Maxi MATH has been banned from going anywhere due to me having a letter from the head about him flicking the bird at a teacher:eek: He gets that kind of behaviour from Mrs MATH's side of the family. LOL
Needless to say I was  an he has beenand will be on gardening detail tidying my garden tomorrow while I'm up me Dad's tidying his:rolleyes:
No dinner to worry about tonight as Mrs MATH is cooking up one of her special currys which we shall chow on while watching American Pop Idol. I don't know why I watch it cos my sis always rings on a Wednesday and tells me who's won after it is screened over there. LOL
Frey Thank's for asking, Mrs MATH is waiting to hear (probably Tue/Wed) if she will be called in for a face2face interview. I know we shouldn't be we're getting our hopes up)

Good afternoon,
I havnt read many of the threads yet today, so hugs (((((( :grouphug: )))))) to anyone that needs one!!!
Have 4 children here today, and went to a friends house for them to play with her daughter, and so i could have a natter, which has been lovely. They all played really well together, which makes my job a lot easier, and they like going to a new place and playing with different toys!!!!
So, not much done so far, WM has been on once and that load has been hung up, one more load to do. DW emptied, and started to be refilled and that is it!!! Must clean the bathroom before the little ones go to bed, and once they have done that, the older one that i have here as a favour for a friend (a baker day at school) and i are going to do some reading and writting together!!!!!
Glad its Friday, as no work tomorrow, although DS does have a football match (i must admit, i am hoping it will be called off as its been raining all day, so fingers crossed for a water logged pitch!!!) so that does mean another early start, but hopefully a nice lie-in on Sunday!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day, take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Afternoon everyone
Manic day today - been out all morning collectings bits for our bingo tonight and also been to the dentist (apparently i have a dry socket!!!!). Got to pack our suitcases today and also out to a presentation evening tonight for my daughter as she has won a medal for her swimming. Leaving tomorrow morning at 9am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So obviously i wont be on for a week - how will i cope without mse???
Hope everyone has a good week and will be back next sunday.
Liz xx0 -
Afternoon all.
CQ : well done, you!
Starlorna22 : I second what somebody else said, don't let somebody else's bad driving put you off. Why not have a couple of test runs, just to get your confidence back, before you have to go somewhere for an appointment. Far better to just have a pootle around at a quiet time of day, just to get yourself back in the groove, than feel rushed and flustered because you have to be there for a certain time.
moggins : awww, don't beat yourself up over it. You never know, it may have been just the thing she needed - and although they make you feel dreadful because they know just how to hit the guilty button, it happens to everybody no matter how iron your resolve to not be wound up!!
ronankfan : hope you have a good week away!
So far today, DH has cooked up a vat of mince for a gigantic Lasagna tonight. We're hoping that half will do for all three, with half being able to be put in the freezer. Fingers crossed! He even washed up after him, so there was no need for me to tackle breakfast dishes. Yay!
I've spent all morning ironing and sewing up dubious seams in school trousers. Can't have the lad's bottom falling out of his trousers, halfway through the day!Its interesting to see what my open shelves looked like before the dust settled ... its only by reaching the bottom of the ironing pile, that I'm reminded!
DH and DS are off swimming today - should have been yesterday, but DH had a wobbly tum and decided that discretion was the better part of valour - so they're having another try today. Once I've dropped them off, I shall pop to the Post Office to pay £10 off the Electricity debt, then come home and pay the main Elec and Gas bill via the internet. So if you hear a loud gurgling noise - that's my bank account.
Had the Sainsbury's magazine come through yesterday, with £40 in vouchers (spend £50, get £5 off) and details of a 6 week free DVD rental offer. We've signed up for it and are just waiting for our first choices to arrive. That's made DH happy, as he misses his DVD extravaganzas.
Right, quick tidy up and put WM and BM on before I go out.

What a great day I'm having for getting things :j
- I bought the bus pass (£2.10) and when I was getting on the bus someone who was getting on the bus at the same time going to the same place paid £1.30 so I saved myself 50p there
- Posted letter (freepost) & ebay parcel (£1.12 but we charged £1.40 to cover packaging) , did car tax (6 months so that we can stagger car costs as the MOT is due next month!)
- Trip to the bank to pay in acheque for £12.15 from eBay sales.
- (Treated myself to a pizza slice for a snack as my stomach was rumbling for 85p
)
- Bought a 2006 calender for the kitchen with Panoramic views of the Lake District and a 50th birthday card for £1.98.
- New twin pack of toothbrushes for DD (BOGOFF) 99p and cheap ownbrand Savlon for 79p.
- Book two books (The diary book of home management & The diary book of family cookery) on BOGOFF in the charity shop so they only cost me 75p
- HomeBargins : Rainbow bags (using a voucher so they were free), 3 microfibre cloths 99p, oxiclean style stain remover 500g tub 89p, multipack of biscuits (for lunches so they'll be stashed
) 75p
- Woolworths - Bought "Stepford Wives" on DVD £6.99 but had a £5 voucher from my birthday
- Kwiksave - 2 jars Simply peanut butter (one smooth one crunchy as I couldn't remember which one OH likes) as a treat since DD isn't allowed nuts for school - £1.02 much cheaper due to larger jars than Asda SP (plus it tastes better
)
- Iceland - Warburtons sandwich buns 12 pk for 54p (reduced from £1.08) and 3 Polany Chubs (OH's favourite) on 3 for £1
- Fruit shop (the one Johanne is always talking about) - Spent £4.19 on stuff that is better quality than the SP from Asda and would have normally cost me £4.77 :j
:D Only trouble is I've got terrible back ache now from carrying my rucksack full of goodies  SO I'm off to watch Stepford wives while doing the ironing (just enough time before having to leave to pick DD up )
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 - I bought the bus pass (£2.10) and when I was getting on the bus someone who was getting on the bus at the same time going to the same place paid £1.30 so I saved myself 50p there

Hi folks,
Well done CQ, little baby steps...... hugs to all who need them, snoozes to those who have not slept last night for various reasons.....
Lovely day here, washing out on the line, hope it will be dry by tea time. OH off to funeral of a bowling pal, so I am concentrating on getting together a quilt thats laying on my sitting room floor in bits......Its for friend and I want to get it finished.
Quick trip to the bank to pay in a couple of cheques that landed in the post this morning, I need to transfer another £35 to cover our expected spending in Paris next weekend....I am hoping to get away with spending about £100, we have to buy a couple of cooked meals and will get sanwiches for supper, We have booked a hotel with breakfast which is unusual for Paris, normally its room only. I take a travel kettle, tea and coffee with us so we can have a hot drink in our room, French hotels do not seem to have caught on to the hospitailty tray as yet.
Right off to do some sewing, have a good rest of the day folks............

Well done curry queen!
Moggins- I know how you feel - my 12 year old is going through a "whiney" stage - picking at food etc - drives you mad.
Went to Tesco and they have chickens half price - £1.99 so got three of them. Also got loads of veg and fruit so very pleased.
Tea will be home made pizza and we had mackerel salad for lunch. I may have home made soup instead of pizza.
Big hug to anyone having a bad day."This site is addictive!"

Is your beach a proper sand beach ? if so make a big castle then take a big run up and kick it to bits - very satisfying - especially if any little children are looking admiringly at your creation
Cheers
