Math - you can't possibly tell us about weight loss and jeans like that and not show us............... We demand proof.....and we'll all get ideas for making our DH's jeans from all our scraps!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
KC Don't give up - it took me 5 tries years ago (and no there was not a guy with a red flag walking in front of me! lol)
Feel a fool as I was rushing to get in the car last night and was getting over a low fence when my foot caught - went flying - banged my mouth on the bumper of a car - fell heavily on right knee and then managed to fall on my back!
Luckily I did not break a tooth but leg is black and blue and badly swollen and back hurts if I move suddenly.
Spent most of day lying on bed with DD who is still being sick and looks really peaky.
She is determined to go back to school tomorrow so need to go iron a blouse etc.
Made a nice soup in slow cooker with loads of veg and barley, lentils, split peas etc.
Hugs to everyone feeling ill."This site is addictive!"

Kiwi: Sorry to hear that hun, :grouphug: I echo Math - the best drivers dont pass first time. I have a freind who passed first time and she has had more crashes than ive had hm bread slices (a lot - hence the weight recently going up  ). My mum passed first time too and she is an awful driver.
I finished work early today and took a short lunch as I wanted to get to the walk-in place (it was really full in there!) about last nights incident and she reckons it probably is panic attacks, my blood pressure is fine ('perfect') etc, and that I should go to the docs and get myself a prescription to knock myself out in the evenings to break the cycle of them being at night - which should hopefully cure me (fingers crossed). Ill have to tell the boss I need to make an appointment this week, I bet that will go down well
Anyway, im off to forage for food, boyf offered to cook but he wanted to go to tesco first which would take hours and I really cant wait that long!

Kiwi - I passed on the 4th attempt. I was a nervous driver. I ended up taking flu medication the last time to keep me calm. The sort that says not to operate heavy machinery. (Don't recommend it.)
Don't give up! I've been driving for a year now and haven't had an accident yet.
Learn from your mistakes and don't rush into taking another test. Good luck!0 -
I didnt pass till my 8th attempt  I hate driving (I dont even own a car now). I find it the most boring thing ever and while I was doing it I found my mind was on everything else except the road. I was a danger to everyone.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Hi All,
Kiwichick - Sorry to hear that you did not pass your test. It took me 6 times to pass my test, but I got there in the end. I found Bachs Rescue Remedy ( about £4ish pounds in Boots) helped with my nerves.
MATH - Congratulations on your weight loss.
I have had a stressful day at work, with phones ringing, and customers moaning! One ever called my collegue a "sarcastic b!£ch" as she put the phone down . Never mind. Got home, and had tea prepared by my Dad (very good cook) and put the rubbish out. Then put my DS to bed and did my paidtoclicks. have decided to watch that programme on at 9pm about a really fat bloke (OH was telling me about it). Off now to warn the water authorities, as I'm about to have a long soak in the bath.
have a good evening all ... Powie:DA woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water.:D0
