Haven't had time to read all the messages yet - but thanks to Math for the info. Haven't read that yet, either, but I'll get around to it later!
Just wanted to say that, between us, DH and I made some Lemon Curd, this afternoon. The recipe came from UK TV Food - we saw it being done yesterday, when we were on strike. So, this afternoon, there we were grating and squeezing, mixing and stirring .. and the result is exactly what they predicted. One jar of Lemon Curd - absolutely fabulous.
If I could have got my head into the saucepan to lick the leftovers, I would have.
So, I recommend their recipe to you - it was easy peasy to do, and if you can get the lemons and butter cheaply, it has just got to work out more economical than shop bought. I reckon you'd have to pay about £2-£3 to get a jar that tastes anything like this home made one.:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -

Evening
Hope your all well.
Not too much done here as Ive been resting up and OH has spent the best part of today in office completing his 2nd OU exam.
OH managed to send the 11 ebay parcels needing to go, cost £21.80:eek: but made some money on postage so nothing lost:D Paid £54 into bank for more sales on ebay and DD owed us £25, so she withdrew that and paid into our savings account.
My dd has given up her pocket money for the new puppy mag subscription and they have taken £56 off my credit card over the past week and have received 2 lots of 3 issueshave emailed them and asked whats going on, but if I have heard nothing by monday, I will call my CC up as authorisation for this amount was granted and will get a refund. Really not happy about this, but DD wants it so much and she gets freebie gifts if taken on a subscription:mad:
Made the carrot cake when oven was on earlier and have made some cream cheese icing to put over it in the morning. Pizza bases are done and will be cooked up with the quiche tomorrow. Using up all left over ingredients for the quiche and will be veggie-red pepper, onion, peas and cheese. Not even sure if this party is going ahead as no one was in their house today and they were supposed to be cleaning the house as its disgusting and would reflect badly on my nephew. Will take a bottle of water (tap..lol) with me so I dont have to drink from their glasses.....yes...it really is that bad!!!! How can people invite other people round when there house is soooooooo dirty? Oh well.....families!! I am really NOT looking forward to it. Bargain Rzl-If you here sirens tomorrow evening, it will probably be at OH's family home, just round the corner......watch this space...LOL. If it dont go ahead, maybe you can come round for a coffee and slice of HM carrot cake...LOL.
Just about to settle down and watch Lost episode 13 and 14 has just finished DL and needs converting to a dvd.
Dinner was scrummy, and in end OH had spicy chicken (in freezer and needed using up-all gone now), DD had the last of the chicken dippers and I had HM fishcakes which needed using up. All with HM chips (fried twice) and peas. Bread and butter. Totally delish.
Everyone have a nice evening and see you all in the morning.

Hope everyone is okay today. I've been home all day, taking it easy and trying to catch up with some bits of housework. DS has been an angel today, and even helped me load the WM (DS only 2 and 1/2):) .
Had a look in the kitchen cupboard and decided to use up two tins of Campbells meatballs in gravy(OH says he does not like them). I washed all of the gravy off, put them in a pan, with some cooked onions, garlic, tinned tomatoes, tomato sauce, bit of basil and chilli, and cooked it all up for about 30 mins, and served it with pasta. I finished off by using up two over ripe bananas, and made a banana chocolate custard. OH ate my meal, after I told him they were Swedish meatballs from the freezer!:D
I had my tesco vouchers for £4 today, so will be planning my shopping for tomorrow. Just done my Paid to clicks, and have decided to put some books on Ebay tonight. Have a good weekend all.

