I'm getting ready to settle down tonight in me jimjams and watch Miss Marple (I like the new one mind U I like the previous 3 as well!) Mrs MATH and I will prbably have a little heart2heart over a lo-cal carrot cake. She got quite upset this afto and admitted to bottling a lot up, in reality I think she is also getting quite despondent and feels solely responsible for our bleak looking future (she's not of course but it's how you feel innit!)
Oldest MATHLETT wants to do cycling proficiency which costs a tenner and I've had to say no cos I've just paid £40 for swimming and £75 for gymnastics for the three kidz. If any of you watched stars in their eyes last night it was the MATHLETTS gym coach who was on. (Young lad did someone from Coldplay - didn't win) the piece to camera was filmed at my kidz qym club but that's by the by.
It's telling the kidz they can't do all the activities they used to that has brought things to a head and into the open. TBH it may be for the good Mrs MATH and I don't really communicate too much apart from the "nice day at the office dear" kinda stuff, and pretty much plough our own furrows with our own hobbies, interests, it's an easy trap to fall into when you've been married a long time but it ain't that supportive when things go wrong and we need to pull together. This may be something that brings about change for the better.
Our Minister is calling round on Tues evening to give us spiritual support and encouragement so hopefully by Wednesday we should have a better idea of where we are going and what we need to do to get there.
I really do appreciate the support all my fellow Ol'Stylers have offered me. You help so much in ways I could never fully express a thank you doesn't really seem enough.

    Catch yall tomorrow

Good Morning everyone, Rise and Shine!!!

Eeek why am I so cheerful!? Just getting today's thread started. Nowt to report, same old same old here in N.Ireland. It's a work day and a college evening for me. DW and WM will remain out of action until tomorrow. Feeding myself will be as simple as possible. Nothing is getting cleaned today, so there!

    Bye.

  • I like your style Snowy and I would have said the same but sadly one of the cats just woke me up by being sick right through the house icon8.gif

Why do they have to move when being sick

Oh well the steam cleaner will need to come out for the beige carpet icon7.gif
  • Morning

Kept waking up with pains in my head last night and have the worst headache this morning, if it continues, I will have to call my doctor as it doesnt feel right. All my bones are painful too, so could be either the SLE or FMS:confused:

Washload has been done and hung on airer. Toilet cleaned. Our room and DD's are clean and tidy, just bathroom needs a quick clean. DW empty.

Ebay parcels ready to be taken to PO today-cheques will be paid into bank next door at the same time. Visa bill needs to be paid at bank too. OH will also pop into Tescos and grab a few bits as we have some vouchers that need using up. If he spends about £9 they will accept about £4 in vouchers and we need bread x 2, ham, crisps, butter, yogurts, milk x 2, cheese, pickle and some minced lamb-so should be OK. OH is also treating me to my fav coronation chicken baguette:j

Hopefully SIL will be here today and have a mass of ironing for her and a few other jobs:D

Have 4 hospital appointments this week:eek: 2 on wednesday, 1 on thursday and 1 on saturday. So a busy week ahead.

Today Im mainly going to rest and try to get rid of this awful headache and drink loads of fluids. OH will run the above errands then crack on with his OU course.

    Breakie:Cereal & OJ
    Lunch:Coronation Chicken Baguette
Dinner: HM Lasagna (making a huge one to freeze some portions) & HM Chips

Will catch up later. Have a good day everyone.

    PP

    Morning Everyone

I'm back at work after having my first weekend off since Christmas. Was out training yesterday, but didn't do very well. It's now less than 3 weeks to the marathon.

Mum made some Seville orange marmalade yesterday and is making batch two today.

Not got much planned except work really.

    Hope everyone's ok

  • Ow! :( So sorry to hear you're having such a lot of pain at the moment, PP. Hopefully you'll be able to get it under control very soon. I can't believe you've done all that housework and its not even 7am! I've been up since ten to six and all I've done is shiver a lot and made a cup of tea! :)

Can't put the WM on until all the baths have been had .. but I shall haul myself into the kitchen and get my friend the BM fired up, in a moment.

