'Morning everyone
I hope all the essays are now complete or at least you are down to the summaries. Ah, I remember those days ... none of us ever learnt to get the writing done good and early either!
It's FRIDAY ... so it's the weekend tomorrow
Lots of left over veg from last nights meal, so tonight I'm pan frying the mashed celeriac, leeks and cabbage and serving it with baked salmon (baked with a mix of cream cheese, herbs and grain mustard on top.
The freezer is now just about emptied ... just one forlorn packet of meat of uncertain origin (will have to defrost, cook and taste to find out what that is!). So this weekend it's the farmers market on Saturday and the 4/5 monthly trip to Costco on Sunday (a bulk purchase of olive oil being top of the shopping list)
Breakfast: porridge with sultanas and semi-skimmed milk
Lunch: HM wholemeal bread sandwiches (salad)
Dinner: as outlined above
Have a lovely OS day everyone :hello:Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -

big essay now completed, and am just contemplating the principle of flow continuity...need more E numbers to stay awake now!
...will a cup of tea do the same job i wonder?? :coffee:

Morning
Hope everyone is well. Slept quite well last night, but still have the head cold, so have taken some more cold and flu tablets to hopefully clear it.
WM is on ATM and the DW needs emptying. Cleaner is here today so nothing else needs doing-just the beds need stripping and new bedding put out.
OH's shepards pie turned out lovely yesterday and he even managed to not spoil the veg (cabbage and sweetcorn). All the kitchen was cleaned down too after and was as if, he had never been in there...LOL. He trimmed the back of my hair for me too as I had a few scraggy bits.
Have to go up the hospital again this morning and then we are supposed to be taking DD to cinema (march of the penguin....lucky me!) at Thurrock then go to TGI's after. I have a BOGOF voucher on main meals, then £30 in freedom vouchers. So am hoping that I can use both together as the freedom vouchers are gift vouchers, so normally tendered as cash. I have free UCI tickets too, so today shouldnt cost us anymore than £10 including the toll fees. Have bought a bag of revels, bag of maltesers, 2 bags of popcorn and will take a ltr of water. Probably will take a sarnie with me as the film starts at noon and i would have needed to eat by then IYKWIM.
Breakie: Toast/Marmalade/Jam
Lunch: Sarnie or Roll
Dinner: TGI's hopefully
Been invited to OH's cousin tomorrow to see the baby, but am unsure whether we are going or not yet.
Have a great day everyone and will pop back in later.

Morning all!
Its FRIDAY!!! YEY!! It means I get time off after work for a few days of relaxing - the flat is pretty clean so I have less to do and boyf says to leave a list and he will do it! How cool is that!!
Hopefully I should get paid tomorrow so Im going to plan the budget at work today and get organised, the food budget is going to drop a little this month once ive worked out how much food we have in (my february use up month will start tomorrow!) and done a meal planner. I did underspend on my CC by £66 this month, but then blew it on the food processor (naughty!) so ill try again this month - I pay it in full every month so im not paying interest so its not the end of the world. Ive actually managed to get to the end of the month with a bit of cash in my current account, extra bill money in the bill account, and havent touched the 'savings to reduce overdraft when they start charging me interest on some of it'.
All in all not a bad month! So as february is a short month and the pay will be light this month (less saturdays worked) I can hopefully still stay on track.
Im going to go get ready for work as my brain is working out figures.... Oh - and I only have one more pay day (after tomorrow) at my current pay - I should be getting a rise in my basic pay and will be finding out early in March if its a good one or not! Fingers crossed!!!

