    Hi again :)

Well you can all blame me for the horrid weather in South-East London. I was on a nice warm train coming home from church and suddenly had the bright idea to get off at Blackheath and go to the farmers' market - of course as sod's law would have it, within 2 minutes of getting off the train it was chucking it down

But I did get a big cured ham hock for £1.50 :D which will go in the SC next Saturday and should do several meals :D and as it was nearly closing time I got a nice chunk of pigeon & pheasant pie knocked down to £1 which I've just had for my lunch. I'm tucked up in bed in my dressing gown at the mo because my trousers, shoes and socks were soaked through when I got home and I was freeeezing... must get into gear and do some sorting out before too long though.

Posh - that's one of the things I love about opera singers - that they can fill a huge space with no microphone! That's also one of the reasons that if I've got, say, £10 or £15 to spend on myself, I'll almost always spend it on a ticket to a live performance rather than a CD. Your singer friend isn't the person I know, by the way, who's called Liz and lives in Wales :D I'm just mad about opera, which is one of the main reasons I moved to London, and you'd be astonished at the number of shows I manage to see for not too much money.

SnowyOwl - thanks for the "recipe"!

    Rzl xx

Hi Yall, dark and damp here in the emids and very cold this morning. I got up about 7am to do me paid2clicks while it was still quiet and needed a Hot-water bottle for me tootsies. (must be getting old)

Walked to church and back this morning and plan to do the same tonight, it may even still be light when I set out (YAY)

A quite and gentle Sunday afternoon here.
I'm surfing, Mrs MATH is card crafting with Ideal World Crafters club for company, Mini MATHLETT is playing with his teddy, Major MATHLETT is in the world of ipod and Miss MATHLETT is quietly about her ol'style crafts. She is knitting herself and new scarf with some of that new trendy eyelash wool (in pink, natch). She's only eight and is just getting to grips with knitting but it's growing at an alarming rate (sshhh. Don't tell her I keep adding a couple of dozen rows when she aint looking to keep her momentum up) LOL. Two large balls of eyelash cost £3-98 and I reckon there's enough for a beanie too match the scarf so I don't think that's bad and it'll be all the better for her having made it herself. She's quite a crafty kid and makes all her own greetings cards and stamps her own gift wrap. Infact I'm the only one at chez MATH that stoops to mass-produced cards:o The boys are dab hands at the hand-made greeting too.

I plan a nice soak in the bath after church and a quiet evening watching Miss Marple with Mrs MATH. It's nice to have a peaceful and quiet end to a very busy, noisy but no-spend fun half term.

    Ladygray Hi

All Weightwatchers Although I've always been reasonably slim I've been so by not eating normally and have a shameful past of starve/binge behind me. Anyone can be skinnny if they only eat one small meal a day and survive the rest of the time on black coffee and cigarettes. I've been ciggie free for 14 months and now I no longer do that stuff I'm eating better and more healthy than I ever have. The two rules I stick to is:
    1) Drink a glass of water every 2 hours and
    2) Eat something every 3 hours even if I do not feel hungry.

I guess what I want to say is be kind to yourself and know you're wonderful whatever your weight is. You don't have to be a stick insect to love or be loved and that's is why they don't make wedding dresses is size 8 only.;) (The OPRAH moment has officially ended) LOL

    Enjoy your day

    Luv MATH x

A busy old day in the house of brum today!
    • 3 loads of washing done (and still 1-2 more to do!)
    • Roast dinner cooked & eaten (and very nice it was too!!)
    • Cooker cleaned (I'm determined to keep on top of it now by doing it more regularly!)
    • Ironing done
    • DW on
    • Lounge cleaned/vacummed.
    • Kitchen cleaned
    • DS1 & 2 taken to the park this afternoon
    • Stripped our bed - will do DS1 & 2's over next few days (drying/washing/ironing gets too much if all done on same day!)
I think that's about it! Still need to clean the bedrooms, but am not back at work until Thursday (yippee!!) so have plenty of time to do it!

Just going to surf for a bit, with a nice :coffee: , then early bath for DS1 & 2 and get them into bed at 7pm!! Try and have a relaxing evening and an early night!!

    Hi all
Mad panic day here today, making sure everything is ready for new lodger tomorrow. We also went to B & Q & bought the tiles for our hall & downstairs loo, only £56 as they were on special offer. We are getting all the odds & ends finished in the house, so we can put it on the market & downsize, what with the fuel bills rising & council tax as well. I'm not sure what we will downsize to tho, we paid £155k for the house & thats cheap for Berkshire.
I'm going to make a huge pot of soup, to take to work next week.
Hugs & blessing to you all.
    Sue
I'm going to cost out every meal this week to make sure I don't make a loss on the lodger.

    Welcome all new OS

late post for me today - couldn't get near computer yesterday today as DSS and Nephew were playing XBox live on line - ended up with DSS and nephew staying again last night even though DSS dad was working.

Didn't do much yesterday - dropped DSD home and went for some shopping to ASDA. came home and made some things for the freezer.

    Chilli x 2 meals for 2 people
Spag bol x 1 meal for 2 people
marsetti - x 1 meal for 4 people (last nights dinner)

I worked the cost of the above meals out today and the total came to £3.10- 31p per meal - felt quite impressed with myself

Havne' done much today - just kept thing tidy - cant be bothered doing anything else - am on holiday this coming week so intend to give house deep clean then.

B/l - sausage, egg beans and toast
D - stir fry chicken, veg and noodles.

am going to sit and relax in a mo with some wine, 24 and might watch the Pianist which I recorded a couple of weeks ago

    Have a lovely evening all

    Take care

Well, there we were, eating our tea when I mentioned to Mr TM that my mum's next door neighbour is going to be putting her house on the market. "oooh", says he, "I want to have a look at that. It's the only house I'd move to" (yes, even though it's next door to my mum, although not adjoined)

(Although I have to say, it is a gorgeous house although I fear it will be far beyond our means and I think it needs a fair bit of 'serious' work doing to it)

Also, just said to him "you've forgotten the date haven't you?" - He had - we've been together 10 years today. Blimey - 10 years!! Surely I should have parole by now  :rotfl:

Just an addenda to my earlier post.

I made the chicken casserole in the SC in the end. DH had 4ths, so not too shabby ... no leftovers no though.

The lemon meringue pie, ah well ... the pastry was OK, the meringue was excellent, the lemon .. was, erm, not set .... no-one remembered to tell me it had to cool down to set, ah well ... better luck next time! I've made two, so hoping that the lemon will set better when it has cooled. Can I then freeze it??:o

Started to clear out the filing cabinet .... that is a job which is going to require strength, determination and a very large drink! DH and I are hoarders, but do I really need to keep ALL my payslips since I was 16!!
