As for the actual listed prices, I find that the suppliers are always cheaper than their prices on there, even though they seem to be updated all the time.0 -

There's usually a big difference in price between Northern Ireland and the rest of the uk
Most in the uk check what boiler juice is charging, then ring around to beat it
Try not to buy oil in the winter, smaller users tend to get a fill in the summer. We fill 3 times a year and still avoid nov- feb if possible
It's very rare that it drops below 60ppl now:(0 -
Ooops,
it is of course the NI site I refer to in my post above, not the heatingoil.co.uk one.0 -
use comparrison sites first, then try your usual supplier , asking their price and then quote one of the cheaper companies on comparisin site, almost always they will price match to get your custom.just saved £15 on 500 literes. it is well worth trying but do quote a supplier in your area to compere to0

And if you think like that then how do you know petrol pumps are calibrated correctly?
If you think you are being short measured, get in touch with trading standards0 -

How do you know they did not put 50 litres into another compartment in the tanker before putting the rest of the 500 into your tank and then doing the printout?Dave0 -

I was very impressed with my last fill, the amount was adjusted for temperature! (to 15C, I got an extra 3 litres throgh the meter, but obviously it must have worked out the same volume?)
I can't see them giving you less when it's above 15C though, there would be a backlash, so how does that work?
That was LCC Oil, maybe it's a new thing they all have to do now.0 -
Saw that n my last delivery docket from Bangor Fuels. Probably built in to the metering technology.0
