Cashback/Cheque back -Who to trust & avoid?

Dialaphone told me last week that they have "hundreds" of 12 month free deals BY phone. There are lots of other free deals where the t&c are quite achievable.0
-
Hi, the T's & C's for Phonebox direct aren't visible on their website (unless you put credit-card details in first, which I'm reluctant to do without seeing these Ts&Cs).........do you know what their rules are regarding claiming cashback?0
-
Why don't you try click on "terms and conditions"????? In any case, maybe you should have a GOOD read through the relevant thread before going with them now.0

I have a 12 month contract with Mobileshop.com and was attracted to them by their cashback history and positive responses.
I am unhappy with the responses from Mobileshop. First Cashback claim made and acknowledged April 2007 should have been paid within 60 days ie 22 June. Second claim made and acknowledged 15 May should be paid by 14 July. Nothing received as yet for both.
Emails to cashback@mobileshop.com are ignored with a standard response claiming they are having difficulties marrying up customer bank accounts, sort codes etc. Telephone calls to cashback department result in an answerphone message the same as the email. You cannot get through to a person. Customer Servicwes only repeat the advice on their emails and answerphone. The problem has apparently been running since January 2007!!
Have contacted Trading Standards who advise writing to company by Recorded Delivery saying that 'time is if essence' giving 7 days in which to pay. If nothing received take action through Small Claims procedures with hopefully ALL costs plus admin, telephone etc being claimable against company. Managing Director's name is Daniel Naylon to whom correspondence should be addressed.0 -
Another very quick update. :rotfl: :rotfl:
I have just received an email reply from CNM.
My initial request was;
Thanks for your reply. The original terms of my
contract stated payment would be paid to my home
address by cheque in around 28 days. I have contacted
you by phone and was told by Kelly that the terms and
conditions have changed and that the new terms would
apply to my contract as well. Surely my contract is
governed by the terms as at the commencement of my
contract around the 20th/21st January 2007 which I
have saved and printed. Please advise accordingly.
The reply;
Thank you for your email. We can confirm that we have amended the time
to
process a claim to around 45 working days and have also amended the
terms
and conditions as we are an internet based company we do reserve the
right
to amend our terms as we state in our terms and conditions, in this
case
the 45 working days does apply to all customer.

The email has been forwarded to TS as proof. Previously, I only had word of mouth.

I wouldnt want to touch CNM with a barge pole they are renowned for not paying out.......................... I would prefer to stick with Mobileshop, carphone warehouse as at least they are paying outBack and on a mission:cool:0 -
anyone advise what phones4u are like for payments? As i seen a good offer on there website..0

For what it's worth I wouldn't go near them! They totally ignore email questions and I've just seen someone else's t&c. I've also come across mainly appalling feedback on these sites. In any case, there are much better deals elsewhere.0

Our last deal was with e2save.com, and they paid up on time no probs.
We are looking for another 3-4 contracts for family and need to know the best and thge worst.
Thanks
Hi, as you can see from other posts, the conditions are quite numerous and more than just sending in your bills in a particular time; send in the invoice/ dispatch note, quote your mobile no/order number on a covering letter. Failure to do this neams that ALL the cash back is lost.
You also need to check how many phones per household you can have deals on - some sites only allow 2 contrcts, in which case you will need to use more than one 'shop'. If e2save has been good for you then that should be your 1st port of call.
Good luck0 -

E2save has been good for me in the past. But at the moment, with their appalling terms and conditions, I wouldn't touch them. It's far too risky.0 -
So simple! Yes, do that and the network will sue you. Some dealers will also charge your credit or debit card for the phone for early disconnection. Network contract with you is NOTHING to do with the dealer; cancel your driect debit and the nightmare would REALLY begin and you wouldn't have a leg to stand on!0
