I'm so embarrased. One for the ladies on here.

  • I "leaked" once when I was at school. Just before the summer holidays, I was really heavy and knew I had leaked but it was the start of the lesson. The chairs were white plastic so I tied my jumper round my waist (which was black) and kind of sat on my leg as to avoid the seat. The teacher made me get up and hang the jumper up then force me to sit down with both legs infront of me. I was mortified. Thank god nothing went onto the seat but it was a truly scarring event. I should have just asked if I could go to the toilet but the class was deadly quiet and it would've been soooo obvious!

The only equivalent really is when guys "get happy" in inappropriate situations!!

I dont look at anyones crotch or backside if thats any help so why would anyone look at yours? I dont mean that funny but other women dont really look at other womens bums :)

Dont worry about it im sure no one looked anyway.

And if a woman did see it im sure she's had the same problem!

I dont like having them either just take my pill all the way through its much easier. I know they are a way of life but they are just disgusting!

This happens to most women at some time or another, but it doesn't stop me feeling embarassed!

worst time-i was about 14 at school, major flooding...it went through everything and onto the seat. i had to get up and ask to use the loo, i got funny looks as i went with my bag in tow....i got to the loos to find they were locked...the silly receptionist said they would open them at lunchtime only (trouble with vandals etc or something). i then had to beg my textiles teacher to let me use the staff loo and had to explain why. a change of undies and tights later (and hoping my skirt would be ok as it was black)...

i had major problems untill i was 16 and asked my gp for the pill, he also gave me mefenamic acid aswell. things have thankfully improved a lot since then.

I'm another mooncup convert, they're fantastic and I wish I'd converted sooner! Obviously not needed at the moment though... Pregnancy is quite liberating in that respect ;)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Brings back a truly horrid experience!

Age 13, first ever period! Went to my usual horse riding lesson, with my usual white jodphurs on! Yes you guessed it, my 1st ever period started during the lesson! Result a lovely pair of stained jodphurs, one horrified teenager and a proud mother! I never wanted to ride after that but it was fine, noone ever said anything and it was very obvious what it was! My mum was so proud i'd started and told all her friends and my dad i'd started my period not where though, which was more embarrassing!

OP don't worry, most women have to deal with similiar things and will have been more interested in their children! Men won't have noticed! You know what their like! Don't even give it another thought!

You can pick sanitary pads up for pennies.

Why do you think we should spend millions of pounds of taxed money on something that can be bought for pence. It will cost millions to supply and administer such a scheme. Surely we waste enough as it is?

    where???

cos mine are not pennies and i go thru them like wildfire

Lol, I am now too scared to leave the house....no more school runs, no more hobbies.....think I'll just stay home and surf the web so no one can see me :)

OP maybe it is time you invested in a mooncup :)

cookie monster :rotfl: at that link! Poor man. I bet he'll dine out on that for years!
Seconded, I used to be paranoid about this sort of thing happening ( it has happened but I only wear dark trousers /jeans totm so not so obvious) I wish to god someone had told me about moon cups years ago.
  • I think Always should be done under the trades descriptions act!! According to their adverts "everything" will remain within the central area of the ST. Utter tosh!!

I'm only "heavy" for a couple of days each period, but I can guarantee that even a night-time one doesn't cope all that well.

Sorry if that's too much information!

Lucky for me any "accidents" have pretty much happened at home, but its embarrassing nevertheless. I have reached the staged though when I won't go anywhere on the heavy days!! It's the worst feeling when you stand up......:o

Another vote for school.... I was in assembly at the time. Luckily my best mate spotted it before anyone else and I turned my skirt around to the front and managed to cover it with my jumper. Thats the only time its ever happened to me though thankfully.

Years ago when I worked in a shop, I nipped out for my lunch to the pie shop next door. Walking down the street was a woman in the shortest skirt I have ever seen and as she walked it rode up. All you could see from behind was the string from her tampax hanging down her leg!!!
