I don't think that name calling is terribly helpful to the OP donnykebabMortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0

perhaps not but on the other hand you've got nothing but jibberish in reply to your questions. I suspect a lot of the problems stem from the op and his attitude to the shop/cs.0

I was trying to get help for my first line, they cut off my second line because the issue with the first line was not yet settled. More likely Vodafone failed to pull on the first line then using it as an excuse.why did they bar your line in the first place XXXX?
At first it was a temporary barred, just unable to call out to anyone even to the customer services, later was a permanent blocked. The mobile was completely dead, not even able to be charged up.No such thing as 'completely barred' btw. they may have put a temporary stop on it but are you saying that they cancelled it completely? Even if they had actually disconnected, it goes into a holding pool and can be retrieved.
Not sure just lots of amounts to add up.what was their reasoning for wanting £150.00?
Unclear. Why did they demand double the payment?
The staff at the shop was rather sympathetic, it is the person he called on the other ends of the line being obstinate.Understandably you sound very angry about this and whilst I don't work in the stores, I would just say that those guys are not trained to deal with account management (collections) issues - and I would imagine were on the internal phone to said dept who were telling them what to tell you?
Vodafone sucks. :mad:0 -
I hope you'll forgive me but I've not looked into how you do the quote thingy on here yet. Give me phones, accounts, network issues (vf) etc etc and i'll talk all day on the subject! so i'll answer your points one by one.
Vf have very set procedures with accounts so they won't cut one line off just to hack you off or because they want to use it as an excuse.
Have you got anything at all in writing from anyone, even if it's a snotty letter for payment? by anyone I am not referring to the cashback issue as the other poster mentioned, it's not anything to do with VF.
If you can't charge the phone up it will have nothing to do with the account status. did they say they were going to suspend the service if you didn't pay them? the bit that doesn't add up is them (apparently) saying that the number is not retrievable. A handset can be blacklisted - as in IMEI barred, this is normally done on lost or stolen handsets.
Would you normally take your phone abroad? It is standard practise over at Retail for them to take deposits if you are a new-ish customer? could it have been for that?
did you go into the store on a weekend or during the day? Accounts staff work Mon-Fri and so you may have got someone who doesn't ordinarily work in collections?
How have you left things with them at the moment? any letters flying around in either direction?Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
to Donnykebab, love the name btw.
Without wishing to sound patronising to the OP or anyone else, but people when they are worried, angry or upset and feel that their concerns have not been addressed properly (whether they have or not and irrespective of who is at fault), have to get it all off their chest initially.
I'm hopeful that by asking relevant questions that I can help and advise them - as long as I don't get personally verbally attacked - which I haven't been.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
another question for you XXX, how long ago did this happen?
Did you write into VF with your complaint? I re-read your original post which said you had complained to no avail? Obviously I only know your side of the story, but what did they say when you complained?Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
Am I ok to assume that you don't need my help now since you've not come back to me/the forum?Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0

I used to believe that as their behaviours in dealing with my accounts were unbelievably irrational and unacceptable.Vf have very set procedures with accounts so they won't cut one line off just to hack you off or because they want to use it as an excuse.
The first letter replied to my complaint said they will reply in the next 10 days. Then nothing no letter at all, the next letter was months later demanding for payments.Have you got anything at all in writing from anyone, even if it's a snotty letter for payment?
The phone is working alright when a charged battery is put in, just refuse to work with any SIM. There was no writing warning at all to say they were going to suspend the service. 'blacklisted' probably was what Voda-evil has done on my phones. Without looking at your account I wouldn't be able to see what's what.
The most frustrating thing is, Vodafone works like a concrete brick wall. They don't respond in a way as I would expect from a respectable business. Nothing but payment demands. How have you left things with them at the moment? any letters flying around in either direction?
