Haven't posted before. Am having nightmare problems with Mobile Addict/Mobile Solutions Online/Three. They cold called me-tho they said it was a call rewarding customer loyalty -and persuaded me to take a MotorolaV3x deal. Took cold feet as I would have to pay upfront and didn't trust them. They won't let me return the phone -said I was out of cooloff period when I wasn't. Deny receiving my emails & letters. Network 3 keep billing me though I've never used their service. Mobile Addict even called & said they would collect the phone, then same guy called and said his operative couldn't collect it as he had had an accident and was in hospital, it would be collected the next week. I called Mobile Addict & they said they don't collect phones, that I had been called by their call centre(India) and that I was now out of time (21days) to return the phone and in breach of contract. Am now being threatened by 3 with external debt collectors. Three say I must return phone or they will continue billing, I can't get company to accept phone's return- they say I need a returns numberand won't give it. I'm going to Trading Standards. But be warned - avoid Mobile Addict & Mobile Solutions Online!0

I have used cash back deals on phone contracts with various firms over the years with no problem. However in January this year I purchased a phone from Phones2udirect on a cash back deal and was perhaps too complacent, and didn't bother printing out their terms and conditions. So after my sixth statement from O2, I sent what I thought was the correct bill by registered post the day I received the bill. I even phoned to check they had received it and asked when I could expect the cheque as it seemed to be a long time in coming.
So when I received a letter to say that I had sent the wrong bill, I queried this and was informed about the 180 day rule, (which makes the 6th bill mysteriously become the 7th bill,) and was told to read the terms and conditions. Also in this letter it said that the bills had to be sent in within a 14 day gap. However as the t&c on their web page at the time stated 21 days I thought this was a typing error, and sent the correct bill in, knowing it would (just) make it within the 21 days quoted in the t&c's. They had left it so late telling me about the bill being the wrong month that there would have been not enough time to send it within the 14 days quoted in their letter. I then got a letter back to say it was too late, as the t&c’s had in fact changed since I took my contract out, and it WAS only 14 days as in their letter.
What also became apparent though is that because the first claim was rejected, I now cannot claim for any subsequent claims, so it appears I have lost out completely. Is this the only company that does this? Does anyone have any ideas what can be done about this. Also does anyone out there have the t&c’s from January for the 12 month O2 deal with a Nokia and does it really say bills have to be in within 14 days?0 -
boblevin wrote:Further to my various post regarding phones2Udirect, I am very pleased to say this I have now received my cash back. This was subsequent to my making it very clear what courses of action I would take if they didn't send it, which included court action and negative coments on a number if consumer forum websites.
I also received an email asking if I would feedback on consumer web sites that they have paid me, as (paraphrased)"people are keen to complain about them on the net when they do not receive cash back they are not entitled too, but people who are entitled to receive their cash back and do so, do not place positive feedback on the net, so would I please do so"
So I have.Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0 -
It is the first time i will try the chequeback offers and i dont want it to go wrong, so your help will be appreciated :j
I have found some great deals:
e2save
w850i free
12 months contract
8 months halfprice
O2 400mins+100texts @35 Pounds
carphonewarehouse-same deal
w850i free
12 months contract
8 months halfprice
O2 400mins+100texts @35 Pounds
Of course i will use quidco for both!
The question is, who to trust? I know that they are under the same company, but will i have any problems? Will they sent me a cheque or the money will be directly to my bank account?
I would appreciate if you let me know any other good deals for the same phon e and a 12 months contract. :beer:0 -
My wife and I have both had phones from Mobile Rainbow. They got the initial bit right, phoned to confirm order-delivery etc, but we both had to phone three times for cash back vouchers and when it came to getting the cash back... well dont get me started. There staff have been rude on the phone, some of them have such a strong Asian accent we cant understand them, it's ben horrible and we will never buy from them again0

Just submitted my small claim against phones2udirect via the moneyclaim online website.
Wasn't really sure what to put in the 'claims description' box, as the space was pretty limited. I hope what I put will suffice!
Will let you know what happens.0 -
Completed my first contract with E2save this month. Got all my chequebacks but the 2nd installment in May needed prompting as I did not receive text confirmation of claim.
On my second contract with E2save I called them today about whether they received my 2nd claim. Got through first time today and will receive a cheque in a couple of weeks.
Overall, happy with E2save offers but dislike being on hold on their Moneyline.0 -
is it 0845/0870 number? then you should get an o2 contract so you can call those numbers out of your inclusive minutes:beer:  :beer:0

Received 5 cheques from e2save this past month, within 4 weeks, without any follow up calls. They seem tohave got their cashback issues sorted since my last claim!0

DONT GO TO PHONEBOX DIRECT !!
I have been with them a year and not recieved a penny off them so lost £360 so much for the cash back deal. I have writen a letter to them and had no reply, just rang them this morning and all they could say is that they are dealing with my claim and i will get the money back, i think it is just one big con, SO DONT USE THEM. INFACT I WOULD NOT TRUST ANY COMPANY THAT HAS A CASH BACK DEAL AGAIN.0
