Trash To Cash Challenge

Options
I'm a bit of a fan of the car booty programmes etc. This has just inspired me to see what I can do myself in terms of turning trash to cash, so I thought about setting a challenge and see how we all get on, perhaps we may even make a bit of pin money.

Heres the idea, browse the boot sales or jumble sales to find an intem you think you can maximise on, of course you may already have something at home you can use. You don't have to spend much anything from 5p to a fiver. Then either list it on Ebay or car boot it or auction it (if its really good) see how much cash you get back! Then list your trash to cash success stories here, hopefully there won't be any cash to trash stories though!

I have a few bits that have been waiting to go the tip in the garage, so I will start and list some of those on Ebay.

Good luck x

This, I am sure, will be of great interest to all the ebay sellers, amazons, and other boot fairs and auction goers on MSE and so I'm going to move you across to the Ebay & other auctions board.

    Good luck :)

This is what I have been doing on Ebay for years. Best so far was a spend of 20p and a return of £18
I'm back after a break :money:
  • This 2 person challenge could be taken a stage further with the profit from the first sale going to buy the goods for the next sale and so on......after an agreed period of time you add up all your costs and profits and see who's won.

True ATycoon - You could start with £10 each to buy whatever you wanted and go from there, like the property development programme but on a miniature scale!
  • Brilliant Tom Thumb, good luck with it, might challenge my OH hes always teasing me as I am forever watching these programmes but never have had the guts to try it myself!
