I have stuck with dialaphone. I've just ordered my 4th pair of contracts through them.

I did have one problem that needed me to claim again. I send bills in for both contracts in the same envelope hoping to save on the special delivery. They processed one. I hat to send the following bill in for the next contract.

They did tell me that I was supposed to send bills in separate envelopes. "where does it say that?" I asked.

Rather than argue the toss, for the sake of £3.85 I sent another bill in which was processed in good time. I did mean to write to them anc complain but I can understand how that situation could arise.

I don't think it was a deliberate ploy on their part. I suspect I fell victim to an overworked data processing clerk.

The other two problems I had (no reponse to one bill and being incorrectly told I had sent it in at the wrong time) were both sorted out over the phone.

I am going with them again though.

If the OP would like to PM me I can give them more details as to exactly how the problems were sorted. It's too long to go into here.

I can vouch for dial-a-phone...they are v.quick at sending your money and they even send a text message to the mobilephone to tell you when they have received your claims!

I'd appreciate any info or experience that anyone has had with "coolnewmobile".

They have the Motorola SLVR (product) Red phone on several Orange tariffs with free 12mth line rental that looks good to me, but I know nothing about the reputation of this company.

    Any help will be appreciated.

I have used CoolNewMobiles for the last 12 months and haven't had any problems at all. They have been really good and offer a good cashback on Quidco which is paid quickly. You just need to ensure that you get the claims in on time, they will send you an email to confirm receipt of the claim form. Can recommend them.

Thanks SCRIBES, i am also looking at the SLVR. There seem to be alot of companies that look the same (Coolnewmobile, phones2u, phonebox direct). Does anyone know if they are linke? What about the chances of them going bust, owing us money?

    Thanks

  • I have been chasing Phones2UDirect for my first (6 months) cash back. They have now writen to advise me that I did send in the six month bill but I should have sent in the seventh month bill. I had noted that in their T & C's it says to send in the bill after you have had the phone six months - 180 days - which I though was a very strange way of explaining which bill to send in. To be on the safe side I sent in the sixth - I will now send in the seventh with a covering letter which will be copied to my solicitor.

    I Quote from their letter:

"You have sent in your claim to us too early. We required as per the terms ans conditions that you agreed to at the time of your application the 6th months invoice is classed as the first invoice on or after you have had the phone for a period of 180 days from the date of connection"
  • E2save have been great with us for the past 12 months.
However the same cannot be said for phones2udirect - we sent all of the required paperwork 'signed for delivery'. They have not responded within their terms and conditions timescale. They do not respond to emails.
We have taken out a claim via the small claims court and await the result of this.
