manic - my DS2 is the same age as yours - and he woke at 3.41am. I don't think I went back to sleep properly - between his wriggling and need to sleep on top of me (they are SOOOO HOT, aren't they
) but it was still 7 before I let everyone get up (except Mr TM - he's just surfaced)
Ok - I've surfed and picked up lots of recipes for soups etc. Still haven't got anything done - apart from shower and dressed. Must go and put chicken in SC, tuen WM on and put some fruity bread in BM. I can see this baking day being very stressful/messy as both boys want to help
Just wanted to say hope it all goes/went well for you today PP. Didn't mean to ignore you earlier, just hadn't read the posts properlyI know you hve an awful lot to put up with and I just hope they can do something positive about it soon.
Ok - kitchen here I come.......0 -
Morning all
Snowing here too - has been all morning - not laying at the moment. DH said the company has been put on a weather warning (insurance risk) for the heaviest snow in 10 years......supposed to be happening in the next 5 days.....Hope so - I actually managed to by some sledges the other day - the girls will be pleased.
Not working today other than school runs, which is a good job as I'm still full of cold and yesterdays busy day wiped me out completely. I've spent most of the morning trying to avoid sitting in the pc chair with a duvet wrapped round me......I did quite well to last this long I think!
Kitchen floor washed (trying to do it every other day to make it easier)WM on 3rd load, TD on (bedding) DW needs emptying (will wait until DD's come home - it's part of their chores) I've ironed loads of bits for ebay, photographed them, writen some brief discriptions and weighed everything....just need to sit and list it all now......I don't get on with the turbo listing thingy - so will battle through the other way. Not sold on there for a year now so I bet it's all changed anyway. Over 15 months of selling on there last year I made £1500.....I was more than happy, but then you run out of things to sell lol
Brekkie - Toast and cereal
Lunch - Pepperoni and cheese wraps all round.
Dinner - Spag Bol - might make a garlicky, cheesy tear and share bread thing to go with it too.
Had a letter through today to say my "regular saver" account has matured, it was only for a year but I've managed to save £370, they'll whack the interest on next week. I managed to save £575 from DH's over time last month and this month as we've rejigged his loan, we'll have another £280 + over time at approx £400....We're planning on paying of the Council Tax in full and the final payment on a credit card that's just about to run out of 0% interest. We've got other cards to pay off but they're all on long term 0% so it seems worth cutting the monthly bill by the £110 that the Council Tax would cost us and using that as overpayments on the cards.
Did a tesco wine order last night too - saw they had a 20% off all wines and found a code on the discounts/codes thread that was £15 off a £50 spend. they're offering free delivery too. Paid for it using DH's egg card which is £12 in credit....therefore only spending £34 odd on 24 bottles of wine.... It's wine we both normally drink and at £1.40 odd a bottle - I'm more than happy!
Sorry it's such a long one today - hope you all enjoy the snow if you get it!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Well I've just done the banking, moved all the money into their relevant pots etc etc and been through the budget. I feel better now thats done, I don't know why but there just seems to be enough money in the account even though there should be less, £80 seems to have been spare from last month with no real reason why and nothing waiting to go through.
It actually looks really good, we have £127 spare this month after all bills etc unfortunately that and more has had to go towards the car as its cost us £500 + over the last week. I've worked out that providing the last ebay buyer pays up I'll have made £48.69 after tithe and expenses so that will go into my ing holiday saving account although it may have to come out again shortly after to help fund DH's Uganda trip.
Also hoping to be sucessful in this months grocery challenge and save fingers crossed up to £40, this is meant to be going towards paying off British Gas but again may have to be used towards DH's plane tickets, will have to wait and see what happens. At this rate I'll be one of the first to have my 05/06 tax return in so that I can reclaim my overpaid tax...money money money
Now going to get a bath and lunch and then tidy for a bit and bake. Take care everyone.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -

Not really snow in my part of Kent, more like frozen rain. But have just looked at the met office website they've said mabe snow tonight and tomorrow morning. I hope I don't have to dig my car out at 5.30am to get to work. At least the met haven't got any severe weather warnings yet. :undecided I finish work at 11pm tonight so I hope I don't have to dig to get home either :wall:
Get paid in a week and I still have some money left in my bank account. YAY! Someone is off sick at work so I've got loads of overtime coming up. Going straight into my savings account. My companies shares have gone up a bit in price over the past couple of days. Glad I brought some in the share save scheme.
Have a busy weekend ahead. Opera tomorrow night, then a tutorial all day Sat and a curry in the evening. Working Sunday as well, but at least that is time and a half. I'm suppost to fit in some studying at some point as well.
Got £40 worth of arcadia vouchers in the post this morning from Pigsback. Also got a welcome letter from totesport. Now my dad wants to know why I am gambling. It was a free bet honest dad. He'd kill me if he knew I was matched betting. :A
Have a nice weekend everyone. :T0 -
Hello to everyone!