Not read through the thread as my eyesight isn't up to it today as I'm so tired BUT I have ebay listings that need to be uploaded ASAP so I just popped in here while I wait for Turbolister to update again!
Nothing happening here today as it's the last day of half-term, I'm worn out (don't know why though) and OH has gone away AGAIN for the weekend to a friends down near London. DD and I started to paint her doll's house again today - only did one coat of red on the exterior and then we'll do another coat tomorrow morning. Maybe we'll get around to doing the interior on Sunday but we'll see. It's not looking as good as I thought it would, but that could be because it really does need another coat of paint.
Had a bad day since OH left (2pm) - discovered the wallpaper for the dolls house was at the back of the understairs cupboard so I had to drag all sorts out to reach it but I did find the non-slip matting for our new rug  Opening a tin of paint (we're using proper emulsion for the dolls house as it was on clearance for 20p fpr 1 litre in B&Q last April) and I slipped with the screwdriver taking a small chunk out of the fleshy base of my thumb/palm  Ended up splitting my lip slightly from biting it so hard so I wouldn't swear infront of DD  I've had very little patients for DD by this point and ended up shouting at her so loudly (she had ignored me telling her to leave something alone 3 times already, each time I was progressively louder!) that I hurt my throat
Then when I was washing the dishes while waiting for DD's tea to cook I dropped a mug and managed to smash a sideplate with it, not just a chunk out the side, but actually into pieces but the mug was fine
Somehow I don't think I should be on the computer as I'm waiting for that to go *bang* as well :rotfl:
Oh well, Turbolister is up to date, time to get DD's clothing etc uploaded before I forget again. I think I'll just keep listing stuff everytime I get 10 items typed up no matter what time/day it is. Royal Mail are changing the postage charges in April and I want this house free of smaller clutter by thenCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Tootles - So sorry to hear that you've not managed to go on your trip to Paris. However, if you're feeling that rough, the best thing to do is to be wrapped up warm and given plenty of TLC from your DH ((((hugs))))
DH came back last night from France, so house is back to normal
Very grey here this morning, I did think it was snowing for a couple of mins, then realised it was sawdust swirling around!
Slept from 22:00 until 06:00 fairly erratically, cat kept coming in. Woke up with nasty tonsils again, but painkillers have now kicked in, so we're getting there!
Well, we shall be visiting Worcester tomorrow, so I shall wave at Thriftlady and TapLady. DD has her mumps vaccine tomorrow, so it shall be out for pizza afterwards to cheer her up!
B - Herbal tea
S - Blueberry muffins (I'm sure there's at least 1 left!)
L - Leftover pork / butterbean casserole
D - Dunno, mealplanner is on wall .. but DH is cooking.
.... out of curiousity, DH put washing in WM last night .... do you think he will ever manage to remember it is in there all by himself and then do something with it?? Or will I be the normal an** retentive person, and not manage to last longer than an hour before I go and hang it out??!?!?
I shall be in Worcester tomorrow visiting the Snoozelen with work, possible Mcdonalds afterwards will keep my eye open for a safety pin-wearing person waving at me    (I'll have to wear my pin too  )Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Thank you to everyone for your good wishes, I have spent most of the day in bed, just come down for a while to let the bed air, not sure if I am running a temperature, keep going hot and cold, not sure if it the cystitis or sometihng else as well, I cannot believe that I have picked something else up as well. I am usually so healthy, I hope its not the fibromyalgia rearing its head again, although it doesn't feel like it.
OH went to the Docs for me this morning, I have to ring on Monday to speak to the Doc about a letter for the insurance company.....when he came back he had bought me a box of my favourite chocs....lovely man.....the trip was to celebrate ourwedding anniversary on Tuesday...... we will not be taking te trip later in the year, we had another couple of trips booked, but we have cancelled both of them, I just do not feel comfortable going away and until they sort things out we are staying in the UK. We had decided that this would be the last year we travel abroad for our holidays, so from now on its going to be UK trips.......
I have started the medication, still feeling very rough, hopefully will be better by Monday.......a week of os to look forward to, had to shop last week for March, so will have to make the shopping last over 3 days I had not expected to be here.

Hello and good morning everyone! And especially for rchddap1
***!!HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU RCHDDAP1!!***
Have a fabulous day.
It's Saturday - whoopee!! Don't have to go to work. I desperately need a lie in but can't blimmin' sleep! I know, I should turn the record over as this is always my opening paragraph if I'm the one to start the daily thread. Ho hum...
Well, it's a bit early for anything OS in my house. I did get a bit of a head start on Thursday evening when I did a couple of loads of washing. That is all completely dry and ready to be put away. I'm unfortunately one of those people who doesn't notice untidyness even when walking around it or climbing over it, so I suspect that when I go downstairs and pretend I am looking at my house as if I were a visitor I will be disgusted with myself.
It was mid-term this week, so no college. And have I done my homework or any extra study...well no of course not!!! Will do some today at some point.
Later on I'll go for a nice long walk somewhere, tire myself out a bit and hopefully get a proper unbroken kip tonight.
Happy Saturdays everyone.

'Morning Snowy Owl, morning everyone
Just like you snowy owl, my body clock doesn't know it's not a weekday  ... but it is lovely knowing that it is the weekend so I can lie in bed reading for a while before getting up and meandering through Old Style.
DD1 is coming home for the weekend (now living in student digs and has to top up on good food now and again!). So it will be a roast this weekend - tomorrow rather and then we are off on a spending spree in Primark. DD2 and I are going away for a week and stocking up teeshirts. We'll drag DD1 with us (along with Dad who will moan about shopping the whole time so we'll park him in a corner :rotfl:).
This morning it is the usual jaunt to the shops for fruit and veggies.
See you later!Enjoying an MSE OS life0
