Right, now I'm back. 'Morning everyone :hello:

Been trawling the threads since about 5.15 ... in my defence I fell into bed at 8 o'clock because I was so tired.

Today we are going to the farmers market. We have been living off the contents of the freezer for the last 2 months (supplemented with a couple of packets of farmer's market sausages ...yum). So today we are going to start restocking. If we get there early enough we plan on lamb, sausages, lamb mince etc. I'll probably order 10lb of lamb mince from my favourite butcher to be brought to the next market. If I can get some chicken thighs I'll stock up on those as well - it wasn't until I went OS that I found out how much meat you get on these.

If I manage to get some lamb mince today, I'll use 1/2 lb to make six large pasties - with pastry, carrot, onion and potato they probably cost about 30p each and are very filling.

See you later everyone ... have a lovely OS day :D

  • Morning, PP - morning all. :D

Got up early, this morning, to get some stuff done on the computer before Messrs. Demanding 1 & 2 (also known as DS and DH) appear. Having done all that and had my morning wake-up drink of half a lemon juiced into hot water, I'm feeling quite perky. Shame its turned into Antarctica, out there, or I'd be rounding up son and dogs and taking them off to the park!

Oh, by the way - how do you like the new avatar?? :D That's Jonty, my Saluki. He's too photogenic for his own good. lol

So where are we? Well, the BM is on with some more speckly bread - with sunflower seeds as well as oats and linseed, today. WM is awaiting the morning rush - its got the swimming things from yesterday in it already and, can you believe, the dirty washing basket is empty! The dishes are done from last night, the birdies are cleaned out and fed, toilet is cleaned.

Tonight's dinner is the other half of last night's Lasagne, so that's sorted and easy-peasy. I might make an upside down cake later - I'll have to have a fruit audit and see what needs using up. :)

DS has appeared requesting "coffee" - also known as hot milk with half a teaspoon of honey and about three grains of coffee. :D So I'd better jump to it. ;)

Have a lovely Saturday, one and all. Hope your cold clears up soon, PP.

    B : Porridge
L : Poached egg on speckly bread toast
    D : h/m lasagne and salad.
:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:

    Morning you lot :hello:

yep - kids - no matter how much they promise not to come in and wake you - there they are at some unearthly time in the morning :( Mine are currently watching 'Finding Nemo' - again - cos I bought DS2 a F.N. duvet set the other day :D

It's all misty today - or as DS1 just said "look at all the water gas, mummy" (Guess what he's been doing at school :rotfl:) Laundry will therefore be dried on the airer/rads. Today I deffo need to dust my bedroom and although I washed the bedding yesterday, I need to take mattress cover off and do that (no time yesterday), vac the mattress and get Mr TM to help me turn it. Really need to get on top of some filing too. I have 3 years worth of mystery shopping paperwork (keep for between 1-3 months!) so will perhaps index the details and bin them.

Ooooh - just see a humungous spider walking up my wall - wil just have to relocate..... I'm back...wonder if it enjoyed the remains of my brandy and babycham from last night :D (In my defence, m' lud, I'm using up those part empty bottles in the cupboard :rotfl:)

I need to pick up Mr TM's suit from the cleaners (He couldn't possibly as he 'doesn't know where it is' - and can't look at a map ) He needs it for tomorrow - only told me last night so it'sa good job he didn't say that this evening, isn't it :D

Just need fresh milk and maybe some more green grapes, if I see them on offer anywhere. Which reminds me, must go and add Thursday's food purcases to my monthly list before I forget.

Have a great day one and all and get better soon, those feeling poorly (((hugs)))

  • morning all!

got work soon, but dh has for some reason decided to go to the barbers. Now how exactly I am supposed to go to work I don't know as its illegal to leave the kids home alone  He's doing my head in just lately....

Went to Tesco after work last night. Got some bits for the weekend. Stuck to my list as well, I am really really getting into this money saving lark & it shows. Didn't go Overdrawn last month!!!

Got paid yesterday, my overtime went in as well as my target bonus so am 'rich' this month. I'm going to go all out & buy myself some socks!!!

Hope everyone is well, esp you Penny x

    Have a good day

    Morning!

I was exhausted last night, started feeling really ill so fell asleep on the sofa at about 9 and so woke up really early this morning, feeling better though! I must have just needed a really good sleep.

Bad news is that I havent been paid yet, not a massive disaster as I have money and dont need it right now as we are stocked to the rafters - I was just looking forward to being able to pay some bills early and clear that Next account! I like being paid as it feels good, but it is quite annoying as it means that its another 4 weeks till payday. It will probably appear on Tuesday now so Ill work the budget out anyway and set up some postdated transfers online.

One good thing to come out of not being paid yet is that it means I wont be tempted to go out and spend money - ill stay in for the weekend and chill out, do some reading for work, do some cooking, work out a meal planner and finalise budget, do some cleaning and a bit of admin. Hopefully ill be picking up a filing cabinet too so I can get a bit more organised - sorting out a home office I think!

Anyway, off for more tea and start thinking about what ive got to do!

    Have a nice weekend all!

    Jo xx

Yaaaayyy - FF - congrats to mum and baby :D Isn't it lovely when they come home.

However, how many mums out there remember coming home with baby No1 , plonking the car seat on the carpet in the front room with a sleeping baby, looking at OH and both thinking - well, what shall we do now? :rotfl:
  • Good Morning All

On here trying to motivate myself.

Havnt been up before 8 o clock everyday this week and it really slows me down for the rest of the day. Have got behind with everything so will trying to have a well organised day today and make a head start on next weeks jobs so can enjoy tomm with the kids before they go back to school.

Plan is - empty washing basket and iron it by end of today, tidy all bedrooms, clean bathrooms and kitchen. Sit down with children to get homework done. Cook lunch and dinner (had few takeaways this week!). See what Ive got in freezer and cupboards and menu plan for next wee as plan to be back on MS from then on!!.

    Have a good day all.
