  • Quote for 300 litres ( at 60.85 per litre) = £183
    - from Emo-Oil, Belfast yesterday
Apparently is the same price whatever number of litres ordered.

300 litres is minimum order though.

I was up with a coal supplier yesterday too and they said that their trade is increasing- people are going back to open and stove fires in some areas.....
( pity so much of that heat goes up the chimney..)

I know this might not be relevant but........

for the price of 900l of oil I was able to change to gas! Firmus are currently offering grants of £1800 if you are eligible and live in an area where gas mains are running.

    Just a thought.:)

My understanding was that a multifuel stove is at least as efficient as oil... A pain to switch over, though, and fuel storage isn't as easy to manage...

I'd love to switch away from oil, but (in spite of repeatedly sending us "why don't you switch to gas" adverts), Phoenix won't supply us... The main in the next street is too far away. Wood pellets would be nice... if we had the 6 cubic metres of storage for the fuel...

I ordered 1000 litres yesterday. 605GBP inc vat.
  • Last tankful was 65ppl, will probably go for a combined system next year (multifuel stove/oil, use whatevers convenient).
  • Is there anywhere does price comparison for up to 300 ltrs, and what do you imagine would be the difference between that in ppl and 500 and 900?

Usually only get price comparison for 500 and 900 l's on these sites but they give you a litre price too, cheapest 500 price at present is 59.6ppl, 900 price is 58.3ppl.

Therefore I would expect to be paying minimum 60ppl for a 300l delivery and with some companies considerably more, best price would be £180 but again some companies will surcharge small deliveries and you could pay up to £200.
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:
  • Most companies will quote you a price for 300L online if you click through to their website.

I have had to do this the last fcouple of times I bought oil as I couldn't afford 500L and I was surprised to find it wasn't always the cheapest at 500 that were cheapest for 300.
