  • I am on my first cashback contract with cpw 250 free mins 50 texts pm. I chose cpw cos the feedback on them was generally ok but wasnt the best deal out there at the time.

Now I know I have to send my 4th statement in to get 1st cash back. I should have got it over a week ago but it did turn up today, but what is odd the statement is dated 14/9/06 and i get it today 23/9/06 the 1st three
were within a couple of days of the date.

Now call me a cynic but was it sent late cos it was the cash back one??????

I`m not sure of the window I have to send it in to claim but its gonna be in the post on monday.

Sorry, I clicked tahnsk instead of QUOTE:)

With CPW wyouu have 60 days within which to submit any claim, so you will be fine. CPW seem to be quite ethical when it comes to cashback claim:)
  • e2save.com were fine last year

Having no end of problems with phones2u direct........ I have emailed asking for the name and contact details of their CEO, but no response so far.

My issue is slightly different in that the T&Cs on their website give a 21 day window in which to claim. However, they are saying that at the time of my order the T&Cs only gave a 14 day window, and although I submitted my claim within 21 days, it fell outside the 14 day window which applies to me.

Given that the T&Cs on the website are not dated, and given that fact that there is no historical T&C information on the website, I feel that they are at best misleading (perhaps deliberately), and at worst lying about the change in their T&Cs.

Will try to contact their CEO, but failing that I guess trading standards is the next stop? And after that the small claims court?
  • I changed my name when I got married and I had to go into a Carphone Warehouse highstreet branch with prrof but as I'm a full time carer without transport. Called CS after got 4th bill explaining everything and how long I've got to change name and send in. CS told me not to worry as got to end of contract - ie. no time limit.

Anyone else had this or was I conned. I don't want to have fight them if they say CS was wrong.

Freeque, don't worry about a name for the CEO, just send a recorded delivery letter addressed to the Managing Director. You cannot reasonably be expected to do better than that. The post room will know who to pass your letter to.

Further to my various post regarding phones2Udirect, I am very pleased to say this I have now received my cash back. This was subsequent to my making it very clear what courses of action I would take if they didn't send it, which included court action and negative coments on a number if consumer forum websites.

Interestingly, the cheque was hand written and I would guess that they would normally print them on a "cheque run", unless, of course, sending out a cheque is a rare occurance.

I also received an email asking if I would feedback on consumer web sites that they have paid me, as (paraphrased)"people are keen to complain about them on the net when they do not receive cash back they are not entitled too, but people who are entitled to receive their cash back and do so, do not place positive feedback on the net, so would I please do so"

    So I have.

Mobileshop are running late on my cashback payments... below is there response.

"Due to the network changing the terms and conditions as to when they pay the commission to us to enable us to pay the cashback we have had to change the payment date slightly to the 3rd. On that date it will be put back in to your bank account. We do apologise for the delays but we can not prevent the network changing the terms and conditions."

If they did deposit on the 3rd, I should see it by now (3 working days for BACS) but no sign. They say it can take 10 days to show... (?)

All of which means I'm still waiting 3 months after sending in the voucher!!

Very slow.... but on the plus side, they are very responsive via email.

Two claims sent in on the 24th, received 2 texts confirming they'd been successfull on the 4th of October and to wait 14 days for cheques. Alot better then my previous claim with them. They always pay up anyway, this was very smooth however.
  • I received a text on 22 Sep to say my claim is successful and will receive cheque in 14days.
14 days gone, today received another text saying the same thing i.e. claim successful, 14 days for cheque etc...

    Is this a delaying tactics?

    ***** update on 07/10/2006 *******
received cheque, overall took 27 days from sending claim to receiving cheque - well pleased.

  • The CEO of Phones2u Direct is David Ellis, if that helps anyone.

Do you name him as an individual in your county court claim, as a representative of the company, or do you name the company as a whole?
