The super extra plus lillets hold more flud (I've experimented) Those and a night time pad (the thick ones) last me an hour or so.

Poor you! I thought I was bad but nothing like that. Hope you get something sorted.

I'd love men to have to endure just one period in their lifetime. Although it would be quite weird knowing where they'd have to bleed from. :rotfl:
  • last week when i was shopping i had to rush to the loo and parted with the equivalant of a red jelly fish which when it dropped into the toilet created a small tsunami.i was stuck in that toilet with people tutting outside for about 15 minutes, ihad to clean the floor the walls and the toilet seat with my hankie because there was no loo roll and then no soap either. i dont know where the experts get their figures from! roll on the menapause.

Mooncup doesn't work for everyone. Mine is full and overflowing after 20 minutes!! The super extra plus lillets hold more flud (I've experimented) Those and a night time pad (the thick ones) last me an hour or so.

It happened to me when I was 16. I was on an ocean liner travelling form teh Caribbean to England with my friend (and her father) who was emigrating. We always ate at a table for four, us two girls and two adult men. Themen were always very polite and held out the chairs for us when we sat down or got up (men were very chivalrous in those days - was about 1968). One day I left the table and one of the men sprang up to help with the chair and there on the seat was a huge spoldge of blood. I nearly died. I could not face him again - luckily it ws the last meal! That ws the single most embarassing moment in my whole life - I was mortified.

This thread is fantastic. I was brought up to believe that ALL bodily functions were taboo and must never be mentioned, so this has been liberating to read everyones stories.

What worries me is a couple of people have mentioned passing blood clots the size of a hand. Does this happen during the menopause?
  • me to oyster - seeing them next week too, I want a keyhole hysterectomy

Louise, I think it happens to some people and not others... And not always at menopause... Best thing to do if it starts happening is to get help as soon as...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

And it would be hilarious to see their expression stuffing the tampon in ..... :rotfl:

Oooh thank you for sharing that you find it liberating, thats great! Personally it has been therapy for me lol.

As for worries during the menopause, I haven't experienced clots so much, but what you really have to look out for is if you so much as sneeze, cough, splutter or laugh, just like an old banger, either your radiator leaks or your exhaust backfires!! :o

Oh we have it all to look forward to don't we?

Tena ladies to the rescue. :A
