Who said anything about racism towards a customer? Just because someone is rude doesn't make them a racist.

Nooooo a check out pleb was rude too my mrs...as my wife is non English we felt it the comment has racist under tones.

Hence why the pleb was later sacked.

The old saying is true...The customer is ALWAYS right...:D

I agree with uk2bkk, I only went to Aldi once, would never go again. The customer service is rubbish, it's not very clean, and it's not even that cheap. Or maybe that's just my local Aldi.

    Totally agree with you.
*I take back the comment i originally made *

I choose not to shop there as I get retail discount vouchers (10% off ASDA , 5% off Morrisons) through the company i work for and regularly shop at ASDA with these. For £200 shop a month I save £20 and find ASDA the best all round supermarket when judging both price and quality.

Fortuantly i don't need to go to Aldi or Lidl because i'm not on benefits, however if I was i'd hate the day i'd have to step into those shops. They are awful!

LOL what a stupid comment to make.
Aldi and Lidl woo middle-class shoppers as Waitrose loses out

Aldi claims that half its customers are now middle class – the ABC1 social category – while Lidl says its car parks are now full of Mercedes, BMWs and Audis, as professionals flock to enjoy bargain basement prices.

Maybe you wouldnt be trolling the "debt-type" forums if you DID shop at Aldi. I'm not on benefits but was left knee deep in the proverbial **** by an ex-husband and if it wasnt for stores like Aldi, I would struggle to eat most weeks. While i'm here, yeah, I wish I was on benefits like the lazy tw@ts who live next door to me who have never worked and are better off than me.....

As for the OP, sure Aldi have different way of packing but there was still no need to be rude, a simple explanation with a smile would have probably worked and finally......I often refer to checkout people as robots or plebs because that is often how they act.

    /end of rant.
:j Got the loan and now down from £9k to £4.5k. Trying to get a better mortgage deal now but thanks to ex-husband I am being knocked back..... Still in a better place than two years ago. Have faith!:j
  • I've shopped at Aldi for a good few years and have always noticed that the majority of the cars in the carpark are mostly new/nearly new.
  • If you want to pack your shopping at a leisurely pace while the rest of the world waits then go to Tesco or M&S and pay the over inflated prices for doing so.

    Otherwise when in Rome............................