B: Cereal
L: Scrambled eggs on toastI'm going out for a curry!! DD and DH will have left over shep's pie from the freezer
DD and me will be making jam doughnut muffins today (yummy), also I'm going to tackle my leather sofas with saddle soap - they are resembling grey, whent hey should be cream!!!!!!!!!
Bye for nowSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Morning everyone :hello:
Not posted properly on here for a while now as usually by the time I get to read the thread there are a zillion posts and it takes me all my coffee break just to read them, let alone post too :rotfl:
Anyway, hope everyone is doing ok - didn't get chance to read yesterday's thread fully so hope no one has any major worries/illness etc to contend with and (((big hugs))) if you do, or just want/need one :kisses:
I've been busy pottering about the house this week mainly doing domestic chores - it's bloody hard work keeping up with day-to-day stuff let alone trying to tackle all the extra stuff I need to do, so that side of things are going v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y indeed
Had some great drying weather though, amongst the rain, so can't complain as I've managed to get all my washing done, including bedding, and dried on the line this week
Yesterday I spent the afternoon in the kitchen batch cooking various things - two soups, beef casserole, red onion sauce (to go with liver which I'll finish cooking today), blueberry muffins, boiled fruit cake and a banana & date loaf - some of which will go in the freezer and the rest will be scoffed over the weekend!
My most exciting news this week though is that I managed to venture down to the local market on Tuesday :j :T
I avoided the early morning rush and went just after lunch time, but was disappointed to see stalls already closing up as early as 2pm and just missed the fresh fish van  ... so need to try get there a bit earlier next time if I can. Managed to bag a few bargains though and also found a very good butcher's shop which ticked all the boxes for good quality meat, sourced locally etc and at reasonable prices, so I think I'll definitely be going back there again. Picked up a couple of fresh ham hocks which are now in the freezer until I decide what to do with them (do fresh ones need soaking in cold water overnight first?) and also noticed they sell ox tails so think they will be on my shopping list next time, as well as rabbits
I definitely think a "chic shopper" is next on my shopping list though as despite having a car it's still a struggle carrying heavy bags round the shops, and if I need to make a hasty exit (which I did on Tuesday after DS1 threw a tantrum in a shop because I'd asked him to carry the bags  ) it would be far easier to do with a trolley. Just hope that incident hasn't knocked my confidence too much and that I can go back there again soon
Today will be mainly spent cleaning - bathroom and kitchen need a good going over, and washing up from yesterday's marathon cooking session to do yet, and dust and hoover downstairs I think. Then with a bit of luck I should be having my new shed put up later this afternoon :j
Can start moving some of these boxes out of the house then and maybe get my bedroom actually looking like a bedroom instead of a storage depot :rotfl:
Right, that's it from me for now - hope you all have a lovely day!"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Morning all...
Going out shopping today as I have loads of errands to run (bank, car tax, post & ebay parcel) so I'm going to buy a day bus pass and go for a wander around while I'm at it. I need to remember to buy something for me to eat tomorrow in the car (I have a £5 voucher for Woolworths so I might spend at least some of that on goodies :shhh: ) as we have to run DD up to her nans as SIL's car has broken down AGAIN!!!!! Thats a 4+ hour round trip so I might try to talk OH into popping somewhere on the way home so it's not a "wasted" trip up the M6 to the lakes!
GTG - DD can't find the toothpaste again :doh:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
hi all,
hope you are all well.
CQ- From one agrophobic to another WOOHOO:j :j :j   _party_ _party_
Keep on going out, it gets easier. I'm so pleased you've managed a couple of trips so far, well done:kisses:
As for me today, I just have a mystery shop job to do and a little light house work. The last couple of days have been manic, the house has been full of lots of visitors and children, so I'm looking forward to getting out for some air!
Have a good one everyione.:wave:0 -
Morning all
CQ - Well done on the market trip - You're going great guns there!
Working today, only the one little one and DD's are currently entertaining.....I came online to do some banking, got all the bills paid and there's money left - must be a minor miracle.
Brekkie - Shop bought bread (forgot to make any yesterday) - it was horrible and I've got heartburn.
Lunch - Errrmmmm.......I'll come back to you on that one.
Dinner - Chicken and cheesy pasta bake thingy.
Got a huge pile of ironing to do while little one sleeps, loads of bits need ferrying from room to room too - think I shall enlist DD's help while they're still at home.
Was like a scene from WW2 here last night, DD1 pulled a tooth out and it bled and bled and bled, and of course she couldn't stand still so it went everyhwere, whilst sorting her out, DD2 threw a small bouncy ball against her wall, it bounced back and went straight in her eye, she's now got a lovely black eye and you'd have thought the world was going to end.......DH walked in took one look and nearly went back to work! I can't say I blame him.
BM needs to go on, WM does too - DW is on, TD will get used, SC needs cleaning out......Suppose I'd better get on with it!

Morning one and all
Not feeling 100% today I must admit. After working a 12 hour day yesterday, I felt far too ill and tired to go to this evening do with a colleague, so my boss told me off. Fancy I have the nerve to put my health before unpaid overtime, when I've already worked 4 hours too much for the day. Bad me, smack my wrists
All food for the day has been lovingly brought in from home, and last night's fresh trout was delish!Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0
