            hi everyone:hello:
 Very cold here this morning!
Just fought my way through a big pile of ironing and it is all done so just having a cup of tea and "persuading" OH to help me eat the rest of the tin of shortbread:rolleyes: ....I got loads of tins of biscuits and chocs from patients...have put some away for later in the year when we fancy a treat.
DS back from his dads at 12 as was there for the day yesterday so had a bit of a lie in for once...don`t like him being away though.
Need to get BM on soon for bread ready for packed lunches for OH and DS.
DS can`t wait to get back to school tomorrow...has been asking everyday if he can go:rolleyes: ...he doesnt cope well out of his normal routine.
Don`t know yet what we are having for lunch...have lots of cheese and crackers to use up and homemade pickles.
Dinner is Cinnamon Beef Stew which is apparently better if made the day before so I made i yesterday and just needs warming up and some veg doing.
I have to get some paperwork sorted today as I have a meeting with school on Weds am about DS, trying to sort out how they deal with him now he has been diagnosed with APD as well as his autism and dyspraxia:eek: .....they have been struggling a bit...he needs more support hours on his statement but as any parent of SEN kids knows it is like asking for the world
Hope everyone has a good day

Oooh, will it come to Worcester? :j :jHi all,
Well its just started to snow here in the west midlands!!!!!
I'm about to start lunch- leftover bulghar wheat pilaff with some form of protein added. I've got a piece of rump steak that I was going to stir-fry but it isn't really stir-fry weather so I might add that to the pilaff.
There's leftover turkey defrosting for tonight and some creme fraiche that needs using up so I think something creamy and comforting for tea -creamy turkey curry
I want to make a pudding with a jar of confiture de caramel. I have a bit of pastry in the freezer, bananas, some leftover chocolate sauce-might make little banoffee tartlets.0

            Afternoon Everyone
Its still cold here in Lancashire but no sign of snow:o
We didnt get up till late this morning 9am!! My lot are usually out of their pits long before 7am even at weekends. So it was a rare treat.I fed the kids and OH a giant cooked brekkie and that should keep them going till teatime.I've got pretty much up to date with the washing and ironing and I made bread yesterday so just need to boil some eggs for the tea. We're having salmon salad and I've got to whip some cream for the top of the trifle. So I reckon I can spend some time with OH and the kids this afternoon and maybe even pick up my crocheting which will be the first time since before xmas:o
MSD - Sorry to hear treacle had another funny turn last night and good luck with the research its amazing what you can find on the internet these days.Glad to hear that Tristan is having a good time at the moment
Hermione- Brrrr your post brought back many miserable memories of a former house I lived in that the central heating never worked properly in
Frenchmaid -yes you can warm donuts up in the microwave but be warned they have to be eaten before going cold as they go really hard when they cool down again

            Hi all.
Not quite so cold here in the South west as it was yesterday. Resisting turning up the heating as much as possible.
Went grocery bargain hunting in tesco's today. didnt do too badly!
Have done 2 loads of washing, just need motivating to hang it up now! DD17 is back at college tomorrow and DS15 is back at school on tuesday will be nice to have a bit of peace and quiet around the house!
Trying hard to finish off all the Xmas food. Need to start back on another diet ho hum!
Also have given up smoking (again!!!!!!) havent had any today, will probably fall off that wagon pretty quickly!
Waiting for DS's Dad to come and pick him up as he is playing footy this afternoon (was hoping the game would be cancelled, saves on washing! LOL!)
Better go and finish making shopping list and do meal planner, if I am hoping to OS properly and mind the pennies!:D0

            Afternoon all
Chilly here in Berkshire today, the frost is very pretty & I managed to take some nice pics.
DS is coming over later for roast lamb & all the trimmings, all his washing is now dry & ready for him to take home.
Back to work tomorrow so we'll be up at 6, hubby has been promised a full week, so we'll buy a weekly ticket. He's only worked 2 days since before Christmas.
I have 11 extra duties next month so that's an extra £60 in Feb pay packet.
 Have a good day everyone.
 Hugs Hester
