• morning all. late start this morning, dd is poorly i think, but no idea with what. she is just pale and lethargic. have kept her off school, but there are no other symptoms forthcoming. she's just lay on settee watching tv.
didn't have a very good weekend, seemed to be too much to do and it was sunday night before i knew it. have made up first menu plan for this week to use up some of what is in the freezer, and managed a fantastic shop of £27.34 friday night, whereas i usually spend £50, i wrote a list and stuck to it though, and i think i may still have got too much when it comes to the end of the week, will have to wait and see though.
big big hugs to all who need them,
love
woas.

Morning all

Grey and dank here this morning - not inspiring at all. Hugs to all those who had bad nights again. I actually had a good nights sleep but feel like I need a kick up the backside to get me started......couldn't sleep on Saturday night so ended up chatting on msn to some friends until 3am  Thrown me right out now....

Anyway - one little one all day today, before and afterschoolers too which is great as they amuse the little one after school whilst I get tea ready.

Brekkie - Toast
Lunch - Fruit - must eat more fruit!!
Dinner - Turkey and veg/pasta soup - (if I get off my backside and go and get some turkey and stock out the freezer)

Popped to TKmax yesterday - managed to get a mini muffin tray reduced to £2 and a lovely ring cake mold for £2.99. Will make some choccy muffins later, but will have to do big ones as I couldn't find any little cases yesterday....I know i've seen them somewhere.

Got lots of bills to pay today, it's that time of the month where all the direct debits have gone out and I can see what's left.....need to keep a bit back for shopping as Tax credits have stopped until they've sorted out their c0ck up....will just send DH shopping though in furture - he went on saturday for me, got 2 carrier bags of apples, a bag full of banans, 3 avacados, celery, potatoes and onions for £4 at the market!!! Was all good quality too. He also went to morrisons and had the forethought to use the cash he'd got rather than "switching" it......Gold star for him this week!

Hope you all have a great day.

I like your style Snowy and I would have said the same but sadly one of the cats just woke me up by being sick right through the house icon8.gif

Why do they have to move when being sick

Oh well the steam cleaner will need to come out for the beige carpet icon7.gif

Cos they like to leave a trail for you to walk in when you're half asleep in the morning :D

Talking of which, I am still half asleep (or is that hungover :shhh: ) so anything I say will not make the remotest bit of sense :rotfl:

I'm going to do a Snowy ...
WM will remain out of action until tomorrow. Feeding myself will be as simple as possible. Nothing is getting cleaned today, so there!

... and on that note I'm going to take myself back to bed for the rest of the morning :p;)

Hugs for anyone who needs them, sorry not had chance to read any further than Ed'lass's post as I'm struggling to focus :D

Bye for now

• Morning :o

PP - i think you might need to tell the doctor about how ill you have been. It's not good to feel ill every day. Try to have a quiet day and see if that clears your head.
Posh - good luck to your DH
Jo - try having a relaxing bath - i find this eases my stress levels no end - and if i can get away with it, i'll take a good book and leave DH to wash up
curryqueen - too much wine?? Have a nice easy day too.
Math i think a good chat with Mrs Math will do you the world of good. It's sometimes easy to get in a rut and just assume the other person is happy, and when you talk, a trouble shared is a trouble halved. Mrs Math is probably very stressed herself, and will feel like she is letting you all down.
Pooky it sounds like you have one well trained DH. well done. Mine now spots BOGOFs

I ended up having a really productive day yesterday - got 3 loads through the WM (but did need to use the TD twice so that DH could have clean pants - don't know why he doesn't tell me they are running out sooner)

I had a 2nd excellent nights sleep on the new mattress. Got up at a reasonable time, and i've had a bit of a tidy up, played with the 2 fussy kittens, and cleaned the oven, including storage drawer underneath where DH had dropped an apple pie as he took it out of the oven yesterday. He had tried to clean it up, but when i looked it was a sticky mess.

My plans for the day are to move a book case from the living room to upstairs so we can think about decorating, try to do a bit of ironing.

Breakfast was porridge and fruit, so i'm feeling good. Lunch is likely to be more fruit, or perhaps a portion of HM soup from the freezer, and dinner is stew to use up leftover beef from yesterday - i might even try dumplings as i have suet.
• Morning all,

Also got DS off school today and hes lying on settee, feeling sick, bad head. DD was a nightmare and didn't want to got to pre-school because he was at home so had to drag her kicking & screaming down the road. Great start to the week!!

Nothing much planned for later as did lots over the weekend so will prob just potter about and see to the sick.

Got my appointment this morning for my six monthly Gastroscopy, I know its for my own good but no matter how many I have I still dread them.

Lunch: Soup & roll
Dinner: Chicken curry made with leftovers from yesturday

Anyway hope everyone feels a little better later, take care

Hi Yall, A dark, brooding and miserable day here in the emids (weather is grotty too) LOL

Washing, drying ironing done, DW done, cleaning done, paid2clicks done. Off to aldi once I've logged this post.

