Oi You!! Thought you had work to be doing!!! :rotfl: Consider yourself very gently nudged rather than kicked!!I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle0 -

Try pollen capsules. My son used them last year as I'd got to the point where I'd try anything to give him some quality of life in the summer. The idea is that it builds up your immunity [bee keepers don't get hayfever]. It certainly worked for my son.

I also heard a prog on R4 about the benefits of honey/pollen that said it's more effective if you eat locally produced honey.0 -
Afternoon!! Happy Birthday Arkonite!! Have a lovely day - if that's possible on a day that includes a trip to the dentist _pale_
Hi PoshPaws - welcome to OS!
Hmm, what's to tell?? Not a lot really, being very lazy AGAIN today. Sitting at my desk trying to think about getting some work done, and what do I find myself doing?? Yup = checking up on you lot!! Although that said, I have cleared off my desk this morning. It was absolutely covered in paper - now it's got a neat little pile of plastic wallets, each labelled with whatever they contain. So basically all I did was collate the !!!!!!!!!
Not a lot planned for the weekend - we finally agreed yesterday that we wouldnt go to mum and dad's for the weekend. Mum's out of hospital at the moment and is needing to sleep in what is usually our room, so it would have been too much stress and upheaval for her and too much extra work for dad. That and the fact that it would have been the 3rd weekend on the trot I'd been down , and the 8th (!) weekend in a row we hadnt spent at home or at least at home without visitors!! Hopefully going to use the time to catch up on some sleep, and some housework - in that order!! At least I've managed to keep on top of the washing since we've been working from home.
Anyone watching the Superbowl on Sunday night?? DH has been going on about wanting to, but we dont get the sports channels in our package anymore (MSE Cost cutting exercise no 1!!). Rang Sky up and you need to upgrade your package for a min of a month, but it'll only cost £12 on top of what we normally pay to have it for that time. They'll implement it straight away, and cancel it straight away when you ring to say you want rid, so might let him have it. Got to have SOME treats in life afterall!!
Ok - must work. Have fun all. Hugs to all in need.
PS - Lillibet, hope whoever mentioned psychically linked OS babes is wrong - dont want Fidget getting ideas about keeping me awake before he's even born!! :rotfl:I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. Evening everyone,
Well since o/h has been away for two days and I have had the car for once, DD and I have been doing some well earned retail therapy. Managed to get the paint for the dining room and some lovely accessories to match, you know the stuff, curtains, lamp shade etc....
I was going out tomorrow night to an evening of Clairvoyance with my sister but it has been cancelled, some thing to do with the venue roofso big disapointment all round. Funny how it wasn't predicted :rotfl:
Anyway haven't made anything for dinner yet so better get cracking, spag bol me thinks with garlic bread, will have to portion some sauce out for O/H as he isn't getting home till about 9ish ( the joys of been self employed ) and by which time hopefully the kids will be in bed so will spend a bit of time together
Will catch up later, have a nice evening

Am now covered with embarrassment, having used the old phrase "Worse things happen at sea" in my earlier post. At the time, I didn't know about the ferry that had gone down in the Red Sea. Just wanted to explain, in case anyone thought i was trying to be funny about something so awful.
Note to self - remember that trying to make scrambled egg on toast at same time as emptying TD results in omelette on charcoal
Have decided dinner is going to be fried chicken, to the delight of DS - i think he's expecting something like KFC - I think not!
Hope this post goes through - last time I tried, I crossed with Icemaiden!0 -
Well I've just written a whole post about my day, pressed a wrong button somewhere and lost the lot. Needless to say I am not writing it all again. I had a good day, I am shattered, am not cooking tea and we are taking the kids to McD's for a rare treat for them using the money off vouchersOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Evening all.
A bit of a late post today. Computer has been playing up and switching itself off
Been and done weekly food shopping today. Was at Lidl, Morrison and Aldi. Total spend of £23.41. Bit more than I expected but I did get some stuff that will last 2 weeks. Got a food chopper in Lidl for £1.19. Will give it a try on Sunday with some onions. Also in Lidl they were giving away, yes you heard me right giving away boxes of chocs and biscuits. It looked like Christmas stock they were trying to get rid of but most of its well dated. Well what can you do in that situation but take what you can!! Best bit is its all stuff that no one in the house likes. Marzipan chocs and amaretto biscuits. All the kinda stuff I love! He he!!
Was treated to my lunch out with by my mum. I had lentil and ham soup and a cheese and onion panani. Lovely. My mum had also got me a microwavable dish that apparantly doesn't stain when cooking soup, beans and the like. Cost about a fiver which is a bit much for one dish but I wasn't buying. She had also got me a potato bag. So will give that a try and see if it keep potatoes any longer.
Burger makers have been mentioned a few times today and I got one for my birthday in September and hasn't been used yet but am going to give it a go this week and see how they turn out.
Only plans for this evening is to cosy up and watch some telly (hopefully win the euro millions)!! First time I have ever bought lottery ticket!
Have a good night everyone.0