You've reminded me that I need to get three Ebay items parcelled up and check whether a cheque has cleared.

Other than that, its "doing the money" day today .. so if you hear muttering coming from this corner later on - its just me trying to work out which receipt relates to which day and check 'em all off against the bank statement! Hopefully, without too much  :D

Once that is done and disaster has (hopefully) once again been averted, I might get the chance to do some work out in the garden - or what used to be a garden, before the dogs started using it for a racetrack. I planted a little P-Willow tree last year, it was only a baby. I can still see it, but it looks remarkably dead. :( I shall have to investigate further but I fear that the chemical warfare waged by the dogs leg-lifting activities might have resulted in its early demise. Hope not!

Oh, I'd better make sure that hubby has his best bib and tucker pressed and ready for tomorrow. He has an interview for an IT Manager post. Been out of work for nearly three years - so everybody keep their fingers crossed for us! :D

[Edited because the filters don't like the P word that describes a cat, even when its used in conjunction with "Willow" as the name of a tree! Who knew! LOL]
:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:

    Morning All

PP: Hope you feel better, dont hesitate to call the Dr out if you need to.
Hugs to everybody who needs them

Off to work today, feel utterly exhausted due to DD waking up so many times I lost count last night. Got a team building day today, which is going to make it hard to stay awake plus it on the other side of Liverpool so I have to leave half an hour early. Also got 2 ebay parcels to post if I make it to a Post Office. Got Slimming World tonight so I have a treat tea which will be Toad in the Hole. Nappies are on the airer as is DD bedding that I changed yesterday, sis is working away at the moment so the washing all in her room and it looks like a laundry.

    Have a good day everyone

    Morning everyone.

Just a few jobs needing doing today. One load of clothes washing and the bed covers. And also a quick tidy and hoover.

Dragged out a food jar I got ages ago that I had never used as I was hoping to take porridge to work this morning for breakfast. So last night I tested it with some hot water to make sure it kept things hot and it seemed fine so porridge it is and I might mash a banana into it.

Well just another boring day at work today and I better go and get ready.

    Have a good day.

Morning, sorry to hear you arent well PP, im not feeling too hot myself today if im honest. I tried to get an early night last night but just couldnt fall asleep, had a massive headache come on and then my biggest panic attack yet. I ended up shouting for the boyf because I really felt awful. Finally ended up getting off to sleep at 3am and now im exhausted, Boyf wants me to take the day off and go the doctors but I really cant take time off this week. It seems that going to bed straight after being busy (was ironing and listening to music etc) is not a good thing. Might start spending from 9pm until bedtime on the sofa relaxing and chilling out so when I do go to bed im a bit more chilled out.

So - I think ill just try and take it easy at work today and aim to get an early night tonight. Hm Soup and bread for lunch and a hm muffin for breakfast. Dinner will be left to the boyf to sort as I really need to get an early night!

PoshPaws: Good luck to Mr PoshPaws, will keep my fingers crossed for you.

    Have a good day all!

    Good morning

P-P - hope you are ok
PP - hope DHs interview goes well
(just realised you both have the same initials, hence the hyphen to distinguish Penny-Pincher from PoshPaws!)

I am up early - not like me to have problems sleeping, is it? But I have a rotten cold so breathing isn't easy. Nothing serious, I know, but just a nuisance.

Washing done, but not much else yet. I usually wait until DH goes to work (he leaves at 7am) before starting housework, and today I thought I would come on here & say hello first rather than later.

Dinner today: HM soup - I have a batch in the freezer, so no work involved. Today is a no dishwasher day! Also, I have my keep fit group tonight, so a light dinner will suit me just fine. I have noticed that Monday evening is not a great time to get weighed - it's too close to the weekend & any dinners out seem to register themselves far too well on the scales!!!!!!