Well we spent a quiet evening watching Miss Marple and pointing out all the continuity errors and things that wern't right for the period, from postage stamps, tunes that were not written until years later to pieces of furniture from the next generation which is our favourite pastime. Some one once told me there is a plot and you are supposed to guess the murderer (Boreing);)

We still don't know what else to do that we are not already doing:confused:

Anyway when in doubt go shopping so I'm off to aldi.

B Porridge
L Soup and roll
D Tuna and sweetcorn sour salsa with cheese toasted taccos, Tapioca for pudding with HM jam
S Cereal

PP Hope you're soon feeling better hun (hug) and all the best with the ozzy appointments.
Scuzz You deserved a weekend off, hope it was worth the wait.

Paws Fingers, eyes and toes crossed for hubbys interview.

Those who are having great day I hope it lasts. Those who are having !!!!!! ones I hope they improve or at least go quickly.;)

Icemaiden Poor you, I've had a gastroscopy and I was so nervous that I cried, but knew I'd regret it if i didn't have it - it was okay with sedation but not on my list of the Top Ten Things I Want To Do Again! But afterwards you'll be glad you had it.

P-P Hope the headache gets better! Lots of fluids sounds good, you may be dehydrated, but does sound as if it would be a good idea to see the doctor!

JW Do hope you will feel better today. As another poster said, a relaxing bath before bed sounds a good idea.

Posh Hope your DH's interview goes well!

Everyone with poorly or unhappy children of whatever age ((((HUGS))))

Scuzz A weekend off??? I can't believe it!

Math Been thinking of you hon, hope you are feeling more optimistic. As you always make us laugh, it's easy to forget that you have financial worries because you so rarely mention them. ((((hug))))

Have got 2nd load in WM as DS seems to be running out of clothes - he should really be seeing to his own washing at his age, but he's hardly ever in and i'm here all day!

breakfast - didn't get around to it!

Lunch - was going to be a gammon sandwich (with leftover gammon) but it's so chilly and dreary today it will be nice, warming, lentil and bacon soup.

Dinner - lamb "leg chops" with some sort of spuds and veg! (not feeling inspired yet.)

Have a good day everyone, if at all possible!

ivyleaf xx :)

Really pleased with myself at the mo. :A

Yesterday I made a veg stew in the pressure cooker once it was done I added the remains of aready cooked chicken. Fed the three of us and put two portions in the freezer. Then had a brainwave and did all the dried red kidney beans in the pressure cooker, portioned them and put in freezer and then did the same with the dried chick peas. :D Now have ready cooked pulsed ready to use in soups/stews etc instead of not bothering due to time.

I also last week made a lasagne using a leftover portion of bolognese and a tin of mushroom soup as suggested on here. Tasted delish!!! :T

Need to do more of this type of thing. It is just thinking of something that will work for me.

Walked ds to school with dog and then walked to mums and took dog round the field with dad. Had breakfast at my mums and then walked home so should help me get fitter and save a bit of petrol. :A

Hope everyone has a nice day. :hello:

Morning :hello:

Sorry you're feeling rubbish today P-P, I'm feeling a bit yucky myself but that's mainly self inflicted :o On way back from a concert last night, discovered the best kebab shop EVER near BF's new place in Earls Court, had a lamb shawarma with salad and garlic sauce (really succulent but not greasy at all - yumyum!!!!) and then went to bed on a full stomach

Had a chat with housemate at the w/end. He's no longer hellbent on selling the house ASAP, but I have nonetheless told him that I am going to move out in about a year (Jan-Feb 07). I am determined not to outstay my welcome with the friend who gave me "temporary" accomodation (sp?) nearly 4 years ago :o and I've decided that having a definite "moving out target" will also motivate me to get my bum in gear and do all the things I know I will need to do before leaving. Basically I know that whatever happens in a year (and there are three possibilities - either I will be moving in with BF, or moving into a new flatshare/bedsit, or might possibly be in a position to buy a small 1-bed or studio flat) I'm never likely to have much space, so I have to spend the next year having a serious de-junking exercise! I am the QUEEN of clutter.

The main thing is my mammoth project to scan - and then get rid of - my enormous (850-ish) collection of theatre, opera and concert programmes  Yes, they are ALL from shows I've actually been to! Some I will keep for sentimental reasons or cos they're autographed; some of the rest might sell on ebay, but others are basically worthless. I just dread to think how much they've cost me over the years (except the ones I get for free with freebie press tickets :D)

Anyway.

Opted out of a cinema trip this evening with boyfriend - need to get home and do some cleaning and tidying, sort out a meal plan for the rest of the week, write my monthly opera article for the website I contribute to, possibly do some cooking (though it's not essential - I can get by on meals I've already made until tomorrow) and try to sort out an ISA transfer.

Hugs to all who need them :grouphug:
