I peed myself in Boots. :o It was just a few days after giving birth and fortunately I had on a big sanitary pad and there wasn't a massive flow! I was looking at nappies (needed them for me as much as the baby!) The urge came on suddenly and there was nothing I could do. I tried to stop it but I don't think my pelvic floor exercises had done their job by then.

This happened to a work colleague of mine a few years back. She worked for HR, and just to happened to be a very formidable (and somewhat feared) member of staff in a very large organisation. She walked back and forth through our office several times, and we noticed a very apparent mark on her grey skirt. We were desperate to tell her, but the fear we had of her was preventing us. In the end we nominated the oldest lady in our office, called Joyce (50's), to go have a word with her. She had a very friendly, kind manner, and caught up with the lady in question on one of her frequent trips through our office, and then offered to follow, very closely behind her to sheild the offending patch, en route to the toilets. Once there she washed the offending patch, and whizzed her skirt round so the patch was towards the side/front.

She always gave us all a nice nod and smile after that, and I'm sure she was grateful that we'd all totally empathised with her, and not been silly or immature about it, or taken the mickey. We were only in our late teens/early 20's then.

Any man would have more than likely been totally oblivious to it, and any woman who noticed it, and guessed correctly what it was, would have only been sympathetic at the time, but will have given it no more thought than that.

If it's any consolation, I've been going to my boys' primary school for 3 years now, and could probably not recognise any of the parents if I were to walk past them in the street!
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

I think it's happened to most women at one time or another... My worst was when I was with my ex and we were shopping in the next town over. I sat down and when I stood up I felt the flood... I had to tie my fleece around my waist to hide it... And the miserable sod made me carry on shopping!

In all honesty I think I'd have to be really close to someone to mention if I'd noticed it... I think I would be too embarrassed on the other persons behalf to say something to them... I'm sure if anyone did notice then they would of been nothing but sympathetic.... And soak blood stains in cold milk first, it breaks it down better...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

If I was one of the mums at your school I can honestly say that I wouldn't have noticed.

I've never had that happen to me, and neither have I pee'd myself in public to date (yet!) but I did soil myself at home once whilst ill, shortly after the birth of my second daughter. I was absolutely mortified and ashamed of myself. It's only once I mentioned it to someone else (because I was so upset) that I realised that I wasn't the only one that this type of thing has happened to.

After the birth of my middle child, I was with a friend and bent over to pick up my daughter's dummy. As I did so, I uncontrollably broke wind. I seriously didn't know where to put my face! My friend didn't even seem to care (bless her). Thankfully now I have a little more control over my bodily functions (although I still need to do more pelvic floors).

We're all only human and we've all got the same bits (well most of us have anyway). Dont even worry about it.

(Sorry btw if all of that was tmi!)
