£167 today for 500l at Craigs Fuels BT47, cheapest in a long while for me:T :T :T
Didn't have enough room in my tank for 900l's it only a wee one;)I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -
Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with this. My heating didn't come on this morning and it looked (in the dark) as if the tank was empty. I only bought 900L of oil on 22nd December. We were away for a full week in January and I normally get 10 - 12 weeks from 500L. It just isn't possible that we used that amount of oil. I'll have to hope there's still some daylight when I get home from work and can dp the tank but is there any way of knowing whether the tank has been interfered with? I don't have a lock. If I can show that the level of oil was way beyond what we would have used do you think I'll be able to claim from insurance?0

no you wont be able to claim from insurance. - i dont believe home insurance policyies cover oil in your tank - they cover oil spillage or leaks but not the oil being stolen.
i think mostly when oil is taken they just drill a hole near the bottom of the tank and drain it that way, however if you were away then I guess its possible someone did come in and siphon it out.
i hope it hasnt been stolen, but if it has report it to the police so at least its noted (not that they'll do anything). You can also get a padlock for the future but as I've said anyone who is out to get oil will most likely just drill a hole so theres not much you can do to stop that.DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

Thanks nadnad. It turned out to be a boiler problem, not the oil.0

I too find Boilerjuice is rarely the cheapest these days. Instead I use www.cheapestoil.co.uk and have beaten Boilerjuice's price in 4 out of my last 5 orders.0

Ordered it now anyhows almost out and off sick 500l for £156 from Maxol.
Think boiler juice was doing couple of quid cheaper but never used them. For furure reference does boilerjuice send a mini tanker ir is it extra. Would not want it going through house0
