betty, if flooding is happening on a regular basis, go see your GP because a) there may be an underlying problem to be sorted and b) you may be anaemic if you're losing lots of blood. but yes, we've all been there!Signature removed for peace of mind0

This happened to me quite often as my first two days of a period are really heavy and I often couldn't change protection enough to cope with the flow. I got a mooncup, it doesn't happen anymore, but I still won't wear light trousers, too scarred I think!0

OMG this has bought back a memory of a 10 year old girl just before Christmas not sure what to get her mum as a present.
I had a good think about what my mum would like and thought about something i saw her buy often, and realised that there was this box of Tampax she bought often, i didn't know about girls and periods at that age as it wasn't something that had happened to me yet, so i went to boots and bought a packet and wrapped it up, very pleased with myself for thinking of something that my mum would find useful.
Christmas day she went ballistic, i was so mortified that she hated her present, i honestly thought she would love it as she always bought it.Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -

If sanitary towels/tampons are not working for you then seriously consider a mooncup - it will work out cheaper in the long run and is cleaner and more environmentally friendly than anything else.0
