Thanks for the info - I'm sure it will be ok in the end. I'm not getting into endless phone calls to MRM as I will only get frustrated if I get cut off whilst on hold. This company, MRM Marketing, handle the cashbback claims for The Link. If they dont sharpen their act up I will contact The Link and I'll tell them that I'll not be messing about anymore with this MRM outfit and that they will have to take the issue up with MRM, and if they don't act sharpish they'll find themselves issued with a summons in the small claims court and I'll add to the bill the costs of calling the 0870 number too.0

Hi,
just a bit of advice from the two lads above with The Link if possible......
I've just claimed my second cashback (sent recorded and told it HAD arrived :T ) but how do I go about the last cashback? It says send airtime bills 10 and 12 BUT you have to still be connected when they process it. Does this mean I can't cancel after 12months in case they take longer than a month to process? Or does it mean that as long as I have fulfilled my 12 month contract that I will be ok?
Thanks for any advice....You can't go wrong with carpet bombing...0 -
I've just been shafted by buymobilephones.net on my first, and all later claims, because one of there customer services representatives advised me that photocopies were ok, they are not! BECAREFUL!

If you were told this by one of their representatives and you can reasonably prove that fact then this is sufficient to prove your case in court and I would isssue County Court proceedings in order to recover the cashback. Add the cost of the summons to their bill. Write to them, telling them what you propose to do. You might consider suing for all of the cashbacks in advance, especially if you believe that your next claim could be hindered because of the problem on the fiirst claim.0 -
phoneboxdirect.com! Absolutely the worst mobile phone scam company I have ever dealt with. I sent in my first claim a month early due to confusing wordings in their T&Cs and Cashback offer documents. They sent deducted £10, just for this. They say that they never received the 2nd claim docs, now. They say all my future claims are void now. And all this time, I am paying over the odds for calling this 0870 number. None of the other landlines listed at saynoto0870.com or the one above seem to work. If I can, I am going to tell all my friends and whoever else I can to avoid this company.Look after your pennies, and your pounds will look after themselves!0

Lost over £700 because of SUSPICIOUS circumstances. CNM claim they did not receive my complete bill though the WHOLE bill was posted recorded delivery.
Interesting that the same has happened to my wife who has had her cashback rejected on the SAME DAY though her WHOLE bill was sent in a different envelope Recorded Delivery.
CNM have gone into a new low now. Claiming a bill is missing is one thing but to claim that a sheet is missing is something else -WHEN IT WAS DEFINITELY SENT- and what can we do to prove they received it - NOTHING! Absolutely nothing. Please BEWARE - You have been WARNED
I have read their T&C's/ I did comply with them. They having lost paperwork from 2 contracts is very suspicious - in fact seems like a Scam - but they messed up in that thought they are probably randomly scamming us, my wife has not changed her surname so they have tripped up. Unfortunaltely it is too late for me. Don't see how I can get my moeny back now...0 -

Tell them you will take them to the small claims court as you did send the whole bill, it is their word against yours and why would you not send the whole thing?Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -

Heres what I do.
Scan the entire contents of my claim (every page) - including the envelope & recorded delivery slip. And then take it to the Post Office and weigh it (and make a note of the weight of the sealed envelope)
In my letter I clearly itemise EVERY page of every document sent. And make a point of explaining on the letter what steps I have taken to ensure that the claim is 100% air-tight.
They are more likely to respect it that way - and mess around with a 'not so secure' claim0 -
Maybe worth numbering the pages and take a photo of them all and taking a final photo of them all stapled together.
Getting neurotic now, but these b****rds are getting worse by the day.
The annoying thing is all these mobile firms seem to all be going in the same direction, to screw the customer.
If 100% cashback deals aren't genuinely viable - THEN DON'T ADVERTISE THEM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If there is a genuine company out there, who wants to treat all their customers with respect and decency, the time is ripe to "clean up".
I'm after a new contract for my son, but who do I go to ?????????
Who can I trust ????????
Suggestions welcome please.
