    Hi all

    Happy Birthday RCHDDAP1!

We went out last night to see Jimmy Carr (the comedian) live. He was quite good, but OH and my best friend's husband (who we went with) were a little disappointed as some of his jokes were the same as when they went to see him this time last year............... Anyway, we had a lovely curry before we got to the theatre, so I suppose it was worth it. OH made bacon sarnies this morning for us all, and our friends left at 9.15am. She's been buying things from auction for their new house so had to go and pick the purchases up!

I've logged onto Pigsback for the first time, and I'm now hooked! Not in buying things, though I did just buy a CD from CD Wow through them.

We'll be wandering into the little town later to get a paper and have a mooch! I look forward to it.

    breakfast - bacon sarnie
    lunch - probably soup
supper - spag bol with some salad

Have a good day all

    ***!!HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU RCHDDAP1!!***

Pleased to report I feel a little better this morning, but do know I am not 'right' started taking the antibiotics yesterday, they are slow release so only have to take 2 a day with food.

Bright sunny morning here in the Midlands, so I staggered down and put the towels in the wahser, usually do them overnight, but did not have the strength last night..... sheets will do in tonight though.

OH has gone to the allotment, left me with a tray of tea making equipment, biccy's etc so I guess I will not starve till he gets back.

Living in the sunny? Midlands, where the pork pies come from:

saving for a trip to Florida and NYC Spring 2008

    Hello,
13_10_10.gifRCHDDAP1. Hope you enjoy your special day. Lovely to hear from you Queenie. I have missed your posts. DH arrived home today a day earlier so tea wasn't as easy as I had planned. ;) I made chicken stew & veggies & a caramel self saucing pudding with icecream. Had plenty to freeze for two meals for another time.

I am watching a Agatha Christie movie that DD taped for me tonight. Not much on the telly. We have just finished playing a board game in which I got well and truly thrashed. I think they were cheating. Didn't go to Mass tonight but will go in the morning. Few showers here today but not much really. Enough to give the grass a bit of a drink.

Have any of you tasted macadamia nuts? I got a huge bag (free) and they are the best nuts. You have to crack them with a hammer but they taste so nice. I am quite a piggy with them. Hope you all have a great day.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Happy Birthday RDCHAP (Well that's how I always say it to myself in my head!)

A sunny blustery day here up north It is a good 'drying day' as my mum would say. I should hang some washing out I suppose so as not to waste it.

Later today I will drag DS away from his PS2 to come with me to a local town where there is a Cats Protection League jumble sale on, just to have a look at whether or not it iis worth going to them. There is a good charity shop nearby as well so I will nip in for a look, much to DS's disgust I expect.

Don't know what I am making for dinner or tea yet. I really fancy lasagne but I have no mince. I do, however have lots of chicken so I should use that up first I suppose.

I need to register with MATH's paid2clicks as well, and I need to do a rekky of all my finances as I haven't done this in a week or two. I know I'm not spending madly but I like to know where I am IYKWIM.

Right, toast (HM bread) & HM jam devoured, cup of tea drained, off I go to do battle with the cat women. Have a good day all.

JW - good to see you back, I though you had gone off us all!

Im making rice puddin gin my sc for the first time today, Im really excited about it and obviously easily pleased :o

After that we are going to 'live off the land' as I like to call it, which is basically using what we have left at the back of the cupboards etc, only 4 days until payday, then my os really kicks in as Ive planned my meals down to the last mouthful. I actaully cant wait to be more organised and cook more.

Thanks everyone for your help and have a fantastic weekend.

Rice pudding gin......hmmmmm...as alchopops go - I'm not sure it's going to be a "best seller" :rotfl:

Go Easy on the Macadamia nuts! I made my self ill (gall stones problem) years ago when I pigged out on a [STRIKE]whole[/STRIKE] bag of them the first time I discovered them. They were soooo delish - I do still have them occasionally but in moderation (hard to do!)

So pleased to see you back Queenie! I'm glad that you've been happily busy and not ill or anything!

Major drama here last night - someone tried to break the back door while I was sitting here on the computer! Had the police come out (dialled 999!) and then the CSI came this morning but couldn't find anything  Spent last night with all the windowsills and also the doorways downstairs baracaded with items that would make a hell of a noise if someone broke in  Even slept with both the mobile and home phones (cordless thankfully!) next to the bed, DD in the bed with me and a bl**dy big kitchen knife just under the edge of the mattress. If ANYONE had gotten in they would not have gotten back out under their own power more likey in an Ambulance . Anyway, as a result I had a really bad nights sleep and everytime I went the bathroom I took the phones and knife with me ;) I also left most of the lights in the house on but I don't care - I felt slightly safer but OH has said he's coming home today instead of tomorrow now :D

The upside of all this is, apart from the paperwork still being in our bedroom, the entire house is now tidy and I'm on my second lot of washing for today. At this rate I'll have all the paperwork AND housework done by the end of the day. I'm just trying to keep busy as whenever I stop and have a moment to think I get the shakes and get VERY jumpy. I'll be fine though....I always am

Morning all :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY RCHDDAP1 :bdaycake:

I've been very OS this morning, I had a lyin (how do you spell it, I'm never sure???) until 8am then munch came to find me. 2 x loads of washing freshened and hung out on the line and another load in WM...changed munch's bed last night so sheets to wash as well. just looked up to see my neighbours car (which is parked outside my house/window) and its wet!!! oh no its raining....hold on a sec my neighbour has just started washing it :rotfl: :rotfl: DW is on, worktops cleaned, oven and grill cleaned!!! and kitchen floor washed. Made a loaf last night so BM is having a break lol.

Done some of my clicks. DH left about an hour ago he is giggin all day (you'll notice this will be a recurring theme  ) he is in kings lynn today and will be back early hours tomorrow. Plan today is to pop in to see my mum (maybe see if she would like to have munch for an hour or so while I come home and attack the dinning room...lol yes its still not done!!!) I also might pop over to see my best friend and her family later this arvo.

Have a lovely day everyone. ;)

S - Gingerbread biscuits and left over tub of popcorn
L - dunno maybe cheese and coleslaw sandwiches as I didn't have them yesterday.

OMG Nicki I hope you are okay, it was probably just an opportunist burglar though and finding out you were there ran off in a hurry. At least your DH will be home tonight.

~As I am feeling poo, all I can say is thank god for the internet. I have done this weeks shopping, all heavy and bulky items and got a 1000 extra clubcard points and bought DS's new school shirts as he is growing out of his (5 for £11.99) and 10% discount :D

Nicki, how terrifying  Hope it doesn't happen again.

Not doing anything much today.Should be getting lunch now.Think we'll have pitta breads with cold meat,home-sprouted bean sprouts, carrot sticks, cheese and whatever else is lurking in the fridge.

Supper will be either Cornish pasties or a big meat pie and veg, followed by apple crumble.

Might make a Norfolk vinegar cake later as someone reminded me of it on another thread.
