Good Morning!
Doing the 4am wake up thing here again after a fairly good run of sleep in the last couple of weeks. Wish I knew why it happens and why I then go back to sleep just before alarm goes off  Glad to hear you had a better night though pp.
Just off to wash the whites and then have coffee and toast with DH. BM to get going and also stew into SC. This should have been done yesterday but DD and her friend took over the kitchen to make cheese straws and fudgeso now I am behind.
Catching up with a friend this morning, will have a nice walk to her house and DD to tutor this afternoon. Looking forward to attending a concert this evening.
Have a good day all.0 -

Another restless night here - mind working overtime thinking about the panto I'm in next week(don't know all the script yet  ) last time I was in it I didn't have any words to say as I was the front end of Daisy the pantomime cow!
PP glad you had a better night and good luck at the hospital!
Hope all you feeling rough manage to pick up a bit today!
Good luck finding the missing bits from your bed CurryQueen !

Hope you manage to get your deposit back from the landlord - when I left my last place we spent an entire morning thoroughly shampooing the carpets and they looked great, but the letting agency still deducted money from our deposit to get them cleaned professionally
This is the problem I've got, as despite spending a day shampooing the carpets with my George 3in1 cleaner, there were still a couple of marks in the living room carpet (cream carpet  ) which I know damn well would have come out with a professional cleaner, but no, he decides to rip out the carpet and put a brand new one in which I now have to pay for  "An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

I wonder what it is about 4am that causes us all to wake up around that time... could understand it if it was summer as it's getting daylight by then!
It doesn't matter if I go to sleep at 10pm or 1am, I still wake up around 4am, apart from yesterday when I slept till around 9am, but I had been awake for almost 24 hours prior to that "An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Morning all
Must be something in the air, seems we all had bad nights! I was up & down like a yo-yo to Spud. Totally shattered this morning & no enthusaim to do ANYTHING! But the kitchen drain is blocked & flooding the conservatory so I guess I can't ignore it:mad:. All I want to do is get some time in the kitchen to experiment with my stuffed cabbage leaves recipe!
Good luck PP & KC, I hope everything goes well for you.
CQ, you have a PM.

I think I'm about to kill DH, I've just taken him up a cup of coffee to try and get him out of bed as it's nearly midday, told him that I had rung the energy efficiency people and they were going to send out a surveyor about the cavity wall insulation and if we can get it mostly paid for by grant. He said "It's worth thinking about I suppose." Stuff thinking about it, I am getting it done whether he likes it or not, I am freezing, how am I supposed to work in the kitchen when it's like an icebox
The kitchen radiator needs bleeding and he won't even get out of bed to help me move the cabinet so I can bleed itOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Def worth getting the cavity walls done (and loft insulation if you need it!!!) i had mine done in the summer, and have definatly noticed a big difference this winter, hopefully cheaper electric bill this year!!!!0 -
Morning all!
So glad you had a better night PP , even though it seems as if most of the rest of us didn't (I woke up 3 times!)!Hope you got on okay at the hospital. You must be so sick of being poked and prodded around. At least it's in a good cause, they are trying to get you better.
Wishing on a star - I do hope you feel better soon!
Freyaluck - that was a horrible shock for you about the housing list, but I'm sure Curry Queen is right and it will be a shorter wait than you fear.
Charlotte - thanks for the hug, much appreciated! I send ((((((HUGS)))))) to everyone too.
DH has been off sick on Monday and Tues (he doesn't work on Wednesdays) - he's gone to work this morning but has an appointment for acupuncture at the Pain Management clinic this afternoon. His job is very pressured as they keep doling out more work to his office that other offices say they haven't got time to do! (He works for DVLA) I think he's worn out - when he gets tired the pain from his arthritis etc gets worse as he hasn't the resources to cope with itEvery time he goes to the Pain Management clinic the doctor expresses surprise that he's still going to work, but he can't really afford to apply for medical retirement yet and it's very difficult to get. He used to be a telecomms engineer though, and he did get early retirement from that.
I'm really hoping the doctor will say he needs a couple of weeks off to rest.
Sorry about that - whinge over now!
Hope you all have a good day

Hello everyone
More sleepless nights, I do feel for you, as I have had my share of those, especially when the children were small - I am beginning to feel guilty about having had a good nights sleep!
Moggins - the cavity wall insulation is well worth it, especially if you get some help with a grant. Our house is right on a corner, so the insulation has really helped keep the place warm.
This afternoon I have a hospital appointment. Before that I will be taking part in a church service at a care home in a village nearby, then I have to go straight from there to the main town & hang around until time for my appointment - the village is on the way there, so it would be silly to come home then go back again. But I am not looking forward to the appointment! Still, I would rather have the test & know everything was okay - so I am grateful really for the health service.0
