My contract is with 3 and I phoned them when I was unable to get through to p2ud and they advised me that I could cancel the contract through them. Not sure how it will work as you need a returns number!0

I have just received my first cashback claim from Mobile Rainbow having taken out a contract with them for the 3 network on a £45 a month tariff. They were 14 days late in paying but their communication was good after I contacted them to ask where payment was and payment was made into my bank account despite the fact that I never took out insurance for my phone so you don't need to take out insurance to qualify for their cashback offer. I will let you know how my second and third cashback claims go, but so far so good.

Hi MJMC and welcome to MSE.
I don't mean to cast aspertions but I must urge MSE members to treat a new member's word with extreme caution, especially given recent shenanigans with Mobile Rainbow and the fact that they haven't yet (in my eyes, at least) proven their ability and willingness to live up to their cashback promises.
For everyone's info, MJMC registered only today and, to date, this user's only posts are all in support of Mobile Rainbow, posted on a wide range of threads about either Mobile Rainbow or cashback generally. Alas, all too often these are classic indicators that the user is a plant, designed to falsely boost confidence in a much maligned company...I really do hope that I'm wrong in this instance.
Sorry if you feel offended by this MJMC but I'm sure you can understand that, where so much money is at stake, we really must give more weight to info supplied by long term contributors of the forums and treat users who register in order to post supportive statements with caution. It's nothing personal.
Hopefully in time you will be able to prove me wrong by becoming a much loved regular contributor to these forums as a whole.
regards,
Reestit MuttonFor anyone wishing to contact me privately to ask me a question, can I ask that you email me directly as my PM box is often full.0 -
I have a question maybe someone can help me with please?
I'm looking into signing up for one of the 12 twelve month free line rental deals. I'd like to go through onecompare as it sounds like they're helpful with finding out terms and conditions etc., but then I'd also like to get cash back from Quidco! Can I just use the reference number from onecompare without buying through them? I've noticed that it's generated when you link to the site rather than when you make a purchase.
Sorry if this question has been answered before, or if this doesn't make sense!
Thanks,
Laura0 -

Just to chip in my twopenneth on this one.....
Deals have gone ok with:-
1. e2save - my first cashback deal around 5 yrs ago, only issue was I got a new switch card (new issue no.) which wouldn't let them auto-credit my account. couple of phonecalls sorted it out.
2. phones4u direct off the web( not in-store) - no hasstle at all.
3. simply3G - one chase-up e-mail for each cb claim, both paid within a week.
AVOID JUST3G (EVEN WITH THEIR NEW-LOOK WEBSITE) - AM ABOUT TO FILE A CLAIM IN COURT AFTER TRADING STANDARDS HAVE ADVISED ME TO DO SO.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
Hi
As a newbie to the forum, I hope Reestit Mutton doesn't shoot down my 1st post (and a long one it is!) and past experience and advice, but I do very much appreciate the need for such posts to warn others and ensure a forum such as this is kept to a high standard. All the same, I'll give my 2p worth, or in this case, many £££'s worth!
I first found out about cashback deals about 2 years ago when looking online at Dial-a-phone, and with something like a 6month cashback on 3, I thought "Wow!" and went for it. Got the cashback no problems, and presume all would as they are such a big well known company.
Realising such deals were available, I searched further and found a 100% cashback deal! Boy was I happy with that type of bargain, so went with that on Vodafone. Bummer was I had to downgrade halfway through to make it "free", which left me with too few inclusive minutes and sms's. Of course the upside was, and get this... I got 100% of the cashback after sending in only my first bill, so here I was getting paid in advance for a full year's subscription! That was with Forwardcellular who has since closed down - maybe I was one of the lucky ones.
A year ago I needed 2 new contracts for my g/f and I, and got 2 more 100% free contracts, both on 3 as they do appear to offer the most inclusive deals. Anyhow, mine was with MobileRainbow, and I have already successfully claimed 1 of the 2 instalments with them. That was in April, and it did take a bit of prompting to get them to pay up, which eventually happened in June sometime. Hopefully I have no trouble with the final amount next month.
My g/f's on the other hand was through TheMobileOutlet, and after her cashback application on 24th April, got the cheque on 19th May! Again hoping for another smooth operation next month for the last instalment.
And now, as both contracts are coming to a close, I am in the market for more free contracts, hence looking for "safety advice" on a site such as this. I have already ordered 1 new contract with CoolNewMobile, so hope they are trusty. Awaiting a mate's outcome as he has just made his first claim.
Anyhow, as I have some experience of a few different sites, thought I would sign-up and share it with you all. So far I have had 4 different contracts with 4 different sites, 3 of them 100% cashback deals, and I have got my money out every time!Seems I have been luckier than some, but I just warn all to READ the T&C's VERY CAREFULLY and ALWAYS DO EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAY! Any confusion, email and/or call them to ensure you have the story right so you get it right.
Good luck,

Absolute rubbish - I believe that they just try it on to see if you will fight them. Non existant customer service - avoid at all costs.0 -
