim on this starve binge regime but since stopping smoking I have put on a stone (it's nice to finally be loosing it). I walk 4-6 miles a day for excercise and eat four small meals a day. At first I had to force brekky down as I havn't eaten breakfast since I was about 10 but I'm getting used to it now.
Today I will be eating:-
B @ 9:30am 30g of unsugared cereal with minimum skim milk
L @ 12:30pm Lo-cal cuppa soup, two rounds of bread (no spread or butter)
D @ 5:00pm HM minted lamb pie, mash (milk no butter) and loads of steamed veggies. Syrup sponge and custard (I will skip this and have a lo-cal yoghurt and some fruit)
S & 9:00pm as breakfast
Drinks:-
upto 4 cups of coffee (milk no sugar)
one half glass of wine
unlimited water *sip*
I'm loosing a couple of pounds a week which is about right but am soooo looking forward to reaching my target and being able to add in a few treats. It takes a lot of willpower not to snatch chocolate buttons from the hands of small children when I'm out and about:eek:
Happy birthday JackieO and scottishspendaholic and Thriftylady's DS
Hope Yall (even those not celebrating a birthday) have a great day

Afternoon Peeps!!
Having a VERY good day todaydespite it starting at some unearthly hour I believe is known as 6.30am
Got up at daft o'clock as we went for our 20 week scan this morning. Fidget's still in there (can't believe I wondered!!
), bouncing merrily away (still very aptly named!), with 2 lips, 2 hands, 2 feet, and everything else he (that could still be she - we dont know!!) should have, and nothing (that they can see) that he shouldnt have. So all in all :j :j :j
The sonographer very kindly filled in the card we wrote for mum, and put the baby's sex (she reckon's she's about 85% certain), sealed it up and gave us it back. So although we dont know - we could find out!! Trying very hard not to give in to temptation!!!!
Got back and made Delumptious (delicious and scrumptious combined) jacket potatoes with egg mayo for lunch, so now fit to bust.
SC on with pork in thai green curry sauce with chickpeas and lentils, will have with brown rice and veggies. Done my meal plan for rest of week and now feeling very virtuous!!
Happy Birthday to all those it applies to!! Hope you have lovely day's and get spoiled lots and lots. Jackie - that cake sounds FAB!!
Right - off to sit and pretend to be working whilst surfing through here!! Have a good one all.I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle0
