Look, you just don't get it, do you.
The money that is banked at a bank, belongs to the customer, not the bank.
How the customer chooses to manage that money is no business of the bank, it is the customers responsibilty.
I have posted a link futher up this page that demonstrates fully how the banks work and the real contempt that they show for their customers.
It ain't your money...end of.
Just out of interest could you survive without a bank account? if so I suggest you do as if you bank with them it is the banks business.0 -
You can offer me over 5.5% at Natwest?
Natwest E-Saver is 1.3% at the moment
You said in a previous post the only savings you have with YOUR bank and I conclude from other posts re queing that this is Natwest have the best interets rates in a regular saver - so if you have savings in a regular savings account with natwest then the internet rate would be better

It is the banks business to bank my money, not to tell me what to do with it, a huge difference.
And it's the bank's bank, and one man with a massive grudge will not do anything to make them do things exactly the way he wants. Just please, shut up already. I've given up on rational argument with you, because you're clearly irrational, with a chip on your shoulder the size of the moon. I strongly suggest you give up on banks altogether, because just about any business activity they engage in with "your money" seems to p*ss you off in some way. As willo has said, it is indeed the bank's business what they do regarding your money, because you're lending it to them. If you don't want them marketing to you, or suggesting things to you, or indeed suggesting you do anything at all which might give a mutually beneficial result, then my polite suggestion is to NOT USE THE F*CKING BANK.0 -
Well, as you asked specifically SS, yes I would object to that as well, I don't believe it is any business of any bank cashier how I run my affairs, I don't have a HSBC Credit Card, I use a Nationwide CC and I pay that off in full each month, as well as a Barclaycard ( formerly Goldfish ) so it costs me nothing anyway, in fact I get cashback on the BC one, so I actually make a small profit on that one.
In the unlikely event that HSBC have any offers that are of interest to me, I can find them for myself at their website.
Taking Shelf/HSBC stacker's analogy further, if a customer is paying a credit card bill, not in full so paying interest each month, you would think that a cashier is wrong to suggest a 0% balance transfer?Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0 -

I am sure that you and a few more bankers would prefer that I " shut up " however I will continue to post my views on here without your permission, if you don't want to read anything that I have to say, feel free to ignore.
Clearly the bankers on here seem to think that they all know what is best for us all, well I don't agree, and will continue to say so, as I see fit.0 -

They bleeding well don't Inactive! That's your paranoid belief, because you seem to think "banks" and "bank staff" are out to steal every single penny you have! Like I say, the MASSIVE chip on your shoulder is plain in view for all to see.0 -

Well take your own advice and if they offer you something then just say no thanks (effectively ignoring their advice) instead of kicking up a fuss about it.0
