Morning all
Zed that sounds so much like my daughter that I had to laugh
PP I hope you start to feel better soon.
I am just struggling to get the kids ready for school, I have already yelled myself hoarse so I have quit and come on here instead. Not feeling too good as I fell asleep on the sofa last night, woke up at 1am and then couldn't get back to sleep again. I will just tootle along doing things as they come up but I do have to buy some carrots for the shepherds pie tonight.
DH informed me last night that he is training on Friday, so now I have to work out how I am taking my parents shopping with no carHe couldn't tell me last week could he?
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Good morning everyone,
PP = hope you feel better later in the day, take care xxx
Well, busy day yesterday, but still didnt manage to do everything i wanted. Did clean my computer keyboard tho, which is something i had been meaning to do for ages, and ive sorted through my medicine/first aid cupboard, so thats another long overdue job done. On top of that, the HUGE pile of 'stuff' sat by the computer has also been sorted out, so things looking quite good here (for a few hours anyway!!!!)
So, plan to sort out the creative stuff today, that i shouldve done yesterday, and basically entertain all the little ones i have here today, just one small one and two big ones (not counting my own two!!!) so shouldnt be too bad. Took them all out for a walk yesterday, but they wernt keen, so prob stay home today!!!!!
Must clean the bathroom, and if i get chance im going to hoover upstairs, as the big ones can keep an eye on the little one for me, apart from that, a bit of cooking and thats me for the day!!!!
B = Cereal
L = HM soup
D = Loaded jacket potatos
Have a good day everyone, hugs to anyone who needs one, take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning all.
PP - sorry to hear you're having a painful day. Here's hoping things settle down soon. Rest up and keep warm!
Zed - your daughter and the curtains made me chuckle. I remember when my son used to ponder things out loud, like that. Too cute!
DH and I are still getting over our mammoth haul around Sainsbury's yesterday. I got a great night's sleep, thanks to a re-organisation of pillows so that I got my old favourite back again. Aaaah, that's better!Have a touch of toothache which is setting off a touch of earache, so I think I shall be reaching for the painkillers before long. Other than that, I think everybody is in fairly fine fettle.
I'm intending to convert a Butternut Squash into soup today, I'm not too good at soup, so we'll have to wait and see how it turns out. I should have put the BM on by now, but I've woken up a bit befuddled so it will have to wait until after I've done the school run.
I found some washing soda crystals in Sainsbury's at last, so I shall have to research what proportions of crystals/powder to use in the WM and then get it going as well.
Other than that, a bit of vacuuming and a-dusting should see us right for today.
AHA!! The postie has just delivered our next two DVD's from the Sainsbury's free 6 week rental, so that's our evening sorted.
Hugs to those as need them, more hugs for those as didn't realise they needed them - and hope everyone has a better day than they anticipate.
B : wholemeal toast with marmite
L : maybe soup, maybe not
D : chilli tortilla pie (DH's job!):hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -
I've been in work for an hour, not written a word (for my salary) yet, just checked my own emails and MSE... others will start wandering in soon so I'll get a coffee and start.
At least I don't have a 9.30am deadline like the news people.
breakfast cold toast, HM white bread; lunch, in my lunchbox, HM brown with home boiled ham and HM apple chutney. Dinner - up to my beloved who is off-duty.
Everybody have a really nice day - they're all nice as far as I am concerned... :-)0 -
Zed -thank you for making me laugh.
Still enjoying being off for the week -although dd also at home with flu so not quite the peace I imagined. More running around picking up the trail of things she leaves behind and washing out mugs of half drunk lemsip.
Upside is that I have got a fair bit done around the house and had lots of tiem to catch up with MSE.
As she is a bit better today, I am going to go shopping and meet a friend for lunch.0 -
Good morning all
Snowing here again this morning - not laying today though, much to the dissapointment of the kids.
A busy day work wise today, 3 kids dropped off at 7.30am, 4 taken to school, one little here now having 10 mins of telly and lego whilst I have a coffee to thaw out. Another childminder arrives at 10am with 3 little ones for a painting morning, they leave, another of mine arrives in time for lunch, then back to school to pick up 4.....6 altogether until 4pm, then one goes, 2 go at 5pm and the last one goes at 6ish.....it's like a military operation here somedays. Add into that that DD1 has a panto rehearsal to get to and DH is off out tonight, it makes for an interesting day.
Brekkie - Endless rounds of toast and cereal this morning as everyone wanted feeding.
Lunch - I don't get time on a wednesday
Tea - Sausage and bean cassarole - If I get 10 mins at nap time to get it in the slow cooker. (cheated and part cooked the sausages last night)
Did my first mystery shopping phone assignment yesterday, hoping that more work comes of it, could do with something different.
Anyway - hope you all have a great day - hugs to those who need them."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