I'm so impressed by everyone's organisation - you all seem to whizz through all the chores that I bumble about with in between doing things like looking after the children and working - how do you all manage it?
Worked late last night, so am pleased that I've managed to get this far today - all children packed off to school with the correct things (I hope!) and all have remembered to take their lunches today! Have managed to get the slow cooked full of bolognese ingredients, what a fantastic invention, why have I never used one before? Done one wash load and only have about another hundred to go, need to empty dishwasher and then go and clean out guinea pigs and rabbit. Would normally take dog out for a walk, but he put his nose out of the door and decided it's too cold :rotfl:
Thanks to all of you who mentioned crochet - haven't done this for years, my mum showed me how when I was little, will have to nip to the local charity shop and find a hook, might also try some knitting - haven't done any of that for years either. Will get the bits ready for the weekend, and can then show dd's how it's done!
Hope everyone has a lovely day, and doesn't have to spend too long out in the cold.GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Good afternoon,
Well, not a busy day so far, but the morning seems to have flown by!!!! The DW is on at the moment, and i have put the bins out and swept the kitchen floor, but thats about it so far. I have 2 childminding children here, but tomorrow i have the day off, so really pleased about that, means i can do something with my two, not sure what yet, will see what they want to do!!!!
We are all jealous that everyone else seems to have snow, as we havnt got any down here, it doesnt get this far SW unless its really bad everywhere else. Maybe at the weekend. Would be nice to have it now, while its half term, we could all enjoy it then!!!! Mind you, DS has football practice outside later, so maybe if it snows after that, it would be perfect!!!!!
Should really do something, must put the BM on, empty the dishwasher and do some cleaning, need a kick up the whatsit to get me motivated i think!!!!!
PP and Powie, hope all goes well at the hospital,
Tootles and Joannasmum, hope you both feel better soon,
Welcome Fruggleaussie, hope you enjoy it here!!!!

Hiya everybody................I'm back
Had a lovely time up north. My little grandson was adorable. He turned 11 month's old while I was up there. It was soooo hot. It's cooled down here a bit now so much more enjoyable. Sorry to hear everybody is freezing atm. Hee Hee.
Our house is still under contract. The people want to extend for another two weeks. Obviously they must be having trouble getting finance. Poo. I will call the real estate up next week to see if I can find out exactly where they are at. Bit of a pain really, do I start to pack or not.
Hope you all have a nice day. I'm off for a bit of a surf and then hit the sack. I've got quite a bit to do tomorrow. Bye for now.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Hi Yall,
It's was snowing here as well PP, it was great to walk back in the snow our land looked like a Christmas card and there was even a little robin in the hedge. (how cute is that?)LOL started to rain now tho.
Powie69 (hugs) GWS:cool:
Excuse me while I pop back to yesterdays daily thread to catch up on some gossip I've obviously missed.....
Back Now!;) WOW Bargain Rzl your life's like a re-run of Peyton Place. (oops!:o )Not that I'm anywhere near old enough to remember such things of course) (TM - shut up!:p) Will this influx of new rellies affect your Christmas budget for 2006? LOL Better start saving now. Actually I've just read your later post all about your paid2click frenzy...I think you've got it covered girl. WTG:j
Freyaluck - I'll empty my inbox (sorry) as soon as I've posted this and will PM you.
Got most of my morning jobs done. Washing, Ironing, downstairs dusting, cleaned kitchen, paid2clicks.
This afternoon I'm going to vax all my downstairs carpets if I can find all the shampooing attachments. LOL I thought this morning when I was vaccing that the Ol beast was loosing a bit of suction so after some investigation I found the motor filter a bit gunked up. I've never replaced it in 15 years so I guess it's due a change. LOL I've fashioned a new one from an off-cut of cooker hood filter and now the thing is almost ripping me carpets off the gripper rods. If I never post again you'll know I've been sucked down the poles myself and can't get out of the hoover bag.
Mrs MATH is out for dinner tonight and I'm really having to fight the urge not to cook something quick and junky for me and the kidz (I know it should be the kidz and I but it always sounds so pretentious:D )
Tell me what to do:
a: Vegetable stir fry, noodles and black bean sauce
or
b: Oven chip and grated cheese cobs.
Mrs MATH has her interview date through, Tuesday 7th March. I think it's one of those selection thingies where they put you in teams in the middle of a lake with a couple of oil drums, 5 yards of lurex and a pair of sling-backs. Working as a team you then have to make a useable raft and a cocktail outfit. LOL
I think Mrs MATH is a bit nervous. She'd be ok at raft building but she can't sew for toffee.:rotfl:
Well this won't get me carpets clean. Catch ya later.
Luv MATH x
