If I pay off the outstanding amount in case the CCJ was not in my favour, would it still stay as 'outstanding' on record for six years?
CCJ is a County Court Judgement. If it goes to court and you lose you get a CCJ entered on your file. It doesn't matter if you then pay it off or not, the fact you had a judgement is what is registered not the subsequent outcome.0 -
This thread is first rate!
XXXX... bear in mind, YOU took out two contracts with Voda, it was your choice, and YOU agreed to PAY Voda 2x Monthly line rentals. SEPERATE to that, you had an agreement with a completely seperate company that they would pay you cashback. That didn't happen. Not Voda's fault.
NOW, you want Voda to bail you out, because you can't afford the contracts, YOU agreed to pay for. As I see it, from the information rpesented in this thread, Voda HAVE tried to be flexible, but in the face of no response from you, and no payments, of COURSE they will consider the outstanding amount to be unpaid. If you had kep up correspondence with them, maybe things might have been different, but to be honest, Voda would have been within their rights to give you nothing at all, let alone half price line rental and a good will payment.
BOTH your lines got cut off, because they exist on the same account. If one is in arreas, the whole account is in arrears, therefore, they put the ACCOUNT on hold.
Sorry, but people in this thread have bent over backwards to ffer advice and help, particularly spirit, and every time one of them offers advice, because it doesn't fit in with what you WANT to hear, you get abusive and argumentative.
Frankly, I'm astonished that anyone would want to help you anymore!
Suck it up, you made a mistake, overstrecthed yourself, and then made mistakes in dealing with the fallout. This is no ones fault but your own. Grow up, get in touch with Voda and accept that you will have to pay. If it goes to court, you will only be worse off.0 -
Make sure you take ALL the info, not just the bits that you feel prove your case.Enough people here have told you that you don't have a hope with this and getting advice on incomplete info will not help your case.
Far away in the tropical waters of the Caribbean, two prawns were swimming around in the sea - one called Justin and the other called Christian. The prawns were constantly being harassed and threatened by sharks that patrolled the area.
Finally one day Justin said to Christian, "I'm bored and frustrated at being a prawn, I wish I was a shark, then I wouldn't have any worries about being eaten..."
As Justin had his mind firmly on becoming a predator, a mysterious cod appears and says, "Your wish is granted," and lo and behold, Justin turned into a shark.
Horrified, Christian immediately swam away, afraid of being eaten by his old mate.
Time went on and Justin found himself becoming bored and lonely as a shark. All his old mates simply swam away whenever he came close to them. Justin didn't realise that his new menacing appearance was the cause of his sad plight.
While out swimming alone one day he sees the mysterious cod again and can't believe his luck. Justin figured that the fish could change him back into a prawn. He begs the cod to change him back so, lo and behold,he is turned back into a prawn.
With tears of joy in his tiny little eyes, Justin swam back to his friends and bought them all a cocktail. Looking around the gathering at the reef, he searched for his old pal.
"Where's Christian?" he asked.
"He's at home, distraught that his best friend changed sides to the enemy and became a shark," came the reply.
Eager to put things right again and end the mutual pain and torture, he set off to Christian's house. As he opened the coral gate the memories came flooding back. He banged on the door and shouted, "It's me, Justin, your old friend, come out and see me again."
Christian replied "No way man, you'll eat me. You're a shark, the enemy and I'll not be tricked."
Justin cried back "No, I'm not. That was the old me. I've changed."
"I've found Cod. I'm a prawn again, Christian!"Vodafone sucks. :mad:0 -

I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It does not matter what I like to hear or not, unjust remains unjust no matter what.
Always seek impartial professional advice, and never give up. :AVodafone sucks. :mad:0 -
Yes, but impartial professional advice is just that. Impartial. Everyone on this forum has given you impartial advice: the reason people are members of this forum is to help consumers in any way possible if they are being bullied by big companies. However, in your case the big company involved has done absolutely nothing wrong. In fact, they have bent over backwards trying to appease you by offering you a deal which they did not have to as a goodwill gesture. I would suggest that you do seek advice elsewhere: maybe then you will actually believe what people are telling you.I accept no liability if you chose to rely on my advice.0
