  • Hi everyone,

Its my birthday too today (there's a lot of it about) - the grand old age of 26.

i'd love a piece of your cake, JackieO - can you send some my way - ha ha!

Just about to go and get organised - on holiday this week so a bit behind my usual routine. Think I will have a satisfying birthday by cleaning the house - not everyone's idea of a good time - but it is mine! Think I am turning into Monica!

Anyway - hope you all have lovely days.

    Good morning everyone

It looks as if last night was a better one all round, so that's good news. I had a fairly lazy day yesterday, as I felt really rough. A bit better today, so must catch up on missed housework. We have a cream-coloured rug in the living room, which has been liberally decorated with clumps of black fur by our long-haired black cat. So some vacuuming is in order.
I missed my keep fit group last night, as I didn't think I could cope with a whole hour of exercises - did a 10 minute routine from a video at home instead.

    Have a good day!

Not a lot of sleep. DD4 woke at 11pm screaming and didn't settle until 2am. Not sure why either? She wanted to play/scream etc. OH came downstairs with her and they slept (eventually) on the sofa!

They both looked so cute together cuddled up this morning! Took photos!

Why oh why - when you think that things cant get any worse they suddenly do?? Opend a letter that arrived this morning which told us that the scum who hurt DD1 has appealed against his sentence and has got an appeal date this month that also coincides with my Mums and Dads birthday and I was planning on spending time with them.

Instead I have to drag people to london (assuming I can get time off from my miserable boss) and have OH all upset again.

Rant over. Sorry. I'll go and do some fast/heavy typing at work and bring out some frustration on that.

Anyway. Changed phone providers last night to Talk Talk. They cost £10.49 a month - it includes line rental and free eve/weekend calls. Thats almost half what BT charge me. Used Quidco too for cashback! In 2 weeks I can change our internet providers as well! I reckon I can save about £25 a month by changing these two!

Dinner tonight will be burgers asnd chips (all HM and oven baked!!) Off to put the burgers together in a minute to get them ready for this evening - have OU tutorial so need to get in/feed/out asap.

WM is on! (Surprise, Surprise) and kitchen is clean (that really is a surprise!!) and chin only half up!!!!

    Have a great day everyone

:j HAPPY BIRTHDAY JackieO and Scottishspendaholic :j

    Morning all

Woke up with a sore throat and scratchy ears this morning, DH told me to have a lie in while he got DD's ready and took them to school....he even managed to set the DW going before he went and the kitchens all clean and tidy :j

Not working today, just as well, so will attack the ironing basket and the bathroom. Made a yummy turkey and veg soup last night - will have some for lunch today.

Brekkie - Half and Half toast, served in bed with a cup of tea (he's after something!!)
    Lunch - soup
Dinner - Sausage and bubble and squeak

Going to do a bit more crocheting today - I've done around 13 of my 15 squares and started joining them in strips, will then do a border round the edge....really chuffed, for my first effort it looks great. DD wants it as a blanket for her dolls but I'm going to give it to my cousin when her baby arrives. My grandmother crocheted all my baby blankets for DD1 and I've still got them all, sadly my Gran died before my 2nd was born and my cousin was just saying the other day how she'd have loved to have some HM stuff from my gran for her 1st born too. I've dug out the beautiful shawl she made and I'll give that to my cousin along with my blanket.. she was closest to Gran so I think she'll be touched.

Anyway - off to relax in a nice hot bath before the ironing onslaught starts.

charlotte - so sorry to read about the appeal - not familiar with your situation, but it sounds cr*ppy from your post. Take care x.
ss & jackieO - - MANY HAPPY RETURNS!!!

Out to post an ebay package at lunchtime. Sausages for dinner tonight (out of freezer - yippee, I remembered) followed by Tesco shopping.

Has anyone heard from Queenie over the last week?

Need to knuckle down at work today, so had better go.
  • Morning everyone

Happy Birthday to JackieO and Scottishspendaholic

Quiet day here today so time to clean out the kitchen cupboards i think!! Dont know what i might find in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had a quote for double glazing yesterday - it was just over £4000 for 7 windows and 2 doors so i think thats quite good. Hopefully when we have it done it should reduce our heating bills especially when we have the roof redone. Off to parents evening tonight for out DS so goodness only knows what the teacher will say as he hasnt being doing very well on his spelling tests recently.

    B - cereal
    L - wrap
    D - HM stew

    Have a good day everyone

    Liz xx
