I agree with uk2bkk, I only went to Aldi once, would never go again. The customer service is rubbish, it's not very clean, and it's not even that cheap. Or maybe that's just my local Aldi.

I've shopped in Aldi before and am aware of the system. However one cashier was scanning the stuff so quickly and just putting them on the small shelf next to where the trolley gets parked for me to put into the trolley. She was going too fast for me to keep up with, so she would sigh and just shove stuff off the end into the trolley. Some things missed the trolley and bounced across the floor, so I got even further behind as I had to pick them up while she was still scanning/shoving.

It was a bit of a nightmare, and I did think she should match her scanning speed to the speed of the person putting the things back in the trolley. It put me off shopping at that particular cashier again, as she showed no care whatsoever for the goods I had bought.

If she had done that to me I would have said something to her, especially if she had damaged my goods, I would also have written a letter of complaint. Cheap goods or no, there is no need for rudeness from staff and if the customer needs to complain, you can do it in a civil way. It's no good countering rude behaviour with more rude behaviour.

if everyone stopped shopping at a supermarket where the service was poor on one occasion, they'd be empty!

    even M&S
Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?

She shouted across the store for the Manager who relieved her and I had a go at him, was tempted to throw all the groceries back at him, as they were just about packed I threw the money at him saying we will not be back. Distressing scene witnessed by all.

and you felt this was the way to deal with it?

Hehe, the last time I heard the word 'cretin' was from one of my little brothers friends on the playground!

I was simply taking your attitude as the lead my friend, your automatic offence taken by my use of a simple saying, I found to be hilarious so i decided to follow your lead and see how much more you could possibly get wound up...seems like your a pretty wound up person.....you took such offence in a thread about bad service in a supermarket...makes me wonder....

Perhaps you are the said woman in the OP's thread that was throwing his lovely wife's shopping around!!!

    DUH DUH DUUUUHHHH!

There's nothing about my posts that looks like I'm getting wound up. Perhaps indulging in a spot of idiot baiting though...

Here follows a very simple lesson in our consumer society.
Customers (such as myself) buy goods from a shop. The shop makes a profit from the money the customers pay in. Part of this profit is used to pay the wages of the staff, thus,as I said
    We INDIRECTLY pay their wages.

Please read my post before making silly comments. I said that in the Northampton I was told that they were company rules, whilst in the Milton Keynes shop, the manager told me they were not, for the type of purchase I was making.

    whhat do you mean sic
