    Morning all

Horrendus weather herer last night - gales and heavy rain, lots of localised flooding...it's still nasty out there now.

DD's have gone back to school today - but not without a lot of miserable faces.....from them not me! As much as I love having them off, it's easier in the summer when they can get outside and wear off some energy.

Just phoned the only dentist in town that I can get to via the bus (we only have one bus an hour from the village - it's not the most reliable of things either), can't fit me in until Thursday.....oh well - at least I'm not in pain, it's just half the tooth is wobbly - I'm sympathising with my DD's and their constant wobbly teeth. I'm not even thinking about the cost of it all - I've got savings - I'll just have to use them.

Brekkie was HM half and half bread/toast
Lunch - Salami and salad wraps for DD's
Dinner - Something with chicken (left from yesterday) Might be a pie, might be a quiche......depends how much meat I pick off the bones, I'm hoping there's enough for both.

Must do a good whizz round with a duster and the hoover, the bathroom needs cleaning and there's washing to be done, kitchen floor needs washing over too.

Hope you all have a great day - I'm off to fire up some loud music to make the housework a bit more bearable.

  • Morning all, well I'm back at work today after spending amost enjoyable sat night away with my friends (I play in a wind band) was a bit scary leaving DS and DH overnight but guess what, not only did they survive, they had an absolute ball! Tonight is the first outing of my new shiny slowcooked. I filled it this morning with 4 gammon steaks, chopped onion, cloves, bayleave and peppercorns and then topped it up coke (Asda Smart price 13p). even my DH is quite excited about what its going to be like! I wasnt sure if I could just chuick some potyatoes in as well and what they'd come out like, so I'm just doing meat this time, and then I'll experiment more if we like it.
Have a nice day all (so jealous of all on holiday this week!!!)x
Me debt free thanks to MSE :T

Uuurghhhhhhhhhhhhh! & other associated feeling rough noises. I now have the cold that OH had last week. I've rung my boss & told him I'm just doing a few bits n bobs from home today & that's it. Now I need to muster up the energy to get showered/dressed..........

I really have to pop out later too, as OH is 40 tomorrow, so need to get him some little treats. Don't know what though.................... What do you buy the man who has everything? His sister bought him a Lairdship - he is now the proud owner of 1 sqaure foot of land in the scottish highlands & is eligible to use the title "Laird of Glencairn"!!

OH is having sausage & mash for tea, I'll just have the mash, plus lots of hot ribena throughout the day.

    Morning all

Cold & windy here today - washing has just finished in TD.
DS had half term last week, & is a bit reluctant to start doing any work today. He has his art class this afternoon & I want him to get stuff done this morning first.

DH has holiday from work from tomorrow til Friday, so I may not be around here much. He thinks all this time here is a waste of time! He doesn't complain about the money saved, though!!!

Morning (is it still - feels like lunchtime already LOL!)Its a lovely cold, bright one here today.

back to work today, have been off with tonsillitis for the past 3 weeks, throat much better, just really tired still. Kids off for half term so they are at my parents house until I get home around 1pm. I had 87 emails waiting for me :(
Will call into Sainsbury's on the way home for a few bits and pieces - normally go to Mr T's but have to pass Sainsbury's on the way so it'll save me going back out when I get home - I'm not sure if its actually dearer in Sainsbury's or if they have a better selection and I buy too much! but it always seems to cost me more
Anyhow.... Made DH a chocolate fudge cake for his Bday on Saturday, it went down well (too well in my case and I might give SW a miss tonight :rotfl: ), so well in fact that I have now promised to make another friend one for a bday this week (and my bro who felt left out) so i might give that a whirl later and put them in the freezer. I don't mind really - quite flattered :o:o

    B: weetabix (for me)
    L: to be decided
    D: quorn chilli
I'm going to make a big pot of leek and potato soup too for DH and my packed lunches this week

    Hope all well, Happy Monday!

    Morning everyone

Sorry, haven't had a chance to read through the thread yet as I am having a sneaky beaky wander on the internet while at work.

However all I can say about work at the moment is SCREAM!!! Someone has a radio turned on loud though I did say I'd prefer it turned off, someone else is shredding half a mountain of documents, and we've just got rid of the vacuum cleaner which is always on for half an hour every day during office hours. My head is busting already.

The weekend was wonderful, lovely and quiet. Went to bed last night at 7.30 pm. Yes I know what a lazy cow I am....got up about midnight for an hour then miraculously got back to sleep and slept through until around 8.00 am. Was going to walk to work this morning, but decided not to bother in the end. I need to leave my uniform here and get my lunch organised as I won't be able to get home for lunch if I am walking. Tomorrow is therefore D Day. I will be slinky and slim like MATH!

    Happy Monday everyone!
