Hello everyone - sorry that so many of you are under the weather - I am too - just a cold but I think it may be just about run its course now (fingers crossed) thanks to copious amounts of Buttercup syrup - it is marvellous stuff!! I have spent the last two and a half hours ironing with my new steam generator which I love. I have so much ironing that anything that makes it speedier gets the thumbs up from me!
Breakfast was Aldi orange multigrain yoghurt with fresh grapefruit and pineapple (yum), lunch will be HM coleslaw and tuna on baguette and dinner will be gammon steaks which I got reduced in tesco yesterday with JP and large salad.
DD's 1 and 2 are still asleep, DD1 because she is 15 (enough said) and DD2 (aged 8) because she went on a sleepover last night and became homesick at 1am so I had to go and fetch her at 2am which meant no sleep in our house (except for snoring DD1) until 4am, so I am letting DD2 have a sleep in and will wake her in a minute with a cup of tea. DD1 can make her own tea lazy thing!! Why is it when they are little you can't get them to stay in bed of a morning and then as soon as they hit14 they morph into these eating and sleeping machines???
hope eveyone is having a great day! not too cold here but supposed to be going to snow later :jJane

MATH That's great news! I'm so pleased for you all.
Zed42 LOL! They are so cute at that age - when they're not having tantrums that is!
Hope you all have a good day, and that those who are feeling poorly find they start to feel better presently.

Morning everyone :hello:
MATH - congrats to Mrs MATH and everything crossed for her interview
(((hugs)))to all feeling ill, in pain or generally tired or under the weather (((hugs)))
Had a late start this morning. Was woken by DS2 at 6.15, followed by DS1 but as breakfast isn't until 7 am (or "seven nought nought" as DS2 shouts when he watches the clock) I put up with being crawled over until said time then booted Mr TM out to see to their foodWent back to sleep too - which must have meant I was tired. Was woken by WW3 at 8.30 then didn't open my eyes until 9.30 :j Stayed snuggled until 10.15 - it was bliss for a change
So, I've had a huge bowl of exotic fruit salad for brekkie (won't waste my money on starfruit again tho) with a cup of green tea. I'm dressed, but that's about it. Boys are only just getting dressed. Mr TM has gone to my mum's to cut her grass today and we need to go to Aldi's in a minute.
DS2 has decided to try and use the toilet properly :j About time too - however, at the moment it's just a case of shouting "I need a poo" every 10 minutes and sitting on his little padded toilet seat. Not doing anything, but it's a start
Zed - at least your dd is just going on about pink curtains - DS2's fave phrase at the moment (as taught by 9yo from next door) is "poo-face" It's got to the point where I ignore him when he starts saying it - gets a bit embarrassing walking round the shops thoHe does tone it down occasionally to "king-kong face"
Right, as it's a lovely sunny day here (tee-hee, are you all jealous?) I'm off out. Lovely fluffy white clouds scudding across a blue sky ...... still, it's probably freezing out there.
Have a good one

Have huge pot of home made soup in slow cooker.
Also have chicken quiche which I made yesterday - so we could have it today and I did not have to stand on my sore leg cooking - what does DH do????
Looked in fridge and nearly half of it has gone!!!
The great steaming nit has had "as a snack" half the evening meal for a family of 5 ( or 6)!!!!
I do not know why I bother as I told him clearly that the quiche was for today!!!!
If I felt it would do any good I would throw something at him!
Is it just my dopey husband who helpfully finishes things up for me and then looks confused if I either go ballistic or cry?"This site is addictive!"

Morning all
Hope everyone is well today
Well done Mrs MATH - fingers and everything else crossed for the next interview
PP - hope you feel a little better today - did you manage to DL the rest of Prison Break - I can email them to you if you want.
Curry Queen - :rotfl: at cat - mine are the same - cant get a minutes peace from them - but wouldnt be without them.
Well it is another beautiful sunny day here today - pity I have no washing to do today lol
yesterday - bed was stripped and hung outside - dried just lovely.
Made wholemeal loaf - have decided that I wont be buying shop bread again - it is quite easy making bread yourself - still not sure about buying a BM though.
cooked dinner for tonight when bread was in oven (chicken thighs which was meant to be for last night but ended up getting a takeaway - well we are on holiday this week) - dinner prepped for tomorrow night as well - beef marinading in honey, lemon juice, mustard, cumim and soy sauce.
Told OH that he had to give me a hand with making bed - ended up he went to bed before me last night - I turned sound down on laptop as I was watching eps 6 of Prison Break to hear him asking about bed - no shouting - when I went up to bed there he was in bed - no sheet no quilt cover no pillowcases aaaaghhgg - I asked why he hadnt shouted on me - he said he had ..ended up arguing - put bottom sheet on bed and my pillowcases on my two pillows - left him to do his own..........kissed and made up this morning
OH is away to golf and I am about to go and tackle the ironing
B/L - scrambed egg and HM wholemeal toast
D - chicken thighs and savoury rice
Have a lovely day all
Take care
