Just back from work. I enjoyed my os day yesterday. I am lucky in that I get a good cooked lunch at work, so only have to cook for dd when I come in. Also get a bowl of porridge in the morning at work. Gave dd fish pie and baked apples and custard - all made yesterday. I just had the baked apples.

Taking the cat and new kitten to the vet for their jabs tonight and then a pile of ironing (there always seems to be a pile of ironing!). Fancy making flap jacks, but usually shattered by 8' oclock and good intentions go out of the window.

kiwi - :grouphug: I still haven't passed mine :o (I only tried once, that was years ago, got 100% on my theory test but 3 major faults on practical, then moved to London and don't need car anyway!)

MrsB - I LOVE YOUR SIGNATURE!!! The Phantom Tollbooth is one of my favourite books :D It's so clever but there's so much about "life" in it too, and Rhyme and Reason actually make me cry when I read the book aloud...

Ho hum, just finishing off a piece of work and then I'll be heading home for my dinner.

    Catch you later
    Rzl xx

Hugs :grouphug: Kiwi, took me 3 goes, on my second attempt, my now ex made me feel so bad that he made me cry, was such a horrible man, and we actually split up for good (HURRAH) 2 days before my third test. Was so angry with him (and worried about the future with a 3 year old and 18 month old) that i got in, told the examiner i was on my third go, and passed (only just, but it was a pass) so keep going and enjoy your wine and choccies!!!
MATH, well done, nearly at your target weight!!!!

Sorry Kiwi. You'll know exactly what to expect next time though put today behind you & I bet you'll sail through it. Every time you see someone do something daft whilst driving just keep telling yourself that 'if that pr*t can do it, I certainly can.' I'm sure your instructor has told you this but the only real secret to the reverse is to go REALLY SLOWLY. The more time you give yourself the more accurate you're likely to be. (I'm training to be a driving instructor & that's what I was told anyway.)
MATH - they're only jealous chuck. They just don't know real style when they see it!

    Hello everyone

I'm home now from the Hammer House of Hissy Hussies (ie work) - it's b!tch city there, I just didn't notice before how normal it is to have as many faces as the town hall clock. Somebody asked me the other day if I had anything sharp they could borrow to cut some string with...so I jokingly told her to help herself to a knife from my back...I was expecting a smile but her jaw dropped. Kinda gave herself away there I suspect - she definitely didn't think it was a joke.

Anyway, let them scratch each others' eyes out, I don't especially care - you can choose your friends, but not your colleagues (or your family for that matter).

OS took a complete battering today.. Yes I did have my porridge, oatmeal, pumpkin seed, raising and skimmed milk brekkie when I started this thread, and I even washed it down with hot water and the juice of a freshly squeezed lemon. However the atmosphere at work got the better of me and I had biscuits & a scone at teatime. At lunchtime the car park was chocca, so rather than lose my space by going home I sinned the ultimate OS sin and bought a readymade sandwich. OMG I hear you cry. Yes, folks I have sinned and in my shame and my wickedness I hide behind SnowyOwl.

Somebody please kick my butt back onto OS. Shoving biccies in my face doesn't actually cheer me up, though perhaps it gives a boost to the 1 or 2 others at work who are even shorter for their weight than me.

What a load of oul sh!te I've just written. I actually wanted to say commiserations to KiwiChick....it's a bummer I know, but you will get there. You know you can do those reverse wotsits, just practice practice practice so that they don't become an issue. You'll be fine next time, you know you are already ready to reapply.

PP - I am so glad to hear that things have picked up again with SIL. I don't know if it'd be appropriate to tell her that you're glad you're still friends and that you really appreciate her, just to get any lingering feelings extinguished.

That's it for now. Am off to college now to study some Anglo-Irish literature.

    See you all tomorrow!

MATH - they're only jealous because they've all got clothes in the wardrobe that they can't fit into!

Kiwi - all the best people take a few times to pass their test. I was fourth time lucky, as were most of my friends!

Just got back from work. Really pleased because two of the teachers have told me that they're taking me out to the pub on Wednesday! It doesn't sound like much, but it's nice to be asked - especially as I don't know anyone in this area, other than those people that I work with. Just a bit different, I suppose!

Sorry to hear KC - keep at it and don't give up - I've failed twice - the 1st was the same as you - the 2nd wrong lane at roundabout (had just split up with ex 2 days before - gave up after that which 15 years later I regret

enjoy the wine and get stuck back in

    Take care
