I'm so embarrased. One for the ladies on here.

Well besides me feeling so, so embarrased I'm now not sure how tomorrow will be.

Well that time of the month is never pleasant and I hate it so much but as females we all have to deal with it. Today I wore blue trousers to fetch the little one from school. The problem is that they had become soiled from the you know what! I hadn't noticed this mark before I went to school but I have just asked my daughter if she noticed any marks on the trousers I wore and she said yes I saw 'mud' on them! Where I asked and she pointed it out........ (I'm obviously not wearing them now).

Obviously a lot of parents and especially the dads would have noticed this but no one said anything. If they had I would have run home in a flash. I am really embarrased about going to school tomorrow.

Anything like this ever happen to someone else?

oh no! how awful for you!

when i was at school, i rather stupidly wore a white skirt on a non-school uniform day and noticed at lunch time (when i went to the toilet) that there was a lovely red stain on the back of it - it wasn't a small stain and had probably been there all morning. i was horrified! for a split second, i actually wished that the toilet would swallow me whole when i flushed it!

luckily, at the time, i was crazy about this super long black leather coat that my nan had bought me and it was in my locker. i went and got the coat... and then ran home. when i got home, i called the school and told them i'd left because my cat had died - i didn't even have a cat!! i then stayed home for the rest of the week and forged a "sick note" from my mum saying that the death of our much loved family pet had left me shocked and traumatised!

i went back to school on the following monday and no one said a word. the stain must have been so obvious and i went to an all girls school, so there's no doubt that everyone would have known what it was. i was convinced that i'd be an outcast and ridiculed for the rest of the school year... i spent 5 days practically planning suicide over nothing!

go to school tomorrow. i'm sure no one will say anything. adults are far too polite, for a start. if your trousers are blue, from a distance, people might not have been able to tell exactly what it was anyway (especially the dads - men are clueless) and if you're really lucky, you might not even run into the people who did see it (if anyone did).

Yes, similar happened to me. As others have said, it's agonising but most won't notice; those who do will be sympathetic and probably won't mention it.

(I take mefenamic acid -sp?- from the doctor to control 'flooding').

This happened to me while meeting my dad's new girlfriend - I sat down on her cream couch while she went to make a cup of tea. She was out of the room when I stood up and noticed the patch of blood on there. My partner was with me at the time and quickly covered it with a pillow while I stood there cringing!! We left in quite a hurry , my dad is not with her now but nothing was ever mentioned and as horrible as it sounds I really hope her teenage daughter got the blame and not me.

to be honest, most people are too busy looking out for their little ones to pay much attention to anyone else, and much less looking in the genital area of another parent - your DD may have noticed it because her eye level is more at crotch height, iyswim, I doubt any of the parents would have had such a good line of sight, you see?

If they did notice, then of course they're not going to think any worse of you - everyone has either had an accident, almost had one, and everyone dreads it happening to them. Try not to worry, and wear the same trousers, (but washed:p ) tomorrow - then if anyone did think they saw something they can put it down to a shadow.;)

Thank you for sharing your experiences. It's just one of those things you never want to happen. The staining if you like was at the back. I have the trousers in the washing machine on 90 degrees! Wonder if they will still be wearable tomorrow. One of the mum's is a good friend and she didn't say a word! Just shocking!

And if they did then they shouldn't have been looking :) seriously though you think that people look a lot more closely at you than they do...most people are too busy thinking about dinner or whether to stop and wash the car to think about you at all :)

like I said, she probably never noticed.

Next time you're dealing with a stain of this nature (god forbid!!) rinse it in cold water first - a hot wash will cook the protein and make it harder for the stain to come out. Sorry, good luck with the trousers.

Whilst walking down Lincoln high street once, there was this woman wearing tight white jeans and had an enormous red patch at the back! (and we're not just talking a little patch either...)

She obviously hadn't realised, and didn't even have a jumper or anything to tie round her waist and cover it up!!

Since then, I've been SO paranoid about this happening, that I tend to wear really dark trousers/skirt at TOTM!!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
