Evening all
A late one for me today, can't get near the pc so I'm on the laptop that came from the ark - it's only good for typing slowly on.....none of this new fangled stuff!
Had a really good nights sleep - always helps. DD's were due to go out at 10.30am with their dad (he's not seen them since xmas eve), he phoned at 10.25 to say he'd not left and it's an hour and a half jouney (on a good day) He arrived eventually and off the all went - the last words I said were "don't forget to take them for lunch"..........did he? Did he hell as like - delivered them back at 4.30pm full of fizzy.....grrrrrrr men!!!
Luckily I'd had the foresight to get a chicken in the SC this morning, with white wine and veg, so they were able to fill themselves with that.
DH and I went wandering round shops while they were gone, looking for skype phones, just to price them up. We were very please with ourselves, we only spent in lidls, got loads of seeds for my veggie patch (he's still got to dig it) some tuna steaks and a bunch of tulips. There was just nothing else we needed or wanted.....the OS way of life does make you appreciate what you actually "need" in life.
DD1 has gone to rehersals for the local am.dram groups panto - she wont be back for another half hour or so, she's normally in bed by 7pm so will be shattered tomorrow for school.
I've got the attractive prospect of going to the dentist to probably have my tooth removed....I can't wait!
Hope you've all had a great day......"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Morning
Had a restless night last night-kept having very vivid dreams. Woken up with a bad headache, so will step up the fluid intake today me thinks.
WM is on with about 10 shirts/tops Ive sorted out in my wardrobe that still fit me and needed a freshen up. These will be hung on hangers and SIL will iron later. Toilet cleaned. Everywhere clean and tidy still from friday and OH tidied up last night from nephew and fiance being over.
Made a lovely huge Quiche yesterday with leftover onion, mushrooms, peppers, ham and grated cheese-lovely and enough for 10 big portions.
DD back to school today and packed lunch done and shes been breakfasted!
Ordered nieces main birthday pressy too. A Barbie scooter with lights. Found a voucher on here and paid £13 including delivery-cheapest elsewhere inc delivery is about £25.
Today, wont be doing too much as not feeling great and will be on the sofa i think all day today-know its going to be a bad day!

'Morning everyone
Did some meandering round the threads earlier, now done my exercises, had a bath, breakfast (porridge), make-up etc., dressed and ready for work.
Had a good day yesterday. Did my Costco shop. Freezer is now full and I have enough for at least two months of main meals (as long as I do some veggie meals 2 - 3 days a week).
We bought a whole salmon and sliced it into 2 person portions and with the scraps I made a large salmon and tomatoe quiche which will do us two meals. Made a small cheese and mushroom quiche for DD as she is vegetarian.
Must dash ...
Have a lovely OS day everyone :hello:Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Back to school today :j :j
I do love my childrenI just like the peace and quiet whenthey'reat school.
Anyway I really ought to get the little darlings some breakfast and do their lunches.
Fun-packed day planned-after the school run it's off to tesco for basics and then to the farm shop for fruit and veg(even though farmshop can be more expensive than Tesco,I've decided to support it as If I get seasonal British produce there I know it is from local producers and is supplied by them directly to the shop).
I must make some bread later as well.
Before I know it,it'll be 3 o'clock and time to fetch them again
Breakfast - porridge and toast(with hm quince jelly)
Lunch - not sure, possibly egg sandwich(kids have ham sandwiches,sultana-oatmeal muffins and fruit)
Supper - mackerel or herring if it looks OK at Tesco
Catch you all later

Good morning,
Well, its finally half term here, so im still in my pj's, and although my 2 are home, i only have 1 little one today, so it should be a good day (hope i havnt spoken too soon  )
I had a really bad night last night, think i saw every hour on the clock, mind you, i feel ok at the moment and at least i dont have to rush around so think we will all take it easy today.
Do want to go to Tescos at some point, normally go on Wednesday, but i have a few extra children here (due to half term) so it will be a lot easier today, so once ive had my shower and gotton dressed, i think we will go and get it over and done with.
Had a really good day yesterday, did loads of cleaning, and some baking with DD, she made some lovely peanut butter cookies, and was really chuffed as its the first time shes done it on her own :T .
PP - i know how it feels not to sleep, hope you have a nice relaxing day today.
Well, thats all for now, hope everyone has a good day, take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0
