Morning all,
Running a bit late this morning and haven't yet had chance to catch up on yesturdays thread but hopefully will do that a bit later if I can.
Loads of ironing to do as didn't do it yesturday due to my mum visiting but its still rather cold and damp outside so no washing will get done( not that I'm complaining)
Need to carry on sorting the kitchen so that O/H can start the painting in there this weekend, so far have washed all the walls and paintwork down and pulled up the lino so its looking abit bare.
Anyway kids need their breakie so will catch up later
Hope everyones okay

Morning all :hello:
It's snowing here too :j
And I'm only about 220 miles from PPIt's lying on the garden and car but not on the road so I don't know whether the boys will get to play out in it.
So, it's a good job Mr TM got ours and mum's gardens done this past few days. Otherwise we'd have to wait until the Easter hols before he would venture forth again. (I wish I could get away with doing the housework so 'regularly' :rotfl:)
Today may well be a major baking and cooking day. I have an organic chicken for tea (reduced from Morrisons) so will do the full roast dinner. Have some crumble mix already madein the fridge and I spied a bag of rhubarb in the freezer, so that will be some more 'used up'. Have lots of veg I want to make various soups with - including some celeriac so will look for that recipe in a mo. Will have to label my base sauce, so I don't confuse it with the carrot soup I intend to makeCakes - may make lots of those too - yum. And I found a pack of jumbo oats in my cupboard clear out yesterday - bought specifically to make flapjacks, so I' ll make some of those too. Blimey - my kitchen will be heaving
I have at least 3 loads of ironing to do and the WM will need to go on later so that's even moreWill do that tonight during Hotel Babylon (Max Beesley -)
Oh - and anyone learning to crochet - I found a teacher. I was googling trying to find local courses and I came across an email address - so I contacted this lady. She's only doing knitting courses in the near future, but she will come to my house and teach me for £5 p.hr. I reckon a couple of hours will have me mastering most of what I will need and at that price I can always get another lesson. It would cost me more than that in fuel to visit my aunt (and mum's admitted she (aunt) knits and talks about her mother crocheting, so not sure if aunt actually does it well) She lives in Blackburn, so any of you local OSers -if you need crochet lessons, give me a pm.
Ok, off for a surf.
Powie- good luck with your op (((hugs)))

SnowyOwl - Henry looked like a gorgeous cat - that is how Becky stretches we got her from the CPL 6 yrs ago as a Christmas present for me she is the most gentlest loving cat ever (well in my eyes) - I will put Lucky (she is 9yo) on in the next couple of days - we found her under a car in the main street 9yrs ago on Bonfire night - she was a B***er to catch (she came from a ferral litter which lived behind shops about 200 yards away but we couldnt put her back) the CPL wouldnt take her - she was wild for the first 4-5 yrs it is only in the last couple of years that she allows you to clap her , Smokey is the oldest lady - she is 12yrs - still very spritely she is grey and white and loves lying on you in bed (that is of course Becky isnt there)
No major plans for today - clean out drawers from sideboard in the hall - tidy up kitchen, put DW on later - may make some biscuits
B/l - not sure maybe cheesy beans on HM toast
D - stir fry beef and noodles
Take care all
have a lovely day

Morning, all! Great to be back again after half term (3 days only). Most of it was geared round the new cooker which arrived on Mon and was wired in on Tues. The oven door stays on on the new one and it heats up to the correct temp - didn't realise how awful the old one had got until the replacement arrived. Will definitely be doing some baking today!
Had promised to take the kids to the cinema this half term but after discussion we bought Nanny McPhee and Wallace and Gromit on a linked offer in Tesco on DVD for almost the same amount of money - and we'll geta lot more value out of them. Let the kids slob round for 3 days as ds1 will now start the major push to the 11+ exam in Nov whuich includes practice papers in the summer and Easter hols - decided he needed some serious slob time.
Will be doing a Tesco trip later as I have been eaten out of house and home - might try the Value box of choccies. Loads of ironing - but AT least the house looks ok as I cleaned on Tues - friends round for dinner :A
No snow here yet - the kids are living in hope as their school is at the top of a very steep hill out in the country - we'll see“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

I've just finished my first 4 hour shift, it was like Siberia on the way to Melton Mobray, all my African agency workers didn't quite know what to make of it all either. I have a really tickly cough now so have Od'ed on Benylin, but other than that I feel fairly chipper. Washing up is now done, the ironing is glaring at me, and some bones are in the SC ready for a hearty soup later on and I'm thinking about maybe slapping some paint on a wall - Not very exciting really. I hope everyone else has a good day.The quicker you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up...0
