MrsMondragon wrote:Avoid Phones2U, I had to issue legal proceedings to get my first cashback. Even then they paid thirty pounds less. Nows its been three months since I sent my second cashback in....and im waiting. Looks like I have to go through the legal channels, again. AVOID.
Phones2U only paid up on my first claim after serving them 14 days notice of intent to take to small claims court. I luckly on day 13, got to speak to a Claims Department person (who happened to be walking through the office). 3 Days later, post dated cheque arrived.
I'm now 65+ days since my 9 month claim and have this morning written another 14 days notice of intent etc.. which I'll post, recorded delivery today.

Would anyone be put off by a deal. Such as £35 per Month For the first However many months. Then Half price after that .Forget about Claiming anything back .Pay the half price untill you upgrade. Or what ever. The first thing i do is work out the average per month. I am not at all fooled at the adverts. Which always show the lower figger up front0

I would personaly completly trust the carphone group (cpw, e2save and osps).
I've had 3 contracts with them and only had problems in the first one where I had to chase cashbacks - but they were nice and friendly on the phone and I got things sorted quickly.
Just make sure you send claims in by recorded post and mark the dates on your calendar!I always tell the truth. Even when I lie.0 -

I agree my one and only cashback deal I`ve done is with carphone w/hse i had the first cash back without any hassells at all so far. I would only go back to them.
Their call center has called me twice as well to check i dont have any probs and been very helpful.
I also got £35 back thro quidco i dont use all the free mins and texts and i`m going to sell the phone at the end of the year. so they at paying me i cant lose unless i muck up the other cash back payments.O0 -
Stay away from Phones2U - they are useless! I am still waiting for my first cashback (was due early November!).
I've had plenty of experience with cash-backs and followed the T & C's to a T! Have e-mailed them on Tuesday and still no reply!
Any suggestions before I start legal proceedings?0 -
Any feedback on 3 Mobile Fones regarding cashback ????
They have a good deal on a free 12 months and I'm about to order through Quidco.

I would avoid Simply3G if I were you. I have had a number of chequeback deals in the past (with other companies) and have never had a problem until now.
I took out a contract with '3' in July through Simply 3G. It seemed like a wonderful deal at the time.
During the first two four months I only received two of the bills '3' sent me - so I rang '3' and asked them to send me them again. '3' would only send them to me if I agreed to pay £5 each for them. I then rang and spoke to Simply 3G and advised that I had not received two of the bills and that I was requesting that '3' send them through to me again.
When the bills arrived they were on headed paper with the red '3' logo. I queried this with '3' as I had asked them to send out the originals to me - they advised me that these bills would be fine.
I sent them off to Simply3G - who have basically told me to get lost - so I am now out of pocket by £120 from Simply 3G and £10 for reprints of bills which are absolutely useless.
I have tried appealing to Simply 3G's better nature - but this has not worked at all.
Can anyone suggest any arguements that I could use that might be able to sway Simply 3G? Is there any point in me looking into getting legal advice about this?
I WILL DEFINATELY AVOID SIMPLY 3G IN FUTURE - THEIR POLICIES ARE FAR TOO STRICT AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICES TEAM ARE UNHELPFUL.£2008 for 2008 club member 3360 -
Avoid DIALAPHONE.
They have NO customer service. It's apparently automatic, so if you leave a message they'll get back to you. Doesn't happen. Phoned the sales team, was told that they don't actually have a customer service department and don't provide a telephone number anywhere on the website.
They also don't allow you to PAC your number across to another network, but again they don't tell you that on the website.
Under your t's&C's if you return your phone because you're not happy within 7 days it's up to you to confirm that they have received it by ...wait for it............telephoning customer service........see above.0 -
I am not having much luck with Mobileshop. When I signed up the cashback was due WITHIN 30 days. Then they sent me a letter saying WITHIN 60 days. Guess what I am still waiting for my first cashback which was due in my account on 12/01/07 and have been advised my email today "We are pleased to advise that your cashback cheque for £105.00 has been raised ready for posting from our offices on Friday.

Our policy is that all post is sent second class so please expect your cheque on Wednesday or Thursday of next week.
If for any reason your cheque does not arrive within a week or so, please contact Customer Services on 0845 345 5000 or email customer.service@mobileshop.com
" Which IS NOT what i was told at 8am this morning, they said it would be sent out to me first class tonight! I have emailed them back saying if I dont have it within 14 days then I am going to take them to small claims courtare you sitting comfortably?, then I'll begin.....
