Afternoon all! :hello:
CQ - Fingers crossed with your deposit. The agents that we rented our old house from were so relaxed. When we moved in to that house, there were ahem stains in corners of some carpets (previous tenant had a cat that she wasn't allowed). On our moving out, OH admitted to them that he'd ripped the lino and they deducted some money for its replacement. They then questioned the stains on the carpets and OH pointed out that they were then when we moved in and they backed away - they'd lost their copy of the inventory that had that marked on. TBH, they didn't really care just so long as the rent was paid!
PP - I hope that your hospital appointment went well and that you were able to have a posh coffee!
I really should stop having so much coffee. Did you see that "You Are What You Eat" the other night with the vicar? He drinks 40 cups of tea a week. Then I worked it out that when I'm at school, I have about 5 cups of coffee AND my morning cuppa! Hmmmm, better do something about it.
Please kick me up the behind for not being a good OSer! I really need to lose weight for our wedding this year, so on the way home from work yesterday the devil on my shoulder was saying "why don't you pop and get a can of coke and a bar of choccy". Angel said, "Save the money and put it in a pot instead of spending it and getting fat". All that went to pot when OH phoned and said that he wouldn't be back until 11pm from work, so I went and got fish and chips. I'm so weak and I felt absolutely terrible afterwards, but they tasted so good. Really annoyed that it's set me back. Where's my will power!?
Chicken stir fry for supper tonight. Should have had it last night (see above reason for not having it).
See you later

Afternoon all - it is so cold today isn't it. I've spent the morning at my parents house, catching up with my sisters and the nephews. Took my sister the rug i had finished for her, and she was really pleased with it. She has asked me to do some winnie the pooh cross stitch kits she bought for her son's bedroom wall, but hasn't had time to do, to be honest, it's nice to have things like that to do, and will cost nothing if she already has the kits.
I wasn't very OS for dinner last night. The chicken we had got just didn't smell right, and i didn't want to risk food poisoning on top of my mystery tiredness, so we ended up binning it and getting a takeaway curry. It scuppered my meal planning, but was rather tasty. I currently have a 2nd chicken defrosting to try take 2 of the roast this evening.
I suppose i should have took it back to the shop as it was still in date.
Need to put WM and BM on, as so far i've done nothing today. Have a lovely evening everyone.

I am not having a good day today. I feel like everything has got on top of me. I feel like i am hitting rock bottom again.
I was told i had PND last March after 3 years going undignosed. It has been a very long journey and my Dr has told me to expect it to take 3 years to get better. I have very few bad days now but when i do i just feel so down.
This week has not been a good one my mum had told me she has pre cancer cells and needs to under go treatment.
Sorry I just feel i needed to share that with you all and in doing so i feel a tiny bit better.0 -
BIG HUG FunkyFairy :grouphug:
Do remember that what your mum's got is only pre-cancer cells, NOT cancer, so there may be very little to worry about. Doesn't stop you worrying though does it :grouphug:Operation Get in Shape

Hi FF - it's good that the pre cancer cells have been found now, as treatment at early stages is usually successful.
I have just got back from hospital, and my cells are not pre-cancerous - I think they were just a bit odd, but are apparently fine now, so that's good news.
And I have found one of the benefits of a menu plan. I got home to find DH cooking dinner. He had got in before me, had looked in my menu & money diary, and started cooking dinner - what a nice surprise! I shall have to be this organised more often!0 -
Evening all!
Sounds like there has been a few bad days around today (((((to you all)))).
My day wasnt so bad, felt a little put out this morning with some things going on at work but its just finding the time to get everything sorted that is causing problems as opposed to actual people. Didnt have a bad day though and managed to get a few things sorted and was able to leave at 4.30 instead of 5! Yey!
I got home earlier than normal so I tidied up a bit, put the bm on, and am about to make dinner and some lemon curd (which I still havent got round to making yet!) On that note im off as I want to get loads done this evening so I can free up more of tomorrow evening, which is my weekend!

Can I just bury a huge moan about DH right here? He's getting so bad money wise that I really can't see why I am trying so hard. Last week he gaily informed me that he had forgotten to pick up his cheque for conducting and the guy that pays him won't be there this week either, it might only be £60 but every penny counts at the moment, he's forgotten to pay his credit card for the last two months incurring 2 late payment fees (it's the only credit card I can't pay for him online) and then he went and spent more money on it 2 days before I was due to do a balance transfer on to it and close it down so now the figures are all mixed up and I have to wait a further month to cancel it
He's leaving every electrical gadget on all over the house, being so casual about any money saving I try to do and when I have saved money, going out and spending it on stupid things like more DVD's (he already has so many I don't where to put them all). If I moan at him he loses his temper and says I'm treating him like a child. I just feel like giving up moneysaving, I live in second hand clothes, raid the bootsales for treats for the kids and for what? To see him living the life of Reilly! I'm sat here freezing but today he was conveniently 'sick' and stayed in bed all day because he knew I wanted him to finish fitting the draught excluding. I've done all the bits my hands will allow me to do. I've even still got two christmas decorations up on the ceiling because I'm too short to get them and he conveniently forgets if I ask him to get them
Totally fed up, I have his new credit card and his pin number. I'm about ready to max them out on a shopping spree for meOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
